Chapter 19 This is a Tragic Side Story

In fact, everything originated from a sad story.

It’s unclear what flaw it was, but back then, Zhuo Fan had a bigger imagination than others since childhood, with an incredibly strong ability to self-fantasize. The poor little Zhuo Fan also suffered from an incurable condition called "Chūnibyō (Middle School Syndrome)," and as the condition progressed, it became increasingly uncontrollable, eventually turning into a terminal illness—Prince Complex.

The only consolation was that this condition was recessive.

Zhuo Fan first met Xiao Han during his high school years. Since he lived on campus, he rarely left the school grounds, and usually bought things online.

At some point, Zhuo Fan noticed that every Saturday, a beautifully arranged bouquet of flowers would appear at the dormitory door, lying there quietly.

Although he acted indifferent and disdainful, throwing the flowers into the trash, he was secretly pleased. After all, the thrill of being secretly admired was delightful, and he began to secretly look forward to Saturdays every week.

One Saturday, he woke up early, ignoring his only roommate Wu Gu’s strong dissatisfaction at being woken up. He pretended to carry a bucket of clothes that should have been washed the day before into the bathroom, leaving the dormitory door slightly open. While pretending to wash clothes, he stealthily watched the door, from which he could see the hallway through the crack.

Around 8 o’clock, a tall figure approached quickly, bent down, and gently placed a bouquet of flowers. Just as he was about to leave, the dormitory door was suddenly pulled open.

Zhuo Fan held the door, struggling to appear cold and aloof, looking up at the handsome man who was a head taller than him. In reality, he was too nervous to speak.

Xiao Han was slightly surprised and was about to say something when the other person suddenly slammed the door shut. Confused, he scratched his head and then left.

This situation continued for about a month.

Every Saturday, Zhuo Fan would "accidentally" catch Xiao Han delivering the flowers. He secretly wondered when Xiao Han would finally confess to him. He imagined it would happen on a morning after the rain, with a rainbow and colorful clouds in the sky. Xiao Han would knock on his door with a large bouquet of roses, smiling gently and saying, "Little Fan, I like you."

Zhuo Fan fantasized and anticipated this every day. Unfortunately, the guy named Xiao Han seemed completely clueless, always leaving in a hurry after delivering the flowers.

Until one day, he finally snapped and stopped Xiao Han, who was about to leave again, saying coldly, "Hey, what’s the deal with you sending me flowers every time? Don’t you realize it’s bothering me?"

Xiao Han looked at him in confusion, "...What?"

Seeing him act clueless, Zhuo Fan was furious. He pointed at the bouquet and said, "Take it back, I don’t want it!" He snatched the flowers and threw them back into Xiao Han’s arms, then turned and ran down the hallway, disappearing around the corner.

In reality, he didn’t run far. He was worried that Xiao Han wouldn’t find him if he chased after him. He hid around the corner, listening intently for any sound, thinking arrogantly, "If you come after me right now, apologize, and confess, I might reluctantly forgive you."

But after waiting for a long time, Xiao Han didn’t come. Frustrated, he peeked out cautiously.

Xiao Han was still standing there because the dormitory door opened again. Wu Gu, yawning and half-asleep, looked at him and asked, "What’s up?"

    "Are you Wu Gu?"

    "Yeah."

Xiao Han handed the flowers over expressionlessly and said calmly, "I’m the delivery guy. Your flowers were ruined by some random guy who showed up out of nowhere. My apologies."

    Wu Gu: "..."

    Zhuo Fan: "..."

Zhuo Fan, frozen in shock, watched as Xiao Han quickly disappeared downstairs, riding a small electric scooter, pulling other deliveries behind him, and leaving without looking back. He was just working a part-time job and had to return to university for classes in the afternoon—he was busy, okay.

And then, there was no "and then."

Zhuo Fan, who had fallen out of love before his first love even began, felt utterly humiliated. He was heartbroken, furious, and in pain. He felt like the whole world was laughing at him, especially that flower-delivering jerk! Why were the flowers for Wu Gu? They were supposed to be for him!

He felt the malice of the world!

He needed to vent, to take revenge on the scumbag who had shattered his crystal heart. He wanted Xiao Han and that flower-delivering guy to regret what they had done today!

Zhuo Fan smirked as he returned to the dormitory, casually asking his roommate, "Who sent the flowers?"

"Oh, my boyfriend, Wen Muyan," the roommate replied nonchalantly, lying back in bed to catch some more sleep, mumbling the answer.

With a grimace, Zhuo Fan opened his computer and clicked on a folder titled "Script Outline," where he wrote down the names of the antagonist and the expendable character. In his excitement, he didn’t notice Sogou input had typed "Wen Muyan."

As the saying goes, one flower, one world. On the day a complete script is born, a parallel world is also created. Xiao Han and Wen Muyan, drawn into these parallel worlds by Zhuo Fan's bizarre imagination, might never understand how they got there. But that didn’t stop them from living their comfortable lives.

But whenever they chatted about it, Wen Muyan always felt a slight ache in his knees.

So, everything stemmed from a sad story, especially for Wen Muyan, who inexplicably disliked Sogou input.

After Zhuo Fan disappeared that day, no one seemed surprised. The whole world seemed to accept this bizarre event on its own, as if this person had never existed.

The priest was still officiating the wedding on stage, and the relatives and friends were still celebrating in the audience, only the groom had changed.

Wen Muyan and Xiao Han took the opportunity to publicly announce their relationship during this wedding.

