    Ch62 - Relief

“I’m in a hurry to go back to celebrate the new year,” Jing Shao said without even raising his head. They would have to fight the southeast sooner or later. It would be better to solve the problem once and for all, rather than drag the whole army halfway back home and then be sent out again by an imperial edict.

There was no benefit to dragging out the fight with these two fiefdoms at all. This was because the three armies of Shu, Xiang and Qian had to return after the battle, and the mountains were high and the journey far. The three armies leaving wasn’t a big deal to him, but the military power of Jiangnan was extremely important. What was more, it seemed that his experiences from his past life were still very useful. In just two months, the southwest was defeated. If the southeast could also be dealt with at the same speed, then they would really be able to rush back for the new year. Besides, there was a very important thing he had to do in the capital this winter.

Looking down at the treasure sword at his waist, Mu Hanzhang pressed his lips together. “Today, how did you know about the hidden chamber?”

“That…” Jing Shao’s hand holding the brush stopped. Damn it. He had only been concerned with showing off in front of his Wang Fei today, and had gotten carried away and forgotten this point. He continued writing after his pause, and without a change in expression, he said, “That’s one of the secrets left by the Great Ancestor.” In any case, his family’s Great Ancestor was wise and powerful; it made sense to push this matter onto him.

Mu Hanzhang looked at Jing Shao’s handsome side profile quietly. The matter of the secret chamber did make sense, since it was the Great Ancestor who had ordered people to build the Southwest King’s residence at the beginning, but what about the arrangements which Jing Shao made for the Sheng Jing and Tiger’s Teeth, Crane’s Beak passes? The third miracle pouch which Mu Hanzhang had given to Zhao Meng was written according to Jing Shao’s words, which had all come true, but he hadn’t seen Jing Shao receive any information from any spies in the last few days.

“That…” His lips parted, before they pressed together again. He didn’t want to force him to say anything he didn’t want to. It was inappropriate to keep pressing on this matter. Mu Hanzhang’s eyes darkened.

When Jing Shao finished writing the letter, he realized that his Wang Fei hadn’t spoken for a long time. He looked up to directly see that pair of beautiful eyes, which were currently pensive. Sighing lightly, he reached out to take Mu Hanzhang into his arms.

“Meow ya…” The little tiger cub in Mu Hanzhang’s arms opened its eyes because of the jostling. It called out softly and rubbed against its master’s chest, but was picked up by Jing Shao and thrown onto the couch. The little tiger had grown a lot in the past two months; if Jun Qing held him for too long, he would definitely be tired.

Mu Hanzhang laughed softly. “Why are you always at odds with it?”

Jing Shao discontentedly rubbed his face against that warm chest. “With some things, it’s not that I’m not telling you, but that I don’t actually know myself.”

Mu Hanzhang slowly stroked the head that was rubbing against his chest. “En, I understand.” He couldn’t be any clearer about Jing Shao’s feelings for him, but a person would always never be satisfied… Sure enough, it was still him who was too greedy.

Jing Shao sighed. His Wang Fei thought too much. He was afraid that if he didn’t clarify the matter, the other man would mull over it excessively. However, he himself didn’t understand the mysterious matter of his rebirth. Where should he start?

Mu Hanzhang looked at him in some surprise. He thought it was an information source that couldn’t be revealed, but it turned out to actually be a dream. But if this was a warning from Heaven, all of this really made sense. After all, no matter how good the information source was, it wasn’t possible for it to be so detailed.

“I didn’t mean to hide it from you. This sort of thing is too outrageous; even I don’t quite understand.” Jing Shao looked directly at the man in his arms, secretly regretting it. He should have just made up an excuse again rather than say it directly like this; if Mu Hanzhang didn’t believe him, and thought that he was just spouting nonsense to dodge the question, what should he do? “It doesn’t matter whether you believe it or not. I was just afraid that you would think too much, I…” Vexed, he scratched his head; he could handle other things well, but when faced with his own Wang Fei, he was always doing stupid things.

