Chapter 1: Give Me Your Pheromones
byChapter 1: Give Me Your Pheromones
"My Prince, you've returned." Standing at the door was Gu Huai's guard, Pei Ji, who immediately stepped forward respectfully upon seeing the tall figure descend from the carriage.
"Mn." Gu Huai nodded tersely before striding inside, with Pei Ji following closely behind.
"Have you found out? Who sent him?" Gu Huai asked in a low voice as he walked.
"No traces found yet. We’ve also checked with the Second Prince’s household, but there’s no one named Ji Zhiyang," Pei Ji replied with a frown after hearing his master’s question.
"Keep searching!" A dark glint flashed in Gu Huai’s eyes, unsurprised by the result. If they dared to send someone, they would have covered their tracks flawlessly.
"Yes," Pei Ji answered respectfully.
"Is he awake yet?" Gu Huai paused slightly and turned to look at Pei Ji, who was right behind him.
"Not yet. The physician said it’s nothing serious—he’ll likely wake tomorrow," Pei Ji replied truthfully after a moment’s thought.
"Dismissed." Gu Huai waved his hand dismissively and walked alone toward the room.
When he pushed open the door, an overpowering scent of roses immediately enveloped him, filling the entire room with its heavy fragrance, invigorating yet overwhelming his senses.
Before he could react, a figure in white collapsed into his arms.
"Quick... give it to me... I can't take it anymore..." A pair of soft hands wrapped around his waist, warm breath brushing against his neck, sending shivers down his spine.
Gu Huai looked up and saw Ji Zhiyang gazing at him with fever-bright eyes. His delicate, flushed face was drenched in sweat, covered in a feverish blush, and his parted, trembling lips quivered as if inviting him to taste.
Gu Huai pushed him away, his expression dark as he gripped Ji Zhiyang’s shoulders and demanded coldly, "Why are you in my room? Speak—who sent you?"
But Ji Zhiyang only swayed like a drunkard, his blank, mindless expression turning foolish as he mumbled, "Give me... I need... give me your pheromones..."
Before Gu Huai could question his words, Ji Zhiyang clung to his arm again, fingers frantically tugging at his robes before mouthing desperately at him.
Gu Huai frowned and dodged, but Ji Zhiyang seemed oblivious, clinging tightly and refusing to let go, his hands pawing frantically over Gu Huai’s body.
"Quick... give it to me..."
Ji Zhiyang continued to murmur, his legs rubbing feverishly against Gu Huai’s.
Gu Huai’s frown deepened, inwardly cursing—how had he ended up with a raving lunatic? Hadn’t the physician already given him medicine?
But Ji Zhiyang paid no heed to Gu Huai’s thoughts, still rubbing feverishly against him, burying his face in Gu Huai’s neck and greedily inhaling his scent like a rut-crazed animal.
Suppressing the urge to kill, Gu Huai flung Ji Zhiyang away in irritation, sending him crashing to the floor.
Ji Zhiyang crawled back up and stumbled toward him again.
Enraged, Gu Huai seized Ji Zhiyang’s collar and yanked him back, barking, "Get away from me!"
His thunderous voice echoed through the room, laced with warning and authority, but Ji Zhiyang remained unresponsive, as if drugged, mindlessly straining closer.
"P-please... give it to me... pheromones..."
I need your pheromones... pheromones.
Gu Huai didn’t understand what he meant by "pheromones," only thinking the man had lost his mind and was now raving in his room.
He hurled Ji Zhiyang back once more, clamping his hand around his throat and slamming him against the wall, glaring at him with icy fury.
Ji Zhiyang struggled, trying to break free from Gu Huai's grip, but Gu Huai was too strong. His strength was no match for him. Just as he thought he was going to die, Gu Huai suddenly let go and threw him to the ground.
Ji Zhiyang lay on the floor, coughing violently and gasping for breath, looking up at Gu Huai in shock.
Moonlight bathed Gu Huai’s profile. His features were sharp and strikingly handsome, like a statue—utterly flawless. But at this moment, his expression was terrifyingly dark, his entire body radiating a chilling aura, like a Demon King descending from the underworld, glaring down at him with icy disdain.
Gu Huai looked coldly at the man on the ground. Had he known this would happen, he shouldn’t have gotten involved. When this man had rushed into his palanquin begging for help, he should have ordered him thrown out instead of taking pity and saving him.
Who knew this man wasn’t just insane but bold enough to crawl into his bed?
Over the years, countless people had been sent to his estate, employing all sorts of bizarre tactics. But sending a man to his bed—this was a first.
Despite his fear, Ji Zhiyang still persistently crawled toward Gu Huai.
“I need you… give me your pheromones… do you hear me?” Ji Zhiyang's voice was hoarse and low, laced with desperation and need.
Pheromones? Gu Huai had no idea, but he knew this thing was important to the man before him. Perhaps he could use it to control him, to make him obediently reveal the mastermind behind this.
