Chapter 256: Side Story – Dungeon Encounters

According to the Rule System's announcement, the 5-star dungeon is divided into two parts.

The first part involves all members of Su Shi's team being separated and needing to regroup in the parking lot before their supply vehicle is destroyed.

After successfully reuniting in the parking lot, the team would face the second part—a familiar journey for them.

A clean, well-maintained highway appears before them. Players must drive the supply vehicle to a designated location. Monsters from the dungeon world can scent the players' presence at any time and rush to attack them. Treasure chests will still appear on the highway, which players can choose to open or ignore.

If they choose to open a chest, it may contain supplies or dangers. All treasure chests encountered by players are bound to their supply vehicle. Only players in the same vehicle can open them—even teammates from the same squad cannot assist.

If they choose to ignore a chest, certain specific supplies will not reappear in other chests.

Unlike previous dungeon highways, this 5-star dungeon highway requires players to make a choice first:

[If you choose the Welfare Highway, the treasure chests you encounter will definitely contain the Basic Welfare, with a chance of containing the Enhanced Welfare and the Ultimate Welfare. These three types of welfare are bound to the player. If obtained from a chest, they can only be used by the player themselves.

If all three types of welfare are successfully obtained, the player can choose to convert two of them into points.

The Basic Welfare can be exchanged for 1 million points, the Enhanced Welfare for 5 million points, and the Ultimate Welfare for 10 million points. All exchanges are final and non-refundable.

Note: Treasure chests on the Welfare Highway are guaranteed to contain Basic Welfare x1, with a chance of containing Enhanced Welfare x1 and Ultimate Welfare x1. All other chests are dangerous. If you choose this highway, please ensure you have sufficient fuel, food, and other supplies.]

[If you choose the Normal Highway, the treasure chests you encounter will absolutely not contain the three aforementioned welfare types.
