    Chapter 65: Bedside Quarrel

Haino took the baby out to play, leaving Xiao Sa and Landis alone in the room.

The two men sat in an uncomfortable silence, as if the air around them had turned cold and heavy.

Before Xiao Sa could think of an excuse, Landis snapped the screen of his optical brain shut, crossed his legs, and leaned forward, his icy blue eyes locking onto Xiao Sa.

"What did you mean by 'you said I definitely wouldn't come looking for you'?" Landis asked coolly. "You've been here all along. Did you deliberately block the signal to stop me from contacting you?"

Xiao Sa immediately retorted, "At that time, I was still recovering from my secondary differentiation, a process that left me in a coma. I went to my clan's gathering area and only returned when the border was reopened."

In an argument, it's important to take the initiative.

Before Landis could ask another question, Xiao Sa continued, "And for the past half year, you didn't come looking for me. I was wanted and couldn't return to the empire. Couldn't you have come to me?"

Landis sneered, his resentment over having the baby alone bubbling to the surface. "I was pregnant and couldn't leave Central Star."

Mentioning this filled Landis with anger, and he finally had a chance to vent his frustration. "You lied to me about being infertile! You clearly could have gotten me pregnant. And when you knew Little Star was your child, you still looked so reluctant. You didn't want him, did you?"

Xiao Sa felt like it was snowing in June. "How could you say I didn't want him? We're not even the same species. I didn't know you could get pregnant, and I had no idea Little Star was my child."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Xiao Sa wished he could take them back.

    Damn, he'd said too much.

Landis's eyes darkened. He stood up from the sofa, his eyes narrowing as he stared intently at Xiao Sa, exuding an extremely dangerous aura. "That day, you asked me if Little Star was my biological child. How could you not know?"

It finally clicked for Landis, who widened his eyes in shock and anger. "You actually suspected that Little Star wasn't yours?! You ran away, leaving a divorce agreement as a parting gift?"

Landis was livid. After giving birth alone, he couldn't believe Xiao Sa had the audacity to suspect him of cheating. He felt like he was about to explode with rage.

Xiao Sa couldn't find an excuse to defend himself this time.

Seeing Xiao Sa speechless, Landis pressed his advantage. "And you've hidden so many things from me. Even Broken Peak, a wanted criminal, is your subordinate. He knows about you, but I don't."

"I believed everything you said, but you never trusted me. How could I have cheated on you when you're the only one for me?"

Xiao Sa's mind raced, and he seized on Landis's logic. "I never doubted your loyalty. Why would you think my brother was a rival? You're the one who suspected me of having another lover."

Now it was Landis's turn to be at a loss.

Seizing the opportunity, Xiao Sa said, "I used Broken Peak because I needed his help to find my kin. I've told you my biggest secret. How could I not trust you?"

Landis paused, looking at the other with an unreadable expression for a long time before finding his rhythm again. "How do you explain the divorce agreement? If I hadn't shown up at the palace, you would have left. Was that big box of inhibitors your parting gift?"

Xiao Sa replied, "That was just a contingency plan in case the plan failed. I was going to deal with the agreement, but who knew the royal family had hidden mech beasts, advanced combat machines, and I couldn't have predicted you'd return so suddenly."

Seeing Landis staring at him without speaking, Xiao Sa continued, "Why would you suspect me and my brother? I was about to introduce you to him."

Landis sneered. "Who let you two hug so intimately? He cried, and you wiped his tears. You even laughed and chatted while walking in the garden. I saw it with my own eyes. Of course, I got angry."

Xiao Sa explained, "My brother has a special physique. Your jealousy is unfounded. How can you say you trust me when you're like this? We're a 100% match. How could there be someone else?"

Mentioning this 100% match made Landis even more furious. He took a step forward, pressing Xiao Sa's shoulders and pushing him onto the bed. "A 100% match? Yet you're also a 100% match with the third prince."

"Your constitution is so special that you even have two mental entities, who knows how many others you could be perfectly compatible with?"

Landis was getting more and more irrational, his temper flaring. Xiao Sa was equally exasperated but amused: "Our clan doesn’t put much stock in that kind of thing. Even if it’s a hundred percent, so what?"

"There’s no way I could be with someone else, so why are you even bringing this up?"

After being apart for months, they were both brimming with resentment and jealousy, and they argued over everything and nothing.

