    Chapter 15

Qin Mingchuan had been aimlessly walking along the stream.

But the sudden noise ahead only added to his irritation.

    He glanced towards the commotion.

At first glance, he didn’t spot the source of the noise, but his eyes landed on a strikingly familiar figure.

At first, Qin Mingchuan thought the person merely resembled Su Xingyao.

But as he drew closer, almost without thinking, he realized it was indeed Su Xingyao.

In that instant, an overwhelming joy flooded Qin Mingchuan’s senses.

Just moments before, he had been regretting his failure to keep the promise he made to Su Xingyao six years earlier.

Yet, he never imagined that on this familiar April night, under a meteor shower, he would run into Su Xingyao like this.

A whirlwind of emotions surged within him, but they all melted into the tenderness in Qin Mingchuan’s eyes.

He stood beside Su Xingyao, silently gazing at his face.

It had been ages since their last encounter in the hospital.

But he noticed that Su Xingyao looked much healthier than he had back then.

Qin Mingchuan had expected Su Xingyao to look worn out after all the recent hardships.

But seeing Su Xingyao sleeping peacefully, he realized that Su Xingyao had been doing just fine on his own.

The warm glow of the night lamp bathed Su Xingyao’s face, and as the mountain breeze stirred the leaves, his long lashes fluttered, casting delicate shadows on his skin.

The chill wind sobered Qin Mingchuan slightly. Seeing Su Xingyao lying there, he quickly removed his coat, worried he might catch a chill, and moved to drape it over him.

But in the few seconds it took to shed his coat, a figure stepped into his path.

The newcomer’s tall frame cast a shadow over the sleeping Su Xingyao.

Lu Jiuxu approached Su Xingyao, bent down, and gently draped the blanket over him.

A step behind, Qin Mingchuan awkwardly held his coat mid-air, his grip tightening.

His eyes landed on the blanket, its sudden appearance striking him as glaringly out of place.

A surge of resentment welled up inside him, and Qin Mingchuan, in a fit of defiance, wanted to swap it out.

So he stepped closer to Su Xingyao, intent on covering him with his own coat.

But he was barred from getting any closer.

The man stood like a wall between them, cutting Qin Mingchuan off from Su Xingyao.

Qin Mingchuan raised his eyes and locked gazes with the man.

In the man’s icy stare, he recognized him.

It was the same man who had carried Su Xingyao away from the hospital that last time.

The unpleasant memory of the other party forcibly taking someone away with bodyguards in the hospital room resurfaced.

The thought that the other party had deliberately blocked him again made Qin Mingchuan's anger surge.

"Excuse me, could you move aside?"

Though extremely displeased, Qin Mingchuan still spoke politely.

But the indifferent man seemed not to hear his words at all, standing still like an ice sculpture, showing no intention of moving an inch.

Qin Mingchuan's patience wore thin due to the other party's provocative actions.

Not wanting to argue further, he decided to go around the man.

But Lu Jiuxu still did not let him have his way.

With a cold glance at Qin Mingchuan, Lu Jiuxu grabbed his arm and spoke casually.

"Sir, you might be a bit tipsy."

The other man's attitude made Qin Mingchuan uneasy.

Since taking over the family business, everyone who met him respectfully addressed him as Mr. Qin.

But the man before him, though around the same age, radiated an aura that seemed leagues above his own.

Qin Mingchuan, blocked once more, didn't back down. Instead, he was unusually provoked into wanting to take Su Xingyao away.

He looked up to meet the other man's gaze.

In the night breeze, one man was cold and gloomy, the other's gaze icy.

Qin Mingchuan and Lu Jiuxu found themselves in a strange, delicate balance amidst the tension.

Neither spoke another word, but neither was willing to back down an inch.

After what felt like an eternity, Lu Zhiyun's laughter from nearby finally shattered the silence.

Amidst the noise, Lu Jiuxu instinctively looked back at Su Xingyao.

Seizing the moment, Qin Mingchuan spoke up again.

"I'm Qin Mingchuan, Su Xingyao's fiancé. He's not comfortable here. Please move aside so I can take him home to rest."

As if deliberately trying to assert dominance, Qin Mingchuan stressed his role as the fiancé before asking Lu Jiuxu.

"Are you a friend of his?"

When he said "fiancé," there was a faint trace of pride in Qin Mingchuan's voice.

But he was soon startled by this sudden realization.

