Chapter 11: The Premier Interstellar Prison

Life on the barren planet was far from monotonous. Every day, Agnes would take He Xiangchen on excursions across the planet. They had the most advanced Rocbottom, enabling them to travel anywhere they pleased.

The poor starship had been reduced to a cheap and low-level means of transportation, much like an airplane.

Agnes was highly skilled in surviving in the wild. He could hunt, prepare food, and even barbecue. The food he grilled was incredibly tasty.

"What is this?" He Xiangchen took the roasted leg handed to him by Agnes and took a whiff. "It smells amazing!"

"It's the leg of a Lulu bird, a local bird species. These birds are good at running, so the meat in their legs is firm and well-toned, making it very chewy. Their wings, however, have atrophied, making them extremely tender."

Agnes brushed a layer of golden honey onto the Lulu bird's wings with a basting brush. The enticing sweet aroma filled the air, making He Xiangchen's mouth water.

"Let me test it for poison."

He Xiangchen took a bite, and the juices exploded with flavor in his mouth. It was a bit hot, but he couldn't bear to spit it out, so he kept blowing on it to cool it down.

The sound of Agnes's hearty laughter filled the air. "Relax, it's not going anywhere."

When had the always composed General ever felt so flustered? He quickly swallowed the meat and then pushed the leg into Agnes's mouth.

Agnes skillfully bit off a piece of meat, looking at him with a mischievous look.

It was only then that He Xiangchen realized he had already bitten into the leg. Now that Agnes had taken a bite, should he continue eating it?

    But it was really delicious...

He deeply regretted his impulsive action of offering up the meat that was already in his mouth!

"Don't worry, I'll swap you this wing."

Agnes graciously offered the wing he was currently grilling to He Xiangchen, while taking away the leg they had both bitten.

He Xiangchen hesitated briefly but did not refuse the delicious food now in his hands.

"The night is beautiful tonight, General. If you keep your head down, you'll miss the starlight," Agnes said softly, his voice as mesmerizing as ever, as deep and alluring as the night itself.

He Xiangchen shrugged. "Even with my head down, the starlight is everywhere."

Agnes was momentarily stunned. By the time he regained his composure, his General had already finished eating and was tossing the bones into the fire.

"Fight me," He Xiangchen suddenly said.

    "Huh?"

    "Consider it post-meal exercise."

After cleaning their oily hands and lips, the two stood quietly by the small river. The shimmering water reflected the night, casting a soft glow on them.

He Xiangchen nodded at him, then took a step forward, launching a fierce punch. Agnes was equally unyielding, skillfully countering the General's relentless attacks, holding his ground.

The two fought bare-handed for over a hundred rounds, and finally, He Xiangchen, with a slight advantage, pinned Agnes down.

"You lost," He Xiangchen panted, sweat dripping from his forehead onto Agnes's cheek.

He heard Agnes swallow, the sound unusually clear in the quiet riverside.

Sensing something unusual in a certain area, He Xiangchen scrambled up as if he had seen a ghost. But Agnes seized the moment, flipping over and pinning He Xiangchen down!

Behind him was the cold stone, and in front of him was a scorching man. His body was trapped between them, unable to break free.

"Don't play with fire," Agnes said with an aggressive gaze, tracing the features of his beloved, "or I'll have my way with you right here!"

"You can't beat me," He Xiangchen said with a blank expression.

"..." Agnes was stunned into silence. He stared at He Xiangchen for a while, his eyes darkening. Finally, he couldn't resist lowering his head and claiming the lips of the General that he had longed for.

In that moment, it felt as if everything had been frozen, time forced to stand still.

Their lips met, and their fiery bodies instinctively pressed against the only cool surface. They drank each other in, as if they were drowning in an endless entanglement.

After what felt like an eternity, long enough for He Xiangchen to think he might truly suffocate, Agnes finally pulled away.

"I really want to consume you, my General," Agnes said, his voice hoarse with unfulfilled desire, the madness of his love evident in his eyes. He buried his head in He Xiangchen's neck, breathing in his scent deeply.

The tingling and wet sensation on his neck made He Xiangchen push against Agnes's shaggy head.

"Don't lick," He Xiangchen warned him, flustered.

"If I can't lick here, where else can I lick?"

"Nowhere! Get up now, or I'll knock you out!"

He Xiangchen glared at him, and Agnes reluctantly pulled him up, though his hands still lingered on He Xiangchen's side.