Mu Hanzhang looked at him in silence for a long while, before he slowly opened his mouth and said in a low voice, as if he were sighing, “Maybe in the unseen world of spirits, there is only the will of Heaven.”

Jing Shao suddenly widened his eyes. He actually believed it! “Jun Qing, you believe me.”

“I believe you.” Mu Hanzhang’s lips slowly curled up. This secret should have been hidden at the bottom of Jing Shao’s heart all this time. He couldn’t even tell his parents and brother this secret, but he actually told him just to prevent him from thinking too much. Such a caring heart, how could it not be worthy of trust?

It wasn’t “I trust your words,” but “I trust you”!  Jing Shao carefully savored the meaning of Mu Hanzhang’s words. It felt like his whole heart was swelling up, and he couldn’t help seeking those soft lips as he surged up to kiss Mu Hanzhang.

It was a lingering kiss, and all of the matters that gnawed at his mind faded for a moment. From the moment Jing Shao tasted this kiss, he was intoxicated.

My love, if only our hearts could switch places, so that we can understand just how deeply we feel for each other.

Both of them were gasping slightly by the time the kiss ended. Jing Shao looked at the man in his arms whose face was flushed red. Those long and delicate eyelashes trembled slightly, and it was as if they were scratching at his heart, making it itchy and warm. He couldn’t help inching closer and taking those red lips again. One hand slowly explored the area between the lapels of Mu Hanzhang’s clothes, and he easily undid the ties on them as he had done many times before, caressing that smooth chest with lightly callused hands and rubbing and pinching those small buds.

Mu Hanzhang shivered and gently pushed him away. A thought flashed through his mind; it seemed he had forgotten something that he had wanted to ask. “I had something else I wanted to ask you, but I suddenly can’t remember.”

Jing Shao smiled and bent his fingers to pinch a small bean and pull gently.

Startled, Mu Hanzhang gasped. He was going to say something else, but his mouth was immediately blocked by Jing Shao. By the time he came back to his senses, he had already been placed on the soft divan.

Jing Shao didn’t give the person under him room to protest any longer, and quickly stripped him of his clothes before he covered his lips.

“En… Someone will come…” They were now in the main hall of the southwest palace. Someone could come in to report to them at any time. Mu Hanzhang glanced nervously at the wide open door.

Seeing that he was distracted, Jing Shao took the opportunity to caress him, grasping his most sensitive organ.

“Wu…” Mu Hanzhang bit his lip to stifle the light moans that were about to slip out, and glared at Jing Shao. However, the person on top of him increased the pressure, and he could only gasp in return.

“Jun Qing…” Jing Shao straddled him, rubbing over his clothes and leaning down to nibble on an ear. His heavy breaths felt warm on Mu Hanzhang’s white neck, making the area gradually flush pink. Fortunately, Jing Shao had taken off his armor as soon as he entered the room, feeling it was too cumbersome, and he reached into his waist pocket to take out a small box.

“No, this place…” Mu Hanzhang was still nervous. If someone came in suddenly, what could they do? This was his only worry now, and the matter that he had wanted to ask Jing Shao about had been completely tossed to the back of his mind.

Jing Shao laughed and turned him over so that he was lying on his stomach on the divan and wouldn’t look at the door again. He whispered lewdly in his ear, “As long as you moan a little louder, those people naturally won’t dare to come in.” With that, he pushed his fingers, covered with perfumed ointment, into Mu Hanzhang’s body.

“You… Ah…” Mu Hanzhang was caught off guard when Jing Shao suddenly pushed his fingers into him. He wanted to glare at the other man, but couldn’t see his face from where he was lying on his stomach.

Jiang Lang was standing outside the door. He heard the activity inside, and his mouth twitched. He stopped the clerk who was about to go in with documents, and quickly sent everyone away. He then slowly closed the doors of the main hall, concentrating very hard on the task and not glancing to the side even a little bit.

