Chapter150
Zheng Xiao felt the same, holding his Guan Yu sword, he shouted while retreating, "Let's go and take him down!"
Before Shao Qi could open his door, bullets flew. He informed Zhou You, "They're approaching quickly, a total of 36. The most formidable among them appears to be a senior martial instructor, with the average skill level ranging from martial artist to martial instructor."
This squad ranks amongst the top at the Jiangnan base, akin to the standard set by the Dragon Team.
Zhou You descended from the other side, bravely facing the oncoming fire with a laser gun in hand.
Two guns fired simultaneously. With his impeccable aim, enemies fell instantly. The bullets aimed at him were intercepted by his inner force.
Zheng Xiao noticed that the enemy's shots were deadly precise. After a brief exchange, he recognized their superior skills and urgently ordered, "Put on your helmets and take cover!"
After Zhou You eliminated a few, he noticed the enemies were hiding. Little did they know that his mental prowess was just as impressive – hiding was futile.
Shao Qi casually followed Zhou You, looking as if he were on a leisurely stroll. He even critiqued Zhou You’s tactics, "If I led these soldiers, I'd discipline anyone being this reckless!"
"Watch yourself!" Zhou You wasn't concerned about Shao Qi getting caught in the crossfire. After all, Shao Qi was just a driver he picked up along the way, now just a spectator to the chaos.
"Damn it, who are these two men? When did we ever cross paths with such formidable opponents?"
"Bullets can't even get near them. What kind of martial art is this? Even the top fighter from Yangcheng base can't do this, can they?"
They initially assumed their numbers would give them an advantage against two individuals. They couldn't have been more wrong.
Zheng Xiao quickly assessed the power disparity. While commanding his troops to attack from multiple angles, he discreetly approached an intact armored vehicle. If he hid underneath, masked by the snow, they'd never detect him.
Chapter 083: The Unpredictability of Human Nature.
As Zheng Xiao neared the armored vehicle, he changed his plan. Instead of hiding underneath, he got in, reversed, and then turned, finding an optimal angle to launch missiles from the vehicle.
A missile was fired towards Zhou You. A triumphant grin appeared on Zheng Xiao's face, "Let’s see how you fend this off!"
The destructive power of a missile was incomparable to bullets. While Zhou You's energy shield wasn't invincible, deflecting the missile's trajectory was a cinch.
Everyone watched in horror as the missile changed direction mid-flight, targeting the densest cluster of their own troops. An explosion sent bodies flying, turning the white snow into a morbid red.
"Noooo!" Outraged, Zheng Xiao, inside the armored vehicle, drove directly at Zhou You.
"Bastard! I'll end you!" Yelling furiously, Zheng Xiao floored the accelerator. Snow was sent flying as the vehicle charged. He was adamant that Zhou You couldn't possibly take on an armored vehicle.
Zhou You turned to Shao Qi, asking, "How strong do you think I am in terms of weight?"
Shao Qi provided an estimate: "Between 30,000 and 50,000 jin (15-25 tons). What are you planning?"
Zhou You clenched his fist, smiled, and said, "I'm curious whether my fist is stronger or the armor of this vehicle."
Shao Qi moved to the side, drawing a large blade someone had dropped, telling Zhou You, "I'll handle their foot soldiers."
The armored vehicle might not be fast, but its momentum was immense. As it approached Zhou You, he leaped high to avoid the snow, then landed on top of the vehicle, striking its roof with his fist.
Made of thick alloy, the vehicle's exterior was resistant even to mutated creatures. Yet, Zhou You's punch created a hole as if it were made of paper. Cold air rushed in, alarming Zheng Xiao, who swerved desperately trying to throw Zhou You off.
However, Zhou You began cutting through the hole with a dagger, the sensation of a blade hovering above one's head was chilling. Despite having quicker means to eliminate Zheng Xiao, Zhou You refrained.
A large section of the armored vehicle's roof had been cut away. Zhou You jumped in, just as Zheng Xiao had abandoned the vehicle. Zhou You calmly took the driver's seat and smirked, "Now it's my turn."
Though inexperienced, all he needed was to press the gas and steer. The vehicle hissed as it slid on the snowy ground, charging straight at Zheng Xiao.
Zheng Xiao hadn't gotten far when he heard the sound. It filled him with dread. He was all too familiar with that noise. Countless individuals and animals had perished under his vehicle in the past, and now it seemed it was his turn.
On the other side, Shao Qi swiftly dealt with the remaining threats, leaving only a young-looking teenager. He dragged him over, just as the vehicle's tires rolled over Zheng Xiao's legs.
A piercing scream echoed. Zhou You jumped out of the vehicle, slowly approaching Zheng Xiao. His handsome face looked even more terrifying than a demon's. Zheng Xiao shrieked, "Please, spare me! I was wrong, I won't do it again..."
Zhou You paused, gazing down at the pitiful figure, asking, "Did you ever consider giving your victims a chance to plead for their lives?"
"I was wrong..."
"So, a mere 'I was wrong' compensates for a life taken?" Zhou You noticed the terrified young boy Shao Qi brought over. "It wasn't me! It's my first mission. My knife hasn't even drawn blood yet."
Zhou You pressed, "Tell me, how did you all betray others at the Jiangnan base supply station?"
