Chapter 88
by 听原Chapter 88
When it came down to it, neither of them had much experience in this matter.
The only time they had gone all the way was that one occasion. Afterward, Chen Mo had a lingering fever and various issues cropped up. Xi Siyan was very restrained, and Chen Mo thought his desire for such matters wasn't strong.
Until things started spiraling out of control.
The person who had just been talking about restraint was now untying his tie to bind Chen Mo's hands, pinning them to the armrest of the sofa to control his struggles.
Chen Mo, with his shirt half-open, flushed red as he kicked at him, "Let go!"
"At this point, isn't it too late to say let go?" Xi Siyan pressed his thigh against him, towering above, his eyes grazing over Chen Mo's reddened chin, his partially exposed chest, and the slow, torturous movement of his belt.
Click, a sound echoed.
Chen Mo felt like he must be crazy.
He tried to push him away, "This is your office."
"No one will come in; the door is locked." Xi Siyan pushed him back down, leaning over, and kissed his neck, gently biting the delicate skin there.
Chen Mo's waist went limp, his head tilted back, his breathing uneven. Finally, he found an excuse, "No protection."
"Not doing it." Xi Siyan whispered against his neck.
Before Chen Mo could catch his breath, he felt Xi Siyan move down inch by inch. Chen Mo slightly raised his head, realizing what he was about to do, his heart pounding like a drum.
A hoarse "no" hadn't even left his lips when his hands, held above his head, tightened, his upper body arching, his mind blank.
The sensory and visual overload burned Chen Mo's eyes, and he gave up resisting, biting his lower lip and muttering, "Crazy."
Chen Mo didn't know where Xi Siyan got such skillful techniques, not even noticing when the tie binding his hands was loosened. He only knew that in the end, he too was swept up in the madness, grabbing Xi Siyan's hair and pulling him up, kissing him without hesitation.
Their breaths mingled and intertwined.
Unlike that rainy night in the small-town hotel, which was awkward and inexperienced.
In terms of both psychology and skill, Chen Mo's understanding of this matter had reached a new level. Once he stopped worrying about the place and the person, knowing he liked him, there was nothing wrong with it.
The consequence of his reciprocation was that the leather sofa ended up looking utterly ruined.
Originally black, the leather now seemed darker, marred with uneven marks. The crumpled tie on the armrest, the coat tossed on the carpet, and the watch carelessly thrown on the coffee table made the scene increasingly unbearable to look at.
Especially Chen Mo, sitting on the single sofa, holding his forehead, looking somewhat regretful. The distracted weariness between his brows, the lingering flush on his skin, and the slight tear at the corner of his mouth all seemed to proclaim someone's loss of control.
In fact, the wound wasn't caused by Xi Siyan's recklessness.
He returned with ointment, crouching in front of Chen Mo, frowning as he applied it, saying, "Didn't you feel any pain?"
Chen Mo glanced at him, noting how his suit made him look broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted, "You look quite respectable now."
Xi Siyan closed the cap, smiling, "But you were the one who took the initiative afterward."
"I was driven by lust, okay?" Chen Mo looked at the sofa, closing his eyes in slight pain, urging, "Aren't you obsessed with cleanliness? Find someone to replace the sofa."
Xi Siyan stood up from his crouch, resting his hands on the armrests of the single sofa, staring at Chen Mo, softly saying, "Replace it? If we replaced something every time, wouldn't that be too extravagant? Like the bed, the carpet, the sink, etc."
Chen Mo glanced at him.
Xi Siyan raised his hand, "Replace it."
Chen Mo would have replaced it anyway.
It wasn't because of some obsessive cleanliness or because it was an eyesore. It was because although he used the sofa mostly for naps, there were times when he needed to meet guests here. Now, letting others use it was something Xi Siyan couldn't bear, so he preferred moving the sofa into the adjacent unfinished rest area.
Chen Mo hadn't driven there.
So after another half hour, they left the office together.
From the VIP elevator to the parking lot.
It was just the time for people to leave work. Xi Siyan's car was parked far from the elevator exit, and as they approached, they heard voices coming from a blind spot nearby.
"Is it true? President Xi and that Chen from Xinrui..."
"There's definitely something going on. Think about it, whether it's Huanshang's investment or manipulating Yang's, everything somehow ties back to that President Chen. Plus, I have a friend interning at Xinrui, and the rumors started there. Many saw President Chen in the hospital, and President Xi was always there, so their relationship is deep."
"How deep? They're high school classmates, and their companies cooperate. Visiting someone in the hospital out of courtesy isn't unusual."
"Isn't it unusual for President Xi to call President Chen back alone today? I heard from the secretaries that when they brought water in, President Chen was wearing President Xi's coat, watching news on a tablet on the sofa. Even Assistant Han wouldn't dare be so casual in that office."
"So? Does President Xi really fancy him, no matter what?"
"If it were me, I'd be willing too. You haven't seen him in person. That President Chen is really... attractive. His waist, his legs, his face. Do you think he's purely gay or bisexual?"
Chen Mo smiled, opening the car door and getting in.
He fastened his seatbelt, asking, "Was Huanshang the first company you invested in after returning to China because of me?"
"Not entirely." Xi Siyan drove, stepping on the gas, reversing out of the parking space, "At that time, Zhu Zhengtao was reported and recalled to headquarters. Since I decided to protect him, I couldn't let Huanshang fall apart."