He had once despised the term "fiancé," even harboring resentment toward Su Xingyao for years over this engagement he never consented to...

But he never imagined there would come a day.

When he would have to use this identity to assert the unique bond between him and Su Xingyao to the man standing in his way.

The man's imposing presence left Qin Mingchuan feeling defiant.

He brought up his identity as a fiancé just to deliberately gain the upper hand over the other party.

With this thought, he instinctively glanced at Lu Jiuxu.

Only he knew that, despite his calm exterior, the sense of losing control had already begun to scare him.

He feared that one day, he might not even be able to maintain his relationship with Su Xingyao under the identity he once loathed.

The mere thought of this possibility was too hard to accept, so Qin Mingchuan deliberately pushed it aside.

He shifted his attention to Lu Jiuxu, carefully observing Lu Jiuxu's expression, hoping to see a subtle change upon learning his identity.

But the result left him disappointed.

Lu Jiuxu's face remained cold and indifferent, showing no hint of emotion whatsoever.

"This is his own choice. No one can decide for him."

Lu Jiuxu didn’t answer the question about his relationship with Su Xingyao, but his voice was icy, as if frozen for a thousand years.

He warned Qin Mingchuan, "No identity gives you that right."

Not even as a fiancé could you make decisions for Su Xingyao.

Qin Mingchuan, subtly mocked by Lu Jiuxu for bringing up the fiancé matter, was instantly rendered speechless.

As the two spoke, Su Xingyao faintly heard some voices.

His eyes fluttered open slightly, and he hazily made out two figures.

Still half-asleep, he only recognized the back of Lu Jiuxu, who stood closest to him.

"Mr. Lu..." he murmured softly, his arm shifting slightly and causing the blanket on his shoulder to slip.

The tension between the two men suddenly dissipated at that moment.

Qin Mingchuan turned his gaze to Su Xingyao.

    "Xing Yao."

"Hmm, I’m here. It’s still early—go back to sleep."

Qin Mingchuan’s call for Xing Yao was overshadowed by Lu Jiuxu’s gentle, soothing tone.

As a result, Su Xingyao only had eyes for Lu Jiuxu.

After hearing Lu Jiuxu’s words, he murmured "Okay" and drifted back to sleep.

Lu Jiuxu said nothing more, only gently pulling the slipped blanket back over Su Xingyao.

Qin Mingchuan, ignored the entire time, stood there watching silently.

His phone buzzed suddenly in his bag.

Qin Mingchuan glanced at the peacefully sleeping Su Xingyao and finally turned to leave.

Su Xingyao drifted into a dream.

    *

The friend who had not appeared in his dreams for a long time finally quietly slipped back into his dream.

In the dream, he returned to the cramped and suffocating room of his adoptive parents.

It was late at night, and outside the window was pitch black.

But this time, he was not afraid of the darkness at all. Instead, he mustered the courage to open the door.

Because when he opened the door, he found his friend waiting for him right outside.

The friend took his hand and led him up to the roof.

"There’s going to be a meteor shower tonight~"

    "But I’m so tired..."

"It's okay, you can sleep. I’ll keep an eye out, and I’ll wake you up when the meteors come."

In the dream, he rubbed his eyes and, unable to resist the drowsiness, quietly rested his head on the friend’s shoulder and fell asleep.

Then, after what felt like forever, the friend gently patted his shoulder again.

"Yue Shuang, the meteors are coming."

    Yue Shuang.

    The meteors are coming.

When the first meteor streaked across the sky, Lu Jiuxu quickly tapped Su Xingyao's shoulder.

    "Su Xingyao," he said softly.

    "The meteors are coming."

The voice of the friend in the dream suddenly shifted to Lu Jiuxu’s voice.

The friend's previously blurry face also suddenly blended into Lu Jiuxu’s.

Su Xingyao groggily opened his eyes and gazed drowsily at Lu Jiuxu.

For a moment, he couldn’t tell if the words came from the friend in his dream or from Lu Jiuxu.

Seeing that Su Xingyao hadn't fully regained his senses, Lu Jiuxu gently nudged him, "If you don't look up soon, the meteor shower will be over."

Hearing this, Su Xingyao snapped out of it and hurriedly looked up at the sky.

The moment he raised his head, countless meteors streaked across.

The dark night sky was illuminated by the dancing lights.

The swiftly passing meteors each carved a brilliant path, leaving behind a dazzling display of colors, like brilliant fireworks blooming in the vast galaxy.