He Xiangchen quietly swatted his hand away. "Let's go back."

"Oh," Agnes said, unenthusiastic. He had finally gotten to kiss the General, and he wasn't sure if he'd get another chance like this.

He Xiangchen walked ahead, and when he looked back, he saw Agnes following behind him like an abandoned puppy.

Perhaps in this world, only he would think that the notorious pirate leader could look like a pitiful puppy.

    "Hey, Agnes!"

    "Hmm?"

"If you reach the Rocbottom before me, I might consider dating you... ahem, I mean, that kiss was nice!"

After saying this, He Xiangchen watched as Agnes instantly shifted from a puppy to a wolf. He pounced on He Xiangchen, clutching him tightly and biting his neck.

Then he sprinted toward the starship.

He Xiangchen wiped off his saliva with a look of disgust, but the corners of his mouth curved slightly as he watched Agnes's figure disappear into the darkness.

Along the way, the stars lit their path.

    ...

One day, an invitation suddenly arrived at Agnes's estate.

He Xiangchen opened it and read, "It's the annual First Warrior Election on the Barren Star."

The Barren Star was a highly autonomous planet, but like most planets, it also had a ruler-like figure. Due to its location at the intersection of two major star systems and frequent disturbances from star-devouring beasts, the people there had established a rule to elect the strongest warrior to govern the planet.

Agnes naturally wrapped his arms around He Xiangchen, burying his head in his neck, his voice lazy. "Do you want to go?"

"I want to check it out."

"Since we're going, just sightseeing would be pretty dull, don't you think?" Agnes kissed He Xiangchen's cheek. "How about you, General, fancy being the king of this wasteland?"

He Xiangchen pushed his head away. "No way."

"Then I'm going for it!" Agnes's eyes were full of mischief. "Once I'm king of this rock, the first thing I'll do is make you my queen!"

    "..."

He Xiangchen's stoic expression faltered slightly. He pulled his hand away, refusing to engage.

Agnes, lost in his grand fantasy, continued, "I'll throw the biggest interstellar wedding bash, inviting every soul from this barren rock. I'll broadcast it live across the network, letting everyone see you become my bride."

The Federation's Star marrying a pirate leader? That would be the scandal of the century across the galaxy.

Just the thought of it gave He Xiangchen a headache.

"Alright, I'll go," He Xiangchen turned his head helplessly to look at him. "With me there, your little king fantasy might just fall apart."

    "That's fine by me."

Agnes's eyes sparkled with mirth, like stars strewn across the night sky. "I'd be honored to crown you myself."

    ...

The election took place at Bentley Grand Plaza, the largest open space on the barren planet.

Spanning over a thousand acres, the plaza was vast enough to host a chaotic brawl of hundreds of thousands. The rules were simple: enter the plaza and fight until only one remained.

The brutal melee offered no safeguards or virtual combat—just raw strength and survival instincts.

As He Xiangchen and Agnes stepped into the plaza, a gunshot suddenly echoed through the air.

    Chaos erupted!

They held back, knowing that while strength mattered, strategy was key. With just their fists, they couldn't take on the entire crowd.

So they decided to bide their time.

After swiftly dispatching nearby foes, they melted into the shadows. Masters of stealth, they used the plaza's lighting to their advantage, creating blind spots.

"Someone's got a wave gun—watch out," He Xiangchen whispered to Agnes.

The wave gun fired high-intensity electric pulses, striking unseen. Due to its excellent concealment, it was also known as the invisible gun, specifically used for sneak attacks.

Agnes, familiar with the weapon, smirked with interest. "I'll snag that for us."

"No thanks, I like my fists just fine."

He Xiangchen spoke gravely; the bandit's influence was stirring a dormant ferocity within him.

Agnes adored this side of him, yearning to pull the General close and kiss him.

As time ticked by, the crowd thinned—some yielded, others fell, never to rise again.

When the number was reduced to a hundred, He Xiangchen and Agnes were inevitably drawn into the melee. They found that most of these people carried weapons, not just wave guns, but many other concealed weapons.

And those who were unarmed naturally became the targets.

"Brothers, it's not easy to fight till now. Surrender on your own, and we can let you live."

The man in front was at least over two meters tall, his thick muscles almost bursting out of his shirt. He held a wave gun, tilting his chin up at the two.

Agnes crossed his arms, teasing, "What if we don't?"

    "Then stay here forever."
