Chapter 36
byChapter 36
Xu Yan was too slow to react, his mind foggy from alcohol. He could only blink, looking dazed and innocent and unaware of what he had just done.
Wen Sinian gripped his wrist and brought it closer to his own face, his voice rough. "Hit me again."
Xu Yan had no strength in his hand, his fingers limp as they were held. He didn’t want to hit anyone, but he couldn’t pull his hand back either. He let out a small, pitiful whimper.
Wen Sinian still didn’t let go. Instead, he slid his fingers up the slender wrist, enveloping the delicate, limp hand. He gave it a casual squeeze, then slowly dragged it from his cheek to the corner of his lips.
No slap followed this time.
So he extended his tongue, placing a light, wet kiss to the soft palm.
His breath was hot, damp and searing.
From the palm, to the base of the fingers, then slowly trailing up to the trembling, snow-white fingertips.
Slow and deliberate, covering them in wet heat.
Xu Yan’s eyes were fully open now, gazing in disbelief at the scene before him.
He—he was licking his hand…
It felt so hot.
And ticklish too.
His fingers felt foreign. Beyond the damp warmth enveloping them, Xu Yan couldn’t perceive anything else.
His cheeks flushed even redder with shame and discomfort. He parted his lips slightly, voice quivering like he’d been wronged. "D-don’t lick anymore…"
Those dark eyes stayed locked on him, the dim light casting shadows from the side.
Xu Yan grew frightened under that gaze, tears automatically welling at the corners of his eyes.
His hand was finally released, freed from the grip. Xu Yan quickly pulled it back under the blanket, afraid it might be grabbed again.
Wen Sinian licked his lips, his eyes dark with unsatisfied hunger. He leaned down again, pinning him through the blanket, fingers tangling in the soft strands of hair.
"Didn’t I tell you not to drink with others outside?" Wen Sinian brushed the stray hairs away from Xu Yan’s forehead, revealing his dazed eyes underneath. "Why didn’t you listen?"
Xu Yan couldn’t think straight. He mumbled incoherently, "I should listen."
Wen Sinian: "Then did you?"
Xu Yan nodded obediently. "I listened."
There was no talking sense to this drunk little thing. Wen Sinian tugged at the corner of his lips, pinching Xu Yan’s cheeks and forcing his soft, pink lips apart.
The alcohol on his breath grew stronger between their breaths.
Wen Sinian held his face firmly, not letting him turn away. His nose nearly touched Xu Yan’s as he inhaled deeply, drinking in the intoxicating scent that set his blood aflame.
"Do you know who I am?"
Xu Yan’s lips puckered, confused by such a simple question. His words slurred, "I know."
"Say it."
Xu Yan answered honestly, "Senior Wen."
Wen Sinian’s voice lowered. "And?"
Xu Yan frowned, as if recalling something frightening, on the verge of tears.
"Year…" He sniffled. "You’re… Year…"
Satisfied with the answer, Wen Sinian worked his cheeks, coaxing out a shiny trail of spit that trickled down the corner of his lips, warm as it trailed down.
"Good boy," Wen Sinian chuckled. "How’d you know? So clever."
Xu Yan couldn’t explain clearly, just making small whimpering noises. His cheeks hurt from the pinching, his mouth numb, couldn't stop the drool.
His upper body was pinned, unable to move. He could only kick his legs slightly.
But he accidentally bumped his previously sprained ankle, sending pain shooting that instantly brought tears to his eyes.
"It hurts…"
A pitiful whine.
Wen Sinian immediately withdrew his hands. Though he hadn’t used much force, Xu Yan’s cheeks were flushed deeper, his lips and delicate chin shiny with moisture.
Taking in that disheveled sight, the veins on the back of Wen Sinian’s hand, braced against the mattress, bulged violently, like they might pop.
Jaw clenched with frightening control, he asked, "Where does it hurt?"
Xu Yan felt the pressure ease. He quickly burrowed deeper under the blanket, hiding even his head, leaving only a few strands of hair peeking out.
Wen Sinian hadn’t expected him to hide so fast. He pulled the blanket down and asked seriously, "Tell me where it hurts. Don’t hide."