By the time they finished arguing, they were both panting.

Xiao Sa let out an exasperated 'tsk' and said, "Landis, at the end of the day, you’re just doubting whether I love you. And what about the fact that you were stripped of your position and held under house arrest by the royal family? Why didn’t you tell me? And why did you say everything was fine?"

He was also full of doubts about Little Star. Was Landis now an omega? That would explain a lot. And why had Little Star grown so much in such a short time?

Landis said viciously, "Who gave you the nerve to leave me a divorce agreement? If you ever try to leave me again, just try. If you do, I’ll break your legs and keep you locked up!"

Then his eyes shifted down to below Xiao Sa's waist, and he sneered, "I’ll break the two on the sides, but I’ll spare the one in the middle for now."

Xiao Sa laughed in disbelief. "Landis, are you trying to rebel?"

Landis firmly grabbed Xiao Sa's struggling hands. Xiao Sa was still in a weakened state these days, which was one of the few times he could have the upper hand.

Landis lowered his head and bit Xiao Sa's lip hard.

Xiao Sa hissed as his lip was bitten again.

Landis undid his military jacket and tossed it aside, then yanked off his tie and used it to bind one of Xiao Sa's wrists to the bedpost.

"What the hell are you doing, Landis?" Xiao Sa immediately tried to get up.

Lantis climbed up, unbuttoning his shirt one by one. He didn't look particularly muscular in his military uniform, rather slim and tall. Once he took off his shirt, revealing his chest and abdomen, the fine and resilient muscle lines became evident.

He propped himself up on the bed with both arms, taking one of Xiao Sa's ears into his mouth. His warm, moist tongue circled it, and as expected, he heard Xiao Sa gasp suddenly.

Lantis chuckled deeply by his ear, "I raised the little star alone in the Central Star, and you didn't fulfill your marital duties. Shouldn't I get some interest now?"

Hearing this, Xiao Sa stiffened for a moment, unable to refute, and immediately stopped moving.

Lantis didn't hesitate to pull open his hospital gown, first touching his back.

The scorched and pitted wounds, after being immersed in the healing pod, had now regained their smoothness, though deep and shallow marks still remained, standing out prominently on his originally fair skin.

Lantis frowned, leaning down to kiss his shoulder blade, trailing kisses down his spine.

Xiao Sa's back was in the process of regenerating skin, making it extremely sensitive. His entire back muscles tensed up, wanting to turn over. "Don't kiss there, it's ticklish."

Lantis held his nape, sucking on his lips, and the kisses quickly turned sticky and lingering.

    Not enough, far from enough...

They hadn't been intimate for over half a year, and his body, after giving birth, had become especially sensitive and empty. Lantis opened his eyes, the icy blue gradually turning to a dark red filled with insatiable desire.

He breathed lightly, his fingers threading through Xiao Sa's hair, his gaze caressing the other's face as if it were tangible, finally settling on the deep, dark pupils.

"Why did your hair and eyes turn black?" Lantis's voice was hoarse, his dry lips rubbing against the other's eyelids.

"Hmm... It's a side effect of secondary differentiation. My hair grew too long, so I cut it off..."

Xiao Sa used his other free hand to caress Lantis's golden hair, sliding along his sharply defined cheek to his chin, then touching his vulnerable throat, clearly feeling Lantis's strong pulse and the constantly moving Adam's apple.

Lantis clicked his tongue in regret and, as if in punishment, nipped at the tip of his nose gently. "I haven't seen yet."

Without waiting for Xiaosa's response, Lantis ceased the overly tender caresses by his ear, which did nothing to soothe the agitation and heat but only made it more unbearable.

    "Who saw you, hmm?"

Xiaosa let out a breathy laugh. "Eating jealous over such nonsense will only make you sour... Mm—"

Lantis kissed him fiercely, more like a wild beast tearing at its prey than a kiss, the corner of Xiaosa's mouth breaking and seeping a touch of blood, quickly licked away by an equally crimson tongue.

His rough and domineering actions soon aroused Xiaosa's competitive spirit.

The last remnants of air in their mouths were repeatedly plundered, hot breath igniting the confined space around them.

The two men, like ravenous beasts fighting over a feast, neither willing to yield to the other.

Xiaosa's fingers slid over his collarbone and pressed against the heaving chest, the bones turning white from the force, unsure whether to push away or hold on.