Su Xingyao looked up at this scene, lost in the awe-inspiring sight.

However, this meteor shower was over in a flash.

After watching the last meteor fall, it suddenly hit him.

"I forgot to make a wish..." he murmured, disappointed.

He didn't know if everyone who saw a meteor shower for the first time felt the same way he did, only looking up to admire the fleeting and beautiful light, completely forgetting everything else.

Realizing he'd forgotten something so important, Su Xingyao felt a little let down.

He turned his head and asked Lu Jiuxu beside him, "Did you make a wish earlier?"

Lu Jiuxu hesitated for a moment before answering.

    "Not exactly."

Still caught up in the regret of not making a wish, Su Xingyao didn't notice the uncertainty in Lu Jiuxu's tone.

Thinking that the other person was the same as him, he sighed, "Man, how did we both forget?"

Lu Jiuxu glanced down and noticed the disappointment on Su Xingyao's face.

After a pause, his deep voice broke the silence again.

"We can always make wishes next time."

As Lu Jiuxu spoke, Lu Zhiyun and the others came over, chattering noisily to join them.

Having played cards all night until past four in the morning, even though young people have plenty of energy, they were now yawning non-stop.

After a quick wash, they each headed to their tents.

Su Xingyao stared at his tent, hesitating and rooted to the spot, with no intention of going in.

He'd never been camping before, so he had no idea that sleeping inside would make him feel uneasy.

Remembering how he felt earlier when he was alone inside, he finally decided to wait until everyone was asleep and then use the excuse that he'd already slept and was awake to stay outside playing on his phone until dawn.

Just as he made up his mind, Su Xingyao looked up and saw Lu Jiuxu pulling a sleeping bag out of his tent.

The other person walked up to him and asked in a low voice, "There's something wrong with my tent, I probably can't sleep in it. Mind if I crash with you?"

Su Xingyao looked at him in surprise.

Before he could respond, Lu Zhiyun, who happened to be passing by while yawning, looked at his brother in confusion.

"Huh? Your tent's messed up too, bro? Didn't you check it before we left??"

After saying this in great shock, Lu Zhiyun immediately showed his thoughtfulness as a younger brother.

"Heh, bro, why don't you bunk with me... I don't care."

Just as Lu Zhiyun thought he was being thoughtful, he immediately caught his brother's somewhat inscrutable look in the dark.

He didn't get what was up with Lu Jiuxu, but the look nearly jolted him awake.

Realizing he'd just blabbered nonsense, Lu Zhiyun bolted into his tent and zipped it up, leaving only his eyes peeking out.

"Ahhh... I snore, grind my teeth, and talk in my sleep at night, bro, you'd better bunk with Xingyao."

Su Xingyao glanced at Lu Zhiyun, who'd bolted like a rabbit, and then at Lu Jiuxu standing before him.

He completely misinterpreted Lu Zhiyun's meaning, thinking that everyone was too intimidated by Lu Jiuxu to share a tent with him.

Feeling a bit sorry for Lu Jiuxu who was left alone, Su Xingyao nodded at him.

He was afraid of the dark in enclosed spaces when alone, but he could overcome it if there were others present.

After everyone else had gone into their tents to sleep, Su Xingyao and Lu Jiuxu also walked towards the tent at the very end.

Halfway there, Lu Jiuxu suddenly turned around.

Su Xingyao waited for him and saw that he went under the canopy to retrieve a small star-shaped night light hanging nearby.

He then carried the small night light all the way to the tent and placed it in a corner.

The night light looked like a star shining brightly in the sky.

Though the light was dim, it was enough to dispel the darkness inside the tent.

Looking at this warm glow, Su Xingyao thought Lu Jiuxu was very thoughtful.

Why hadn’t he thought to bring one over earlier?

After setting up the sleeping bag, Su Xingyao lay down.

He wasn’t much of a talker, and neither was Lu Jiuxu.

After both of them quietly lay down in their respective spots, Su Xingyao closed his eyes.

It was his first time sharing a tent with someone.

At first, he felt a bit uneasy and even worried that he might not be able to fall asleep.

But actually, he fell asleep again very quickly.

The warm glow of the night light and the presence of the person beside him inexplicably made him feel calm.

Even in his sleep, everything in the pitch-black dream was serene.

Hearing the steady breathing of the person beside him, Lu Jiuxu, under the faint glow of the night light, turned his gaze to Su Xingyao’s face.

