Chapter 54
byChapter 54
Xu Yan mused silently, *He must really love seeing me in skirts, considering how many photos he asked for when we were dating online.*
But ever since they became a couple in real life, he’d never once brought it up again. Those little skirts of his were still locked away in his closet.
His senior had warned him that men easily change once they’re together—once they’ve got you, they stop cherishing you.
*Could he be the same?*
Xu Yan’s thoughts spiraled, his face an open book as he gazed expectantly at Wen Sinian, waiting for an answer.
But Wen Sinian remained silent, his face half-hidden in shadow, his eyes dark and unreadable as he gazed intently at Xu Yan.
It was as if he was trying to discern whether the seriousness on Xu Yan’s face was a fleeting whim or a deeply considered decision.
Under that gaze, Xu Yan felt utterly exposed, as if he were being held in someone’s palm, meticulously examined, dissected, and analyzed.
Then, that gaze drifted lower, slowly tracing the line of his parted thighs.
Wen Sinian could almost recall the contours from those photos—the slender waist wrapped in various little skirts, the fair, delicate legs, the pretty pink knees, those thighs—slender yet yielding…
He didn’t just want to see them with his own eyes; he wanted to tear those skirts off Xu Yan with his own hands.
Time was short. The lights would go out in ten minutes.
Wen Sinian’s voice was hoarse. “Let’s get out first.”
Xu Yan hadn’t expected that answer. His first time taking the initiative, and it felt like a rejection.
Seeing Xu Yan hadn’t moved, Wen Sinian patted him. “We’ll talk later.”
But back in the dorm, other roommates would be present, and the lights would soon be out. What more could they say?
Xu Yan still climbed off Wen Sinian’s lap, opened the car door himself, and walked towards the dorm building with his head down.
Wen Sinian locked the car and followed him.
They entered the dorm one after the other.
Li Huaiche and Zhao Qingji had already finished their evening routines and were chatting at the table.
“Wen-ge, I thought you weren’t coming back tonight. And Yan Yan, what kept you out so late?”
Xu Yan: “I went out to eat with a friend. It got a bit late.”
With that, he grabbed his toiletries and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
As he brushed his teeth and washed his face, he fumed silently. *This jerk. He won’t say he wants to see it, but he won’t say he doesn’t either. Just stringing me along like this.*
*I’m never taking the initiative to wear a skirt for him again.*
Exactly at eleven, the bathroom light suddenly went out.
At the same time, Xu Yan heard footsteps outside the door.
*Click.* The door opened.
The next second, a tall, dark silhouette appeared in the doorway, silent and still, as if watching him.
Xu Yan recognized Wen Sinian instantly. His heart clenched—*this is the dorm!* The voices of the other two outside were still clearly audible.
He had just rinsed the soap off his face and quickly wiped it, ready to grab his things and leave.
But the figure in the doorway blocked his path, pushing him back by the waist and pulling him further inside.
This time, the lock clicked softly into place.
Xu Yan’s mind went blank with nerves. In his panic, he fumbled to turn on his phone’s flashlight, but before he could even lift it to illuminate the space, two hands suddenly cupped his buttocks, lifting him effortlessly onto the bathroom counter. His back pressed against the mirror.
His legs were spread, and the figure forcefully wedged himself between them.
The phone was placed on the counter beside them, its flashlight illuminating their bodies.
Xu Yan tried to slide off the counter, but a hand gripped the crease of his thigh. Wen Sinian lowered his eyes. “Don’t move.”
Xu Yan kept his voice hushed. “They’ll hear us outside.”
Wen Sinian leaned in, murmuring helpfully, “Then you’ll have to keep quiet. Don’t let them find out what we’re doing in here.”
Xu Yan bit his lower lip, not daring to let out even a whimper.
Wen Sinian caressed his damp cheeks before bending down to kiss him.
The kiss that had been interrupted in the car could finally be finished.
But with others just outside, they couldn’t linger.
When Wen Sinian finally pulled away, he let Xu Yan lean against his chest to catch his breath.
Xu Yan could no longer hear the voices outside—only the pounding of his own heartbeat, and Wen Sinian’s.
“Baby,” Wen Sinian lifted him off the counter and smoothed his clothes, “I remember your promise about wearing a skirt for me.”
Xu Yan blinked. He had thought Wen Sinian didn’t actually want to see it.
Wen Sinian pressed close to his ear, his voice barely audible. “It’s not convenient in the dorm. Next time, I’ll take you out.”
He exhaled, his voice thick with longing. “Baby, you have no idea how much I want to see it.”
*Enough to drive me crazy.*
……
Xu Yan finally managed to leave the bathroom, his face burning. Thankfully, the lights were out, masking his blush. Taking advantage of the fact that Li Huaiche and Zhao Qingji were still chatting, he scrambled into bed.
A while later, he heard the bathroom door open again.
