The teacher adjusted his glasses, pretending not to see Xu Sining’s look.

He turned to the other students and said, “Can’t you guys figure out how to turn when you’re stuck?”

“Not my fault—I was stuck!”

“You rammed me and wrecked my bot!”

“Bull, I passed you on the turn!”

“You’re insane.”

The kids kept arguing loudly, diverting everyone’s attention.

Xu Sining ran over and picked up his turtle.

Sure, he’d technically won first place, but the way he did it was kinda cheating.

After class, the teacher called Xu Sining to the office again and checked out his turtle.

Xu Sining watched quietly, keeping his mouth shut.

The teacher looked at its internal structure and even connected a data cable to check the programming.

But the teacher stayed quiet.

Then he handed the turtle back to Xu Sining, telling him to fix it up properly at home. He didn’t say anything else, so Xu Sining didn’t dare ask and just grabbed his turtle and bolted.

Xu Sining had figured he’d be disqualified from the robot competition, but he wasn’t. He didn’t get why the teacher trusted him so much.

The prelims were next week.

That weekend, with no plans, Xu Sining had no choice but to keep working on his bot.

His livestream got banned last time and still hadn’t been reinstated.

But even though he was suspended, fans had clipped and shared his streams, and he’d actually gained over 300K followers that week.

Guess people love watching a streamer mess up.

No more streaming for now.

Gu Xi had been off the grid for two years, so during this time, he spent most of his days online at home.

Xu Sining was kinda bored and kept sneaking glances into the study.

Gu Xi caught him lurking and used vines to drag him in.

“Hey, hey, hey—” Xu Sining tripped and fell right into Gu Xi’s lap.

Gu Xi hauled him onto his lap.

“What do you want?”

Xu Sining glanced at the screen—military sites. Ugh, boring.

“Just bored stuck at home,” he muttered. “Wanna go out, but don’t know where.”

"Not streaming today?" Gu Xi asked.

At this, Xu Sining glared at him. "You got me banned, and I'm still banned!"

Gu Xi gave a slight smirk. "Then... want to go out with me?"

"Where to?" Xu Sining asked.

"I'll take you to an amusement park."

"Sure, but how will you go out? Aren't you supposed to pretend you're still unconscious?"

"Just need a mask." Gu Xi picked up Xu Sining in his arms and walked toward the master bedroom.

Setting Xu Sining down on the bed, he took out a bag of black masks from the closet.

He tossed one to Xu Sining. "Here's one for you."

Xu Sining opened it and put it on. "I'm not worried about being recognized."

"If you're seen, they'll connect you to me. Better safe than sorry."

Gu Xi took off his loungewear, standing in just black underwear as he went through the closet looking for clothes.

Xu Sining noticed the faint scars on his back.

He reached out and touched them.

"How did you get these?"

Gu Xi's shoulders tensed, and he grabbed Xu Sining's wrist. "Hands off."

Xu Sining pulled his wrist free and reached out to touch his back again.

"We've slept together already, and you won't let me touch?"

Gu Xi turned his head, giving him a half-smile. "You didn't really want to go out, did you? You just wanted this."

"Nope," Xu Sining immediately pulled his hand back. "I want to go out."

Gu Xi grabbed a black cropped hoodie, then turned and leaned in close to Xu Sining's face, lowering his voice. "I want to go inside instead."

Xu Sining's eyes widened. "I can't believe you're this kind of person!"

"You were the one who made me listen to that drama CD, remember?" Gu Xi hadn't forgotten the forty-minute audio drama full of moans that Xu Sining had subjected him to.