He once knew a kid who loved to cry.

That child, like Su Xingyao, had allergies and was afraid of the dark.

When alone, he also didn’t dare to sleep in a confined, dark space.

    *

The next morning, Su Xingyao finally woke up on his own.

When he woke up, Lu Jiuxu had already gotten up ahead of him.

After successfully watching the meteor shower the night before, everyone was satisfied.

When most of the group had gotten up, they packed their things and went home.

With Su Xingyao around today, Lu Zhiyun shamelessly followed him back to the villa and refused to leave.

As soon as Su Xingyao stepped out of the car, Sunset and Coral rushed to his side.

Even the usually aloof Coral was unusually affectionate, rubbing against Su Xingyao in different ways and meowing.

Lu Zhiyun squatted down and pinched Coral’s ear with his fingers, “Why don’t you show me some affection, you little ungrateful thing?”

Shanhu narrowed its eyes, tilted its head, and immediately escaped from Lu Zhiyun's clutches.

Before running away, it deliberately swiped his hand with its tail, taunting him.

Lu Zhiyun didn’t mind being ignored by the cat; instead, he chased after the cat and dog to win them over.

A few minutes later, having successfully soothed the little animals, he returned with Luori, the dog, in one arm and Shanhu, the cat, in the other.

Seeing that both his hands were occupied, Su Xingyao teased him, "Good thing we only have one cat and one dog at home."

Lu Zhiyun’s big, round eyes widened like a deer’s, "Why?"

"Otherwise, you’d be out of hands."

Lu Zhiyun chuckled, sounding a little smug, "Actually, I also have a duck."

    He added, "It’s a Psyduck-like duck."

As he spoke, Lu Zhiyun wanted to show Su Xingyao a photo of the duck, but with his hands full, he eventually gave up.

Looking at the cat and dog in his hands and thinking of the duck at home, Lu Zhiyun let out a wistful sigh, "I’d love to take them all out for a walk~ Too bad I can’t carry them all."

After hearing Lu Zhiyun's wish, an idea suddenly popped into Su Xingyao’s mind.

He glanced at the cat and dog in Lu Zhiyun's hands, "Maybe... I can help you build an animal bus."

    "Wait, what??"

    "What’s an animal bus??"

    Lu Zhiyun looked curious.

To help him understand, Su Xingyao quickly took out a piece of paper and drew a quick sketch for him.

He sketched a small train-like carriage with sections for the animals, arranging the three animals in order.

Once Lu Zhiyun got it, his face lit up with excitement.

    "Can we really make this?"

Su Xingyao, while writing down the materials needed beside him, answered confidently, "Yes."

Hearing the confirmation, Lu Zhiyun’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he looked at Su Xingyao.

After Su Xingyao told him what to prepare, Lu Zhiyun immediately dashed off to buy the materials.

The weather was mild today, with the sun shining softly, so the two moved the materials to the large grassy area behind the villa to start making the animal bus.

Su Xingyao grabbed a pencil and started marking the wooden boards, then used different tools to cut the boards into various shapes.

Lu Zhiyun wanted to help at one point, but after failing several times to cut the boards himself, he realized he was completely useless.

Realizing he couldn’t help at all, he simply held Shanhu and sat on the grass with Luori, cheering Su Xingyao on in his mind.

After a while, Su Xingyao’s forehead was glistening with sweat.

He stood up to wipe it with a tissue, but saw a bottle of chilled mineral water appear in front of him.

Lu Jiuxu handed the water to Su Xingyao, then took over the hammer and nails he had put down.

After glancing at Su Xingyao's design beside him, Lu Jiuxu continued with the unfinished process from earlier.

Seeing this, Lu Zhiyun immediately grew tense and tried to stop him.

"Bro, this might look easy, but it’s actually pretty tricky. Don’t..."

Facing the brother he feared most, his voice instantly softened.

    "Bro, don’t make things worse..."

Lu Jiuxu didn’t look up, his hands steadily securing the wooden board.

After a moment, he finally spoke.

"Do you think everyone’s as clueless as you?"

Seeing his brother’s flawless moves, Lu Zhiyun quietly shut his mouth.

His brother was pretty awesome too.

Turns out, he was the only one who was useless.

Thanks to Lu Jiuxu’s help, work on the animal bus moved much faster.

Lu Jiuxu and Lu Zhiyun spent nearly four hours finally completing the four carriages and installing the wheels.