With that thought, he brushed off Ji Zhiyang’s pleas and slowly crouched down, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Pheromones... I have them. I can give them to you…”
Ji Zhiyang jerked his head up, gazing at Gu Huai with wild hope, gripping his arm excitedly. “Really? Hurry… give them to me…”
Ji Zhiyang felt like he was going insane. His body was on the verge of betraying him.
Before transmigrating, the system had told him: he needed to conquer the Demon King of this world, make him fall in love, and bear his child—only then could he return to reality.
But as soon as he arrived, his heat cycle struck. Disoriented, he staggered down the street, hearing someone call out "Gu Huai." Knowing this was his target, he rushed straight toward him.
At first glance, Ji Zhiyang froze. The system had said the Demon King was born with a disability—a large birthmark on his right cheek. But the man before him was nothing like what the system had described. With a tall, well-proportioned figure, even motionless, he commanded an oppressive, regal air.
How many people could share that name? Ji Zhiyang didn’t have time to think further. All he craved was Gu Huai’s pheromones—anything to ease his heat.
“Pheromones… I need your pheromones… hurry…” Ji Zhiyang repeated the same words over and over, clutching at Gu Huai desperately.
He hadn’t intended to come on so strong. But when he caught the milky scent emanating from Gu Huai, his mind went blank, craving only the most intoxicating sweetness from him.
Gu Huai pushed him away, scrutinizing his fever-flushed, striking features. He was Gu Huai’s type down to the last detail.
"Tell me who sent you, and I’ll give you the pheromones."
Ji Zhiyang lifted his head with difficulty, his hair disheveled, his breaths coming in short gasps. His moist lips parted slightly, as if fighting a losing battle against himself, yet unable to hide the haze in his peach-blossom eyes.
His eyes were hypnotically bright, as if they could capture all attention and ensnare anyone who gazed into them.
A beauty like that was downright dangerous.
“The… system…” Ji Zhiyang forced out the words, his voice trembling violently, as if enduring immense pain. “Give them… to me… I can’t hold on…”
“The system?” Gu Huai raised an eyebrow, puzzled. “Who is the system?”
Ji Zhiyang shook his head, the haze in his eyes deepening. His mind was a chaotic mess, with only one thought remaining—he needed Gu Huai’s pheromones.
Ji Zhiyang clung to him again, sweat beading on his forehead. His hands slipped into Gu Huai’s robes, caressing his chest as he murmured, “Help… me…”
“Please… help me… help…”
If not for the heat, Ji Zhiyang would never have begged anyone, let alone actively kissed a stranger. But his endurance had reached its limit—his body was a furnace, agony coursing through him.
All he needed now was something cool, something to douse the flames inside him. Only then could he return to normal.
Gu Huai frowned. He had never seen a man so wanton and unrestrained, even going so far as to throw himself at another man, like a starving man grabbing at any food—or a drugged-up whore desperate for a client.
"Who is this 'system'? Why did he send you to me?" Gu Huai gripped his wrists tightly and said coldly, "Are you working for Gu Jing? What exactly is your scheme?"
His voice was glacial and threatening, his gaze sharp and piercing.
Gu Jing, Gu Huai's second elder brother, was ruthless and cunning, commanding a private army with formidable power. He had always seen Gu Huai as a thorn in his side, eager to eliminate him at any cost.
Ji Zhiyang, restrained by Gu Huai, couldn't move, but he still struggled and said, "I'm not here to hurt you… I just… just want… your pheromones..."
Ji Zhiyang panted heavily, his face flushed red, clearly on the verge of collapse. "Please… give it to me first… I'm dying here..."
"I'll call a doctor to examine you. Once you recover, I expect you to tell me who sent you and why you sought me out." Gu Huai released him and turned to leave.
Before he could open the door, a scorching body pressed against Gu Huai's back. Ji Zhiyang clung to him like a limpet, his fingers slipping between the folds of Gu Huai's robe to caress his chest, then slowly moving downward...
"His medicine... does nothing..."
"Please… I'm in agony here… give it to me..."
Ji Zhiyang stood on his tiptoes to kiss his neck—his eager kisses carried a mix of longing and panic. Perhaps even he didn’t realize how soft his lips were, carrying a faint scent of roses, utterly intoxicating.
"Don’t go… please… help me..."
Ji Zhiyang cried out helplessly, but his hands didn’t stop, sliding slowly down Gu Huai’s chest until they reached his abdomen, rubbing gently through the fabric.
His tongue licked Gu Huai’s earlobe, wet and teasing, releasing an overwhelming wave of pheromones, trying to lure him into surrender.
But this alpha might as well have been carved from ice. Even with Ji Zhiyang’s actions that would tempt a saint, Gu Huai remained unmoved.
Gu Huai turned his head to look at Ji Zhiyang, removing the wandering hands from his body, and said coldly, "Let go!"
His voice was icy and commanding, but it didn’t frighten Ji Zhiyang. Instead, Ji Zhiyang grew even bolder—the moment Gu Huai turned his head, he kissed his lips.
