Fifth World: He’s the protagonist’s 2D waifu/husbando, who wakes up as someone the protagonist loathes.

Lazing around like a background character, he’s exposed as the former virtual love interest.

System: “…Just make the protagonist hate you, per the original setting.”

Shi Chen, struggling under the protagonist’s weight: “Pretty sure they do hate me—they’re trying to crush me to death.”

Even after completing his missions, the system remains baffled by his “unintentional yet inevitable” success.