Under the covers, Xu Yan’s face was flushed, but his eyes were wide and bright. After a pause, he accused, "My foot hurts…"
Wen Sinian regained some rationality. He had noticed Xu Yan’s sprained ankle when helping him back earlier.
He got up from the bed and searched the room, but found no medicine.
Returning to the bedside, he found Xu Yan had tugged the blanket over the lower half of his face again, leaving only his eyes exposed.
"I’ll go downstairs to get medicine. Don't go to sleep yet, wait for me, okay?"
Xu Yan murmured, "You'll come back?"
Wen Sinian ran fingers through his hair. "I’ll be right back."
Xu Yan nodded. "Okay."
Wen Sinian opened the door and went downstairs.
Most students were still out partying on the beach, with just a few worn-out ones heading back to rest.
A handful of people sat on the living room couch, playing games.
Zheng Yao spotted Wen Sinian coming down and called out excitedly, "Wen-ge!"
Wen Sinian ignored him, making a beeline for the TV cabinet to search. Coming up empty, he straightened up and asked, "Where’s the first aid kit?"
Zheng Yao set down his phone. "I know where it is - side cabinet."
Zheng Yao found it and handed it to Wen Sinian, who muttered flatly, "Thanks."
Then, carrying the medical kit, he went back upstairs.
Zheng Yao watched his receding figure, sensing something off about his earlier demeanor.
His hair was slightly disheveled, his eyes dark, his voice hoarse, and his usually cold, handsome face now bore an unnaturally vivid color on his thin lips—adding an ambiguous, almost seductive aura.
To put it bluntly, he looked like he was consumed by lust.
But he distinctly remembered that the person sharing a room with Wen Sinian was Xu Yan, his underclassman.
Wen Sinian returned to the room in just two or three minutes, only to find the person on the bed already fast asleep.
The blanket still covered half his face, his breathing labored, yet he had fallen asleep completely unguarded.
Wen Sinian didn’t get mad, only vowing never to let him drink out of his sight again.
He took out the aerosol bottle from the medical kit, testing it on the back of his own hand before gently lifting the blanket and taking hold of a slender ankle.
He had seen it countless times in photos, but now it was right there in front of him.
He hadn’t drunk much, yet his pulse hammered in his temples.
He was slipping control.
Rolling up the loose pant leg slightly, he quickly sprayed the medicine on the sprained ankle, then rubbed it gently with his warm palm.
The pressure was perfect—enough to let the medicine work without causing pain.
Xu Yan was indeed being tended to comfortably. The pain faded, replaced by a mix of coolness and warmth.
A pleasant sensation spread through him, and his eyelashes quivered faintly in his sleep.
After massaging the ankle, the large hand didn’t pull back. Having gotten a little, it became bolder, sliding up along the smooth skin.
Smooth and delicate, fitting perfectly in his palm.
Then, it touched something warm—the silver chain.
A butterfly leg chain.
Wen Sinian pushed the pant leg higher, exposing exactly what was in the photos.
No, the beauty and impact before him were a hundred times more intense.
His steady breath caught, his pupils dilating sharply.
Finally, he didn’t have to just trace it with his eyes. He could touch it, inhale its scent.
Greedy and out of control.
Gentle yet ruthless.
Completely shameless.
His slender fingers, shaking with need, tightened, then loosened.
His knuckles would bury into the yielding warmth, only to be pushed back out.
Perhaps because it had been worn all day, the silver chain gleamed warmly in the dim light, the skin beneath it even bearing angry red marks from friction.
With every slight movement of the leg, it trembled delicately—helplessly tempting.
Wen Sinian’s heart stuttered. He knelt on one knee by the bed, lifting the sleeper’s calf and leaning down.
A series of hot, damp kisses dotted along the skin.
Xu Yan felt as if he had wandered into a tropical rainforest—everything was humid and oppressive.
A thick, massive python had fixed its gaze on him, its tail coiling around his legs, tighter and tighter, its forked tongue flicking near his ear. Danger coiled close, ready to swallow him whole at any moment.