In case Lu Zhiyun got more pets, Su Xingyao added an extra carriage.

Once the animal bus, which looked like a small train, was done, Lu Zhiyun eagerly put Sunset and Coral inside and started pulling it from the front.

Sunset and Coral lay on the bus, poking their heads out, staring at Lu Zhiyun, who was laughing like an idiot up front.

The animal bus was done, but it was still unpainted.

Unhappy with how it looked, Su Xingyao reminded Lu Zhiyun, "We still need to paint it."

Lu Zhiyun kept going, jogging backward and waving, "I’ll take a quick lap, hold on."

Seeing Lu Zhiyun having fun, Su Xingyao went to get the paint, sorting it into the paint palette.

After visualizing a rough design, he sat down, ready to paint a train engine on the bus.

But as soon as he started, Sunset, who’d jumped off the bus, didn’t stop in time and knocked over the palette.

Su Xingyao, who was closest, ended up with his white shirt and hands covered in splashes of paint.

Su Xingyao didn’t yell at the dog and stood up, trying to clean the paint off his hands.

Just then, his phone, lying nearby, rang.

With his hands full of paint, Su Xingyao at first didn’t want to answer.

But he recalled Xiao Li’s earlier message about the program crew possibly calling that afternoon to discuss the contract.

Seeing the unknown number, he glanced at Lu Jiuxu next to him.

"Mr. Lu, could you answer the phone for me? Just put it on speaker, please."

The closest water was over twenty meters away, and with no tissues to wipe his hands, Su Xingyao, covered in paint, had no choice but to ask Lu Jiuxu for help.

Just as Lu Jiuxu was about to hand Su Xingyao a tissue, he stopped and immediately picked up the phone from the grass, pressing the answer button on his behalf.

As soon as the speakerphone clicked on, Su Xingyao softly said, "Hello."

On the other end of the line, Qin Mingchuan was momentarily dazed when he clearly heard Su Xingyao's voice.

He hadn't slept all night, too preoccupied with reminiscing about every little moment he shared with Su Xingyao to even care about the meteor shower.

After wrestling with his thoughts all night, he realized that if he continued to ignore Su Xingyao as he had before, they might never cross paths again in this lifetime.

The idea of such an ending was too much for Qin Mingchuan to bear.

Especially when he thought of the man who kept appearing by Su Xingyao's side, his heart grew even more uneasy.

Qin Mingchuan didn't know what their relationship was, but he was terrified that something might develop between them.

He even wondered if Su Xingyao's decisive departure from everyone had something to do with that man.

Qin Mingchuan rashly and harshly blamed everything on this man who had suddenly appeared, without really grasping why he was so desperate to get Su Xingyao back now.

Because the mere thought of someone always being by Su Xingyao's side made him feel incredibly uneasy.

Last night's departure left him filled with regret.

So in the morning, he went back to look for Su Xingyao again, hoping to talk.

But he showed up at the wrong time; Su Xingyao and his group had already taken off.

After moping around all day, his reluctance got the better of him, and he couldn't resist calling Su Xingyao.

He figured that as long as they talked things out, everything would be okay.

If Su Xingyao was willing to come back, he could even let slide how Su Xingyao had once used their engagement to pressure him into sidelining Shen Huaixi.

Once he had wrapped his head around this, Qin Mingchuan immediately used his assistant's phone to dial Su Xingyao's number.

He had expected it to go unanswered, just like before.

But to his surprise, Su Xingyao's voice came through so clearly.

Everything happened so fast that Qin Mingchuan hadn't even figured out what he wanted to say next.

Noticing the silence on the other end, Su Xingyao thought his voice might have been too quiet, so he politely inquired again, "Hello, may I ask who is speaking?"

Noticing Su Xingyao tilting his head and staring intently at the phone, Lu Jiuxu lifted the phone a bit higher, holding it close to his cheek to make it easier for him to hear.

    Finally, Qin Mingchuan spoke.

    "Xing Yao, it's me."

The familiar voice coming through the receiver instantly changed Su Xingyao's expression.

He glanced at the paint on his hands, regretting why he hadn't washed them earlier.

Hearing this, Lu Jiuxu slightly lowered his eyes, glanced at the phone, and then subtly moved it a little further away.

Although Qin Mingchuan was surprised, he quickly adjusted.

He knew very well that Su Xingyao would likely hang up upon hearing his voice, so he hurriedly stated his purpose.

    "Xing Yao, can we meet?"