Lantis' scorching palms caressed his neck and back continuously, their hot breaths intertwining, the wet tip of his tongue pressing against Xiaosa's earlobe, forcefully entering and predictably eliciting a muffled groan from him.

Lantis suppressed a chuckle. "Xiaosa, I didn't know your ears were so sensitive."

Xiaosa narrowed his eyes and chuckled, his fingers tightening, not willing to be outdone.

Lantis' firm, broad chest muscles formed distinct arcs, almost creating a deep crevice, sweat trickling down his neck and dripping onto Xiaosa's abs.

A few broken, hoarse syllables escaped from deep within Lantis' throat, mumbling words that Xiaosa couldn't quite catch.

    "What did you say?"

Lantis stared at him with a heavy gaze, subconsciously licking his dry lips as his broad chest rose, almost pressing into Xiaosa's face.

    "Swelling..."

Xiaosa’s eyes slid down, only then noticing that after more than half a year, Lantis’s skin seemed even more lustrous, easily leaving fingerprints.

The three deep claw marks near his heart on the left side of his chest had faded to light pink scars, mingling with the marks left by Xiaosa, giving off a sense of wild shyness.

Especially when there was a bit of moisture glistening on them, the visual impact became even more intense.

Xiaosa’s keen sense of smell was completely enveloped by the scent of cedar and milk from Lantis. He raised an eyebrow, meeting Lantis’s fiery gaze as he looked down at him.

Neither spoke, but the intense undercurrents were already burning in their surging blood. Xiaosa’s dark pupils narrowed, and he wrapped one arm around Lantis’s waist, pressing tightly against him.

Lantis drew a sharp breath, holding Xiaosa’s head and pressing it firmly to his chest. He couldn’t help but tilt his neck, his exposed throat trembling slightly, as if held by invisible fangs, presenting a helpless, sacrificial posture.

The sound of wet kisses echoed in his ear. He leaned down to kiss the top of Xiaosa’s head, the passionate feeling surging like a tide.

"Lantis..." A thin silver thread formed at the corner of Xiaosa’s mouth, which he licked away with his tongue.

Lantis looked down at him, his eyes darkening. He suddenly pressed him forcefully into the pillow, kissing his lips and neck intensely and urgently. His moist tongue repeatedly licked the red skin on the side of his neck, eliciting more pheromones.

The rich aroma of tequila was fully released, Lantis’s face flushed as if drunk, deeply inhaling his scent, his eyes darkening to a deep red.

"There won’t be a next time, Xiaosa..." His voice was like fire, pouring out his love and desire in the passionate kiss, "Don’t leave me again..."

Xiaosa was kissed for a long time, finally unable to bear it, trying to turn over but held down firmly by the other.

Xiaosa’s fingers dug into his hair, pulling him back forcefully, his voice equally hoarse: "Lantis, taking advantage of someone will get you bedridden for three days!"

Lantis straightened slightly, breathing lightly, his chest, marked with large patches of ambiguity, rising and falling gently.

He raised his hand to wipe away a trace of moisture from the corner of his lips, his eyes revealing a hint of excitement as he looked down at Xiao Sa, chuckling softly, "Oh? Is that so? I’m waiting for you in bed."

"Hah!" Lantis’s provocation ignited something in Xiao Sa, a thread snapping in his mind.

He gripped Lantis’s nape with one hand, Lantis sitting on him, both gritting their teeth and struggling, almost coming to blows on the hospital bed.

The pole restraining Xiao Sa’s wrist groaned under the strain, creaking incessantly.

Lantis, accustomed to being dominated by Xiao Sa, relished this rare upper hand, his movements growing more aggressive, even causing some soreness in his own waist muscles, which was quickly replaced by an even greater thrill.

His reddened eyes locked onto Xiao Sa’s, watching until he saw the pleasure in the other’s expression, then leaned forward to brush back the hair from his forehead, repeatedly kissing the lips tinged with a hint of blood: "Do you like it, darling?"

Xiao Sa exhaled heavily, staring up into Lantis’s eyes, his brows lowered, the muscles in his arms bulging as he clenched his fists and exerted force, the sound of the tie breaking with a snap.

He chuckled coldly, "Lantis, you forgot that I’m injured in my back, not my waist. You’re finished, right now!"
