The attacks outside the protective shield had no effect on the city of Luyi, and similarly, the city could not harm the zombies just outside its walls; the shield completely isolated the safe zone.

Shenchi and Cao Kun attacked the Level 6 zombie while leading it away from the safe zone.

The energy shield protecting the safe zone could only withstand attacks from Level 5 and below zombies; a Level 6 zombie could likely shatter it with a single blow.

Jiang Zhendong clearly understood this as well. His gaze swept over the safe zone of Luyi, the Level 6 zombie, and Shenchi before he sternly instructed Zhao Xiong, who had been guarding behind him: "Go, have the doctor release G001."

Shenchi and his companions had heard Ji Kaiwen describe the monster created by Jiang Zhendong and Zhong Botao. So when a massive creature, comparable to a Level 5 zombie, suddenly appeared before the safe zone and let out a deafening roar that knocked many people off their feet, they immediately noticed it.

Ji Kaiwen and other ability users immediately attacked the monster, but even though it wasn't yet at the level of a top-tier Level 6 zombie, its speed and dynamic vision made it extremely difficult for humans to harm it.

Suddenly, a young man pointed at one of the heads of the monster that was killing comrades and shouted at He Chang.

The monster's heads were grotesque, with bulging eyes, pockmarked faces, and hair like straw, twisted and tangled. The necks still bore visible stitching marks.

He Chang's team members shared deep bonds. They always knew they would die on the battlefield, silently disappearing from the world, but never imagined being turned into monsters to slaughter their own brothers!

They took turns fighting, trying to avoid being torn apart by the monster while attacking it and attempting to awaken some semblance of their teammate's consciousness.

The monster swung its arms and roared, then charged towards the protective shield with legs like towering pillars!

Everyone was shocked and rushed to stop it.

He Chang teleported in front of it, firing energy shots relentlessly, the flames targeting the monster's heads.

It seemed to feel pain, struggling with a hideous expression, but did not retreat. With another teleport, it slapped He Chang away.

He Chang crashed into the protective shield and fell heavily to the ground.

As he moved, there was a sharp crack from his ankle—fractured.

He Chang turned and saw Ming Jing standing behind him, eyes closed, covered in mud, yet still out of place amidst the bloody scene.

The little monk's eyes snapped open, and waves of light flickered within them. The giant monster, as if bound by invisible ropes, struggled, its huge eyes wildly darting around.

A moment later, the three-headed monster howled to the sky, and its six fists suddenly turned inward, slamming into itself.

Ming Jing broke out in cold sweat, taking a step back as He Chang leaned close, "Fire pit!"

Earth and metal ability users immediately dug a large pit, and the monster leaped into it—

The earth quickly refilled the pit, while wood and fire ability users poured raging flames into it!

The monster writhed in agony, leaving claw marks on the ground. Metal, wood, and ice ability users continuously reinforced the walls, while others protected these ability users.

Many were in tears.

The most heart-wrenching sight was He Chang's men, unable to save their brother, watching helplessly as he died. All they could do was charge into the zombie horde, venting their anger on the culprits, even at the cost of their own lives!

On the other side, the Level 6 zombie devoured the only Level 5 earth ability user and the dynamic vision ability user. Anna, as the main attacker and dual earth-wood ability user, was rapidly depleting her energy, and everyone else was exhausted, yet the Level 6 zombie showed no signs of weakness.

Facing the threat of the Level 6 zombie and the relentless attacks from surrounding zombies, Shenchi and his companions were already at their limits.

Ming Jing patted He Chang, who was protecting him, and pointed towards the Level 6 zombie, "Quick, take me there!"

Gu Yibei and Shenchi acted simultaneously; the latter lunged directly at the Level 6 zombie, while the former sent a gust of wind, catching up to Shenchi and propelling him towards the zombie!

Cao Kun, knowing this was part of the plan, still felt his heart skip a beat and hurriedly summoned a fire dragon to attack the Level 6 zombie!

Anna unleashed her dual earth-wood abilities, with earth walls rising and vines entwining!

The Level 6 zombie opened its bloody maw. At the very moment everyone's abilities were clearly restrained by another force, everything within a one-meter radius of the Level 6 zombie suddenly froze in place.

Time stopped at this instant, and everything remained as it was just a second ago.

Shenchi frowned slightly, not fully understanding what Jiang Zhendong meant. Jiang Zhendong scrutinized Shenchi carefully, then suddenly leaned down and licked his neck.

Shenchi shuddered.

Jiang Zhendong chuckled, his deliberately lowered voice making one want to vomit.

"I heard you had a daughter," Jiang Zhendong said, looking at Shenchi with interest. "Let me guess, is she a dual-element ability user with ice and space, or fire and space?"

Jiang Zhendong approached Shenchi again, completely disregarding the disgust in Shenchi's eyes and the approaching Level 6 zombie led by his subordinates.