There were doubts from all corners of society, but they didn’t care.

After the wedding, Xiao Han resumed his role as the CEO of an entertainment company. Although the work was busy, thanks to the success of the script and the capable and loyal Xian Fu, his career was thriving.

As for Wen Muyan, he was excelling in the entertainment industry. Apart from the controversy surrounding his coming out, his acting skills were absolutely impeccable. Whenever people commented on this, Wen Muyan felt somewhat helpless. After all, he was once a man who treated life as a performance.

One day, Xiao Han was surprised to find Wen Muyan at home.

"Are you on strike?" Xiao Han took off his coat and tie, throwing them on the sofa, glancing at the guy crouched on the sofa with a laptop, playing games.

"My contract is up for renewal, and I don’t want to renew it," Wen Muyan said as he saw Xiao Han return. He took off his headphones, let go of the mouse, and hooked his arms around the man's neck, giving him a kiss.

Immediately, Xiao Han heard a roar from the headphones: "Healer, heal! Why aren’t you healing? I’m about to die! Quick, heal! Healer, why aren’t you moving? Healer, are you still alive?!"

Xiao Han watched his game interface with interest, kindly reminding him, "Hey, your teammate seems to be about to die."

"This guy stole my gear, so I’m not healing him. And I’m a doctor, not a healer," Wen Muyan hung the headphones around his neck, grumbling for a while, then leisurely healed the others and himself, blatantly letting the roaring emperor die.

"Aren’t you going to do anything?" After the dungeon was cleared, Wen Muyan, just teleported out of the map, found that the roaring emperor had left the party and turned red. Without a word, he changed his skill set and equipment, charging straight at him to take him down.

Xiao Han hugged him on the sofa, saying indifferently, "If you don’t want to renew, then don’t. I’ll take care of you."

"Who said I need you to take care of me!" Wen Muyan turned around and glared at him, "Don’t you want me to sign with your company?"

"That won’t do," Xiao Han replied seriously, "As the saying goes, a rabbit doesn’t eat the grass near its burrow. I’m a man of principle."

    "..."

But in the end, when he saw a table full of spinach for dinner, Xiao Han reluctantly agreed.

After joining M Company, Xiao Han arranged Wen Muyan's work to be quite relaxed for various reasons. Life went on leisurely, and for a while, Wen Muyan became obsessed with League of Legends. Every night when Xiao Han returned home and opened the study door, he would see this guy playing LoL.

Xiao Han smiled strangely and brought home a Samoyed the next day, naming it Lulu. He carried it around in front of Wen Muyan, kissing and petting it, just ignoring Wen Muyan.

So Wen Muyan got angry. Taking advantage of Xiao Han's absence during work hours, he cut Lulu's white fur short and kicked it aside. Then he secretly bought a pair of fluffy ears and a fluffy tail to wear himself, ignoring Lulu's silent sobbing in the corner.

When Xiao Han returned from work and opened the door, he saw Wen Muyan with ears and a tail crouching on the sofa. Seeing him home, Wen Muyan happily and coquettishly called out, "Woof!"

Xiao Han was instantly scared out of his wits.

Since the arrival of Lulu at home, Wen Muyan no longer wanted to play LoL. Unfortunately, Xiao Han, who was on annual leave and had nothing to do, started to get hooked on online games.

Even more unfortunately, under the influence of the script, Xiao Han, who could govern a country, lead battles, run a company, and even dabble in the underworld, turned out to be completely inept at games, with gaming talent as negative as his sense of decency.

One day, Xiao Han dragged Wen Muyan into teaching him how to play the game.

"Huh, why is my DPS always the lowest?" Xiao Han poked at the statistics plugin on the screen, grumbling unhappily.

While rolling his eyes, Wen Muyan carefully explained the rotation, and the clever Xiao Han immediately patted his chest, claiming he had it down.

"Hahaha, I surpassed him!" Xiao Han glanced smugly at Wen Muyan, then taunted in the party chat, "Your DPS is even lower than mine!"

Hearing this, Wen Muyan leaned over in surprise and said helplessly, "He's the tank, dude..."

"How do I increase my DPS? Teach me again." Xiao Han refused to believe it.

Wen Muyan was furious: "If I teach you again, I'll go drink shit!"

Xiao Han looked at him expressionlessly and said weakly, "Doctor, I think my IQ can still be saved..."

By the time they finally finished the dungeon, Wen Muyan had already drunk a pot of shit.

    ...

Life went on, and the script continued to be written, but the scripts of Xiao Han and Wen Muyan were now entirely under their own control.

As for Zhuo Fan, who cares about him?

He’s still hiding in some corner, plotting to take revenge on society.

Who will be his next target?

His lifeless, ashen eyes are fixed on you in front of the screen, and then he reveals a twisted smile.

Author's note: Randomly written epilogue: Don’t doubt it, the previous chapter was the ending. This extra chapter is just a little supplement to the whole story. The synopsis said it was a revenge story, so of course, there’s no proper ending, right? ╮(╯▽╰)╭ Want to see a proper ending? Zhuo Fan Fan will satisfy you! "Staring at Xiao Gong and Wen Shou, they didn’t go back. As for their previous identities, well, that’s not the point. Someone asked what the script really is. Actually, the script is Zhuo Fan Fan. Just get the spirit of it, XD. There’s not much more to follow, just a happy (and various kinds of silly) married life. If I’m in the mood, I’ll write it →_→
