The opponent clenched both fists, using them to block the flying daggers. He had done the same against weapons from others. His fists were harder than any blade, as evidenced by the broken swords and daggers scattered about.

Zhou You saw six of his daggers quickly knocked down. He retracted the remaining six, only to find the opponent's fist inches from his face. Leaning back, he powered from his waist and delivered a kick. Spinning, he clamped the creature's head between his legs and with a twist, threw the towering creature to the ground.

The opponent struggled to break free, stomped the ground, and lunged at Zhou You. Zhou dodged, and the creature crashed into a wall, toppling it as it already seemed on the verge of collapse.

"Shao Qi!" Zhou You shouted, leading the hairy beast away. Continuing this fight might bring the building down.

Shao Qi also turned to run. The two creatures pursued at an astonishing speed, chasing them until they reached the main square outside the city lord's mansion.

Zhou You halted, turned, and delivered a back kick right into the hairy monster's chest. He leapt up, landing successive kicks, knocking the creature down. Drawing his dagger, he stabbed towards its heart, but only managed to scratch the surface.

"Such tough flesh!" As Zhou You dodged the creature's punch, he caught a glimpse of Shao Qi wielding a long blade with a dulled edge, wondering where he had found it.

Shao Qi dodged the spewed venom, shaking his head. "Incredible. They've transformed a man into this. Stripped of memory and reason, they're almost perfect."

Zhou You remarked, "If only they obeyed orders. Who wouldn't want such obedient humanoid weapons?"

"Do you have a plan? Their flesh is too tough; regular weapons won't harm them."

Zhou You sheathed his dagger, stretching and cracking his joints. Coldly, he said, "We'll go head-on, see whose fists are tougher."

This was the first time he was giving his all in a fight. He always wanted to spar with Shao Qi, but Shao Qi would decline, citing unhealed injuries. Now, he wondered if Shao Qi would fully commit when facing such formidable foes.

Zhou You engaged the hairy creature while keeping an eye on Shao Qi. His hands glowed, and with a single slap, he could create a pit in the ground. The creature, despite its robust physique, was clumsy in its attacks. Zhou You outpaced it, pushing it back step by step until he broke several of its bones.

"They don't feel pain," Zhou You observed.

"Then we need to find a lethal spot. I wonder if their hearts still beat."

Shao Qi struck the opponent's chest, feeling a heartbeat. With his right hand, he tried to tear out the heart to see if it was still human.

Avoiding a spit of venom, he examined the blood on his hand. It smelled different from human blood, but still fresh.

"Would've been nice to capture one for the research institute. Impressive work, but it's better if such things didn't exist."

"If I ever see another, I'll kill the expert responsible," Zhou You declared, releasing a surge of inner energy into the creature's meridians, noticing they were wider than those of a normal person.

He directed his energy towards the creature's heart and detonated it. Blood gushed from its mouth as it staggered, but it wasn't dead yet, just significantly slowed.

"So that's how," Shao Qi mimicked the move, leaving the creature writhing in agony.

A dagger appeared in Shao Qi's hand, and he sliced open the creature's throat, discovering a colorless liquid mixed with the blood, giving off a medicinal scent. The body had been treated with some special potion.

Once sure the creature was dead, Shao Qi stood up, seeing Zhou You deep in thought, examining the creature's hair.

"What are you thinking about?" Shao Qi asked, giving a kick to the now-deceased creature.

"Wondering if this hair color is natural. If we had this gene, would we ever need to dye our hair again?" Zhou You mused.

"...", Sha Qi commented, gazing at his deep black hair, "You look better with black hair. Considering your age, dyeing it blonde seems a bit immature."

Zhou You prodded the corpse's skin. It felt unlike human skin, more like tough leather. Curious about its origin, he stood and asked, "What's the next step?"

"We've captured the criminals, found the lab, and dealt with the monsters. What remains is settling the score," Sha Qi said with a cold, dark tone.

All the injured from the City Lord's mansion were sent to the same hospital. News of the morning's incident spread throughout the city like wildfire. Some even captured partial footage, unsettling enough to send shivers down one's spine.

"Such terrifying creatures managed to escape from the lab! I've heard there are ones similar to zombies that eat humans!"

"These madmen!"

"The press conference couldn’t proceed smoothly. I don’t know the status of those two monsters now, but I saw many people being taken to the hospital."

"Don't worry. Mr. Zhou and Mr. Sha are on it. With them around, they'll surely handle those two creatures."
