Seeing him make his way over, Duan Jiayan instinctively wanted to back away. 

He did not realise that behind him was a desk. He took one step back and knocked against the desk, the resulting sound that resounded in the quiet classroom sounded especially crisp.

This sound reminded Duan Jiayan of why he came here, Duan Jiayan suddenly said, “Wait, don’t move.”

Lu Xingci stopped and looked at him with interest.

“What’s your situation now?” Duan Jiayan felt a little uncomfortable being stared at him like this. His voice wary, he said, “Can you still think rationally?”

Lu Xingci leaned forward a little and whispered in Duan Jiayan’s ear, “It’s terrifying.”

Duan Jiayan’s eyelashes fluttered.

His throat was a little dry and he straightened his neck involuntarily.

If Lu Xingci exerted pressure on his nape, he’ll retaliate. 

He was feeling tense. The fingers on his glands started moving, rubbing it slightly.

It hurt a little, but not to the point where it was unbearable.

Duan Jiayan froze, he had one leg propped on a chair while the other was left dangling. 

What made him even more uncomfortable was the alpha standing between his legs, hugging him and trying to bury his head into the crook of his neck.

This intimate posture had quite an affectionate meaning.

“……” Duan Jiayan wanted to move back but the back of his waist was stopped by a hand. He watched as Lu Xingci cut off his escape. Duan Jiayan muttered, “Don’t go overboard. I already agreed to let you hug me, you still want to act like this?”

His tone as he spoke was unnatural, it could be seen that he was feeling nervous. 

With the way Lu Xingci was standing, with his legs apart, it was very easy for their bodies to touch.

He couldn’t move his legs but couldn’t not move them as well. After letting the other hug him for a while, Duan Jiayan was feeling a little uncomfortable and could take it no longer, “Lu Xingci, have you had enough?”

“Not enough.”

Shen Chilie was about to jump into the classroom when the alpha who was originally quietly buried in the crook of Duan Jiayan’s neck raised his head.

It was unlike what Shen Chilie said. Lu Xingci’s actions all looked very normal, Duan Jiayan even thought that Shen Chilie’s words earlier were indeed just exaggerations.

After getting in the car, Jiang Yao hurriedly closed the window and carefully studied his situation.

“How is it?” She asked in concern, “Are you able to control yourself?”

Lu Xingci’s rut was a big problem that often troubled Jiang Yao. As he’s usually able to control his instincts very well normally, the moment his rut arrives, the aggression innate in every alpha seems to become even stronger than ever. 

During his rut in his first year, Lu Xingci just so happened to be hanging out with Chen Yue and for some unknown reason, ended up in a fight in a bar.