    "Let's talk about your contract."

As Qin Mingchuan spoke the second sentence, Luori moved closer to Su Xingyao.

Curious about the paint on the ground, it stretched out its paw, ready to swipe at it.

Lu Jiuxu quickly reached out with his free hand to stop it.

    "Luori!"

Hearing Lu Jiuxu call its name, Luori instantly knew it wasn't supposed to touch that and quickly turned around to find Coral.

But Su Xingyao had his phone on speaker mode.

Lu Jiuxu's voice was not only heard by Luori but also clearly by Qin Mingchuan on the other end of the line.

Then, there was a heavy silence.

He was on the phone with his fiancé, yet this man was right there with him again.

And the voice was so clear; they must have been very close...

At the thought of this, Qin Mingchuan nearly threw his phone.

With Luori's interruption, their conversation suddenly stopped.

After a brief pause, Su Xingyao finally agreed.

    "Alright."

"Just send me the time and location."

His contract was still in Qin Mingchuan's hands, and it was something that needed sorting out.

After saying this, Su Xingyao quickly blinked at Lu Jiuxu, signaling him to end the call.

Noticing Su Xingyao's eagerness to end the call, a slight smile crept onto Lu Jiuxu's face.

    *

Hearing Su Xingyao agree, Qin Mingchuan's spirits lifted a bit, despite his earlier irritation with Lu Jiuxu.

He took the assistant's phone directly and then got busy booking a restaurant.

He didn't pass these tasks off to his assistant but took care of them himself.

At first, he thought about booking a spot at one of Su Xingyao's favorite places.

But after racking his brain, he realized he could easily list Shen Huaixi's favorite spots but couldn't recall where Su Xingyao liked to go.

He wasn't even sure if Su Xingyao preferred Japanese, Western, or Chinese food.

From what he remembered, Su Xingyao always seemed easygoing, eating whatever was ordered without complaint.

He had never really noticed Su Xingyao's likes and dislikes.

This realization made Qin Mingchuan feel even guiltier.

Because Su Xingyao, without ever being told, seemed to know all his likes and dislikes by heart.

Especially on his birthday every year, Su Xingyao would carefully send him a set of robot or mecha models.

Each style felt like it was made just for him, perfectly matching all his aesthetic preferences.

Thinking of these, Qin Mingchuan suddenly realized how much he had neglected Su Xingyao's feelings over the years...

After spending the afternoon locked in his office, Qin Mingchuan just barely recalled that Su Xingyao had once mentioned a place from his childhood filled with peonies.

Su Xingyao had even mentioned the name of a specific peony.

But Qin Mingchuan hadn't paid attention then, and naturally, he had completely forgotten it by now.

Qin Mingchuan was frustrated with his own carelessness but eventually consoled himself.

Remembering this was better than nothing, so he quickly had someone search for nearby places with peonies and finally chose a restaurant themed around peonies.

Qin Mingchuan set the meeting for noon two days later.

On the day of the appointment, he, who was usually the one others waited for, made sure to arrive an hour early.

To ensure privacy, he even reserved the entire restaurant.

Once the driver parked the car, Qin Mingchuan, dressed up formally, was escorted by the waiter to the reserved area.

The private room was beautifully decorated, surrounded by walls covered in roses and spray roses.

The semi-open balcony on the right was cleverly designed; just by looking over, you could see the wide array of blooming peonies outside.

It was peony season, and even from the private room, you could smell the fresh scent of the flowers.

The restaurant had set the perfect mood for a romantic date.

After admiring the various peonies outside, Qin Mingchuan turned his gaze to a bouquet of peonies in the room.

Recognizing it, he asked the waiter, "Does this flower have a name?"

The waiter nodded and enthusiastically introduced it to him. "This one is called Hawaiian Coral."

Hearing this name, Qin Mingchuan took another look at the bouquet.

He suddenly remembered that this was what Su Xingyao had mentioned before...

Realizing that he had inadvertently recalled a forgotten detail, Qin Mingchuan felt fortunate about his choice of restaurant today.

Later, he would definitely ask Xing Yao properly and remember his preferences.

Just as Qin Mingchuan was thinking this, he suddenly heard footsteps.

Realizing that Su Xingyao had arrived, he quickly stood up to greet him.

    "Xing Yao..."

Qin Mingchuan's tone was much more enthusiastic than usual.

But when he looked up and saw who had arrived, the smile on his face immediately froze.