Once devoured, it would slowly savor him piece by piece.
No.
He didn’t want to be eaten by the python.
He struggled against the damp, constricting coils, his foot accidentally landing on something searing hot, almost burning his skin.
He tried to pull his leg back, but his ankle was seized.
Wen Sinian had pushed his pant leg up to the thigh, trapping his thrashing foot against his own chest.
Pressing closer.
Xu Yan couldn’t move. Uncomfortable, he slowly opened his eyes, meeting a gaze dark with want.
Wen Sinian’s lashes threw delicate shadows over the bridge of his nose.
Staring at the swollen, pink lips so close to him, he breathed out softly, "Baby."
Xu Yan knew he was being called, but he was still groggy from sleep. He pressed his lips together and responded with a soft, "Mm..."
Wen Sinian asked, "Can I kiss you?"
Xu Yan mulled over.
Why kiss?
Where?
Is it okay?
Can he refuse?
He didn’t quite understand, but his hand had already been kissed, and his legs had been tangled by the python’s tail—he’d nearly been eaten.
So he parted his lips and mumbled sleepily, "No..."
But the moment his lips opened, a hot breath rushed in, licking along the seam of his mouth.
Xu Yan immediately snapped his mouth closed, covering them with both hands, his eyes widening as they glistened with unshed tears, his cheeks flaming red.
He had clearly said no.
Had he been misunderstood?
Wen Sinian found his reaction heart-stoppingly cute. He kissed the back of his hand again, smiling. "You’re still wearing the anklet. So obedient."
Xu Yan kept staring at him. Wasn't Wen Sinian the one who had ordered him to wear it these past two days without taking it off?
Wen Sinian seemed to read his thoughts, grabbing one of his hands and placing it on his own chest, dragging it down over his muscles.
He whispered by his ear, "I'm wearing a chest chain too. Wanna inspect it, baby?"
Even through the fabric, Xu Yan could feel the ridged chain digging into his palm, wrapped around the expanse of his chest.
Xu Yan hesitated, tilting his head before nodding.
If Wen Sinian had inspected his, he deserved to inspect Wen's too.
Wen Sinian took his hand and guided it under the hem of his shirt.
Led by his touch, Xu Yan moved up and down, patting down every inch.
Wen Sinian had it on right, even more carefully than he did.
"Okay..."
He had already seen it in the photos, so why did they need to—
Do this whole pat-down?
Xu Yan felt it was enough and tried to pull his hand back, but Wen Sinian gently held it in place, pinning it flush against his skin, not allowing even the slightest retreat.
The chain had gone warm from his touch, yet it still made his palm itch.
Xu Yan was burning up, the alcohol in his system reacting violently, like forcing green fruit to blush too fast.
Did someone crank the heat in the room? Otherwise, why did he feel so unbearably hot—so hot he could liquefy?
He kicked his legs free, exposing them to the air.
......
Finally, he managed to withdraw his hand.
But his slender fingers trailed downward, hooking onto the leg chain instead, playfully hiking it up.
......
Half-conscious, Xu Yan got hauled from the bed and pulled into an embrace, his lips parting unconsciously as he let out drunk little noises.
He was drunk—he needed something to sober him up.
But the one who had promised to take care of him was now holding him close, teasing him instead.
Such a fucking tease.
Wen Sinian towered over him like some god, holding the power of life and death, controlling his position so that with just a slight tilt of his head, he could reach those soft lips.
Yet he drew near tenderly, purring like it was some polite request, "Can I kiss you, baby?"
Xu Yan tilted his face up to look at him, his wet eyelashes catching light.
He was always like this—laying on the sweet talk, calling him "baby" over and over, that rough whisper pouring straight into his veins, leaving him dazed and disoriented.
And then, he would become putty in his hands for whatever was asked of him.
Xu Yan thought, if he just took one damn kiss, maybe he would let him go.
Maybe then the inspection would finally end.
He was cooking alive in his own skin, about to steam right out of existence. If only this could end quickly, if he'd just let him pass out already.
So, with a wet little sniff, he whined out, speaking with a tone full of grievance.