As soon as the car moved, it caught attention.
The few CM employees standing in the blind spot were stunned.
Staring at Xi Siyan through the open window, they stammered awkwardly, "President Xi."
"Leaving work, President Xi?"
"Ahh, Mr. Xi, we were just..."
Xi Siyan looked outside and said in a calm voice, "After work is personal time, but don't discuss clients' private lives casually at the company's entrance."
Several people felt awkward.
Only then did they notice Chen Mo in the passenger seat of Xi Siyan's car.
They all apologized, "Mr. Chen, sorry about that."
"Mr. Chen, our apologies."
Chen Mo leaned forward and smiled, "Mr. Xi is too serious. It's fine, don't worry about it."
At this moment, Xi Siyan closed the car window and drove off.
Chen Mo turned to look at the employees with various expressions on their faces and chuckled as he said to Xi Siyan, "Was it necessary? They're already off work. Why do you care what they say? Those guys probably won't sleep tonight, thinking they'll be fired."
Xi Siyan tapped his index finger on the steering wheel, "This is a major taboo in the workplace. If it wasn't you who came today but another business partner, it could have affected the final decision."
Chen Mo turned sideways.
Xi Siyan asked, "What's wrong?"
Chen Mo nodded, "I remembered when you were class president in high school." Then he asked, "Really no ulterior motives?"
"Yes," Xi Siyan admitted, "I don't like hearing others talk about you."
Chen Mo raised an eyebrow, "You were talking so righteously just now, about clients? Clients who are misbehaving in your office?"
Xi Siyan seemed to be touched by a nerve and sighed, "Don't provoke me, I'm driving."
The car moved steadily on the road.
Chen Mo was indeed a bit hungry and took out his phone to find something to eat nearby.
Then, after a short while, there was a loud crash ahead.
"What happened?" Chen Mo looked up.
Xi Siyan's phone rang; it was connected via Bluetooth, and he answered it directly through the car's speaker.
"Mr. Xi," it was the bodyguard's voice, which Chen Mo recognized.
Xi Siyan asked, "What's going on?"
The bodyguard replied, "There's been a chain collision ahead. It's rush hour, and the fire trucks and ambulances are stuck behind the traffic. We won't be able to get through for a while."
Chen Mo saw the thick smoke rising from the bridge ahead and frowned, "A car is on fire. Lao Gou's hospital is the closest; they should arrive first."
Their location was very close to the accident site, already on the bridge.
Suddenly, someone started shouting along the road.
"Help! Help! A car is about to explode, there are kids and two adults inside!"
Chen Mo instinctively opened the car door but was held back by Xi Siyan.
"I'll go. Wait here."
"Together," Chen Mo said, "Let's see if we can help."
Xi Siyan paused for a moment but didn't object. He opened the car door and got out.
Apart from them, many others were also rushing towards the accident site.
Upon getting closer, they found that the burning car was severely damaged. Someone had already rescued the child from the crushed car, but the couple was still inside. The wife's leg was trapped, and the husband was unconscious with blood on his forehead.
The backseat was too dangerous to approach, and the smell of burning filled the air, making everyone hesitate.
Cries, shouts, and honking mixed into chaos.
Someone said, "It's hopeless, really hopeless, the fire is too big."
"Move back! Everyone move back!"
Xi Siyan used a bottle of water to wet his jacket and rushed over, covering the front handle of the car. For a moment, everyone fell silent, but soon a few more people joined him.
The husband was pulled out first.
Rescuing the wife was more difficult. The fire spread rapidly, almost reaching their faces. When Chen Mo handed tools to Xi Siyan, he glanced back at him without saying anything.
Xi Siyan reached in and pried the steel plate trapping the woman's ankle. As he exerted force, the deformed door began to rebound. Without hesitation, Chen Mo stuck his foot in to hold it open.
Blood dripped from the wound caused by the sharp edges, and Chen Mo noticed Xi Siyan's pause. "It's okay."
The atmosphere was tense.
The surroundings were chaotic, with many cars around, but everyone kept a distance, watching from afar. About seven or eight people remained near the burning car.
Ten seconds, nine seconds, eight seconds...
Finally, the steel plate loosened, and the woman was dragged out by the others waiting nearby.
Xi Siyan stood up and scanned the area, "Run!"
Boom! At the moment of the explosion, everyone had run a safe distance away but still felt the shockwave.
Those closest to the scene experienced a piercing ringing in their ears.
Xi Siyan held the person tightly beneath him, seeing the fragment wound on Chen Mo's forehead.
"Are you okay?" He could see Chen Mo's slightly nervous expression, and he understood what he was asking as he saw his lips move.
He shook his head but felt a loud noise in his mind.
Voices that did not belong to him, like overhearing someone else's conversation, kept alternating and flashing through his mind.
—That Chen Mo in our class is really annoying, always acting indifferent towards everyone.
—Brother Yan, I heard Li Rui is causing trouble for Chen Mo again. You warned him last time not to cause trouble in our class, but he clearly didn't listen.
—The decision to go abroad has been finalized; there's no room for negotiation.
—Chen Mo? I heard he messed up his math exam. Why are you asking about him? With his ambitions, he'll eventually take over the Yang family business.
—The person in charge of this project cooperation with the Yang family is their vice president, named Chen Mo.
—Mr. Xi, we just received news that Mr. Chen has probably met with an accident.
—The forensic doctor announced on-site that it was... immediate death.