“Don’t be afraid. Jiang Lang is standing guard outside.” Jing Shao saw that the person under him was still nervous; how could he still enjoy things like this? His heart couldn’t help but ache a little, and he didn’t want to tease him anymore. He kissed his beautiful shoulder blades and comforted him with a soft voice. Seeing Mu Hanzhang gradually relax, he felt relieved and caressed that flexible waist, then parted the alluring round globes, and bending slightly, thrust in.

Mu Hanzhang immediately gripped the round pillow next to his neck. They had been busy fighting a war for half a month, and then had been worried about his injury; the two hadn’t been able to be intimate for a while. Now, the knot in Mu Hanzhang’s heart had been untangled, and their bodies were joined once again. When the pain eased, he only felt incomparable pleasure. Feeling that his inner thoughts were a little humiliating, Mu Hanzhang buried his face into the pillow. Fortunately, he couldn’t see his own expression in this position.

Such an adorable little action couldn’t escape Jing Shao’s eyes, which curved up in a grin. Pulling that beautiful body up, he plunged in deeper.

Jiang Lang stood outside the door. Those who practiced martial arts had sharp hearing and keen eyesight; wet sounds filled his ears incessantly, and moans spilled out of the room once in a while, making his whole face and ears blush. As the guard on duty, he couldn’t leave, and could only move a couple of steps further away. Inside his head, however, he couldn’t help painting a picture of what was going on inside the room. All three generations of his family were imperial physicians, and they had heard plenty of things from the royal bedrooms. It was truly rare for Cheng Wang to be as affectionate as he was now.

Watching the sun gradually sink on the horizon, the youth Jiang Lang couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed and frustrated. When he returned to the capital, his father would probably want to discuss marriage with him this time. Unfortunately, he was a legitimate son. If only he could also marry a male wife like the Wang Fei; how great that would be.

After rolling around in the sheets, Jing Shao held the man, who was still trembling slightly, and took a bath with him. After they changed into clean undergarments, he had his guards clean up the inner room, before he carried his Wang Fei to the soft divan to rest. Mu Hanzhang was very tired. Leaning against Jing Shao’s chest and breathing in his clear and fresh scent, he quickly fell asleep.

Looking at the man asleep in his arms, Jing Shao breathed a sigh of relief. This way, Jun Qing should have forgotten what he had wanted to ask about; Jing Shao was worried that he would ask if he had had the dream on their wedding night, and then suspect that Jing Shao was only good to him because it was an instruction from Heaven.

“Wawu!” Xiao Huang, who had been kicked to the ground by Jing Shao at the beginning, was dissatisfied with just the edge of the soft divan, and scratched at the bottom of Jing Shao’s trousers.

Jing Shao rubbed the little tiger’s head with his toes, but his foot was grabbed and gnawed on with all the little tiger’s might.

It was a peaceful time in the southwest fiefdom. After fighting for two months, the army was able to take a break, and the soldiers and officers were very happy. Of course, the happiest was Jing Shao. That was because he discovered that the small bamboo buildings in the back were where the Southwest King had kept his harem of beauties. Each was different, and one was particularly special: The entire room was padded, and was probably a place for the Southwest King to enjoy himself.

Jing Shao ordered people to clean up the place and put in new cushions and blankets. Then, he would pull his Wang Fei along with him every day and come here to mess around.

Mu Hanzhang played with him at first, but found that he couldn’t get used to it. The more he let Jing Shao do as he wished, the more he found that when given an inch, Jing Shao would ask for a mile. Thus, he refused to be pulled there during the day, and when he got angry later, he refused to continue staying there, especially when he saw the right protectorate general’s shifty eyes that would look everywhere except at him. Extremely embarrassed, Mu Hanzhang resolutely moved back to the formal main hall.