Xu Yan buried his face deep in the blankets, clutching his stuffed rabbit tightly as he restlessly shifted, unable to sleep.
*What was Wen Sinian doing in there for so long?* He didn’t dare think too hard about it. But Wen Sinian had said he wanted to see him in a skirt.
He mentally reviewed the skirts he already owned—he'd already worn them all.
*Which one should he wear next?*
After some thought, Xu Yan texted Shang Jia asking for her advice.
Shang Jia: *You’re asking me about skirts out of the blue? Thought you abandoned that account?*
Shang Jia: *Awww, Yan Yan, who are you dressing up for?!*
Xu Yan: “Not for anybody, I was just curious.”
Shang Jia: *It’s for Wen Sinian, isn’t it?*
It was so obvious.
Shang Jia: *I have one that’s perfect for you. I’ll bring it to you tomorrow.*
Keeping her promise, Shang Jia showed up to meet Xu Yan at noon the next day with a bag.
She even used a black bag to hide it, as if afraid someone might see, and mysteriously shoved it into Xu Yan's arms: "Look at it when no one's around."
Xu Yan was dying of curiosity—what kind of scandalous dress was this?
After lunch, he returned to the dorm. His roommates were out, and Wen Sinian had gone to the studio. Only then did he secretly take the dress out of the black bag.
It turned out to be a black-and-white maid outfit. The skirt was so short it would barely cover his hips, leaving his butt exposed, with large cutouts at the chest and back. The corset pulled his waist in tight, with open sides that looked like they were made for someone to slip their hands in and grip his slender waist.
Underneath was a thong, paired with black stockings and delicate thigh garters.
Xu Yan took one glance and immediately stuffed the dress back into the bag.
This... this was unwearable...
He tossed the black bag into his closet and shut it with a bang.
*
The short film they had submitted for the competition soon entered its first round of judging. Just as Shen Nanli had predicted, it was open to public voting.
As soon as the voting began, Xu Yan's team took the lead, thanks in no small part to Wen Sinian's popularity.
But as the film spread, word of its quality grew, and the votes were no longer just about popularity—their short film was head and shoulders above the rest, quickly leaving others in the dust.
After the first round of voting, Xu Yan's team advanced to the second round of expert judging with a clear first place.
Their professor summoned the three of them for a meeting, informing them that the judging committee had already taken notice of their film and wanted to recommend it early for an international student microfilm festival.
The three of them were thrilled. Just being selected for the festival was an incredible honor—an international competition, no less! Winning wasn't the point; the real reward was the unprecedented recognition their film had received.
When Xu Yan returned to the dorm, Wen Sinian and Li Huaiche were there too. Hearing that their film was going to an international festival, Wen Sinian was just as happy for him.
He had seen firsthand how much effort Xu Yan had poured into the project.
Xu Yan was so thrilled that his face was glowing with joy, his eyes sparkling—absolutely captivating.
If not for the two glaring "third wheels" in the room, Wen Sinian would have pulled him into his arms and kissed him silly.
Li Huaiche added excitedly, "What a coincidence! We’ve got good news too—the prize money from our competition in Europe just came in. This year was super competitive, so the prize money doubled! Wen promised to take us all out once the money came through. Wen, you can’t back out now!"
"Of course," Wen Sinian said, glancing at Xu Yan and the others. "Want to come along?"
Li Huaiche added, "Yeah! We all helped out with Yan Yan’s film too—let’s celebrate your international debut early!"
Xu Yan, feeling embarrassed, humbly said, "It’s just being shown at the festival—we probably won’t win anything. Barely qualifies as 'international debut.'"
Li Huaiche brushed him off. "Still amazing! How many people even get their films shown? And since finals haven’t started yet, now’s the perfect time. Zheng Yao and I were dying to go diving in Hong Kong—it’s warm there now. Have you guys been before? If not, come with us! Wen's loaded anyway."
Wen Sinian’s gaze lingered on Xu Yan, a slight smile on his lips as he asked, "Xu Yan, coming?"
Xu Yan hesitated, thinking about his pile of unfinished assignments. Lately, he’d been splitting his time between classes and the library. Even though he and Wen Sinian shared a dorm, they only saw each other at night—stealing kisses and hugs in the bathroom.
For Wen Sinian, this was agonizing.
Too much repression needed an outlet.
And now, the perfect opportunity had come.
None of the three had been to Hong Kong before. Shen Nanli’s eyes lit up at the mention of diving, he was practically drooling. He glanced at Zhao Qingji, who looked equally tempted. The two of them flanked Xu Yan, staring at him until he gave in.
Under the pressure, Xu Yan finally nodded.
Their Thursday and Friday classes were already over, and the following Monday was an off day. Combined with the weekend, they could make it a five-day trip—plenty of time for Hong Kong.
While packing, Xu Yan even packed his laptop, planning to work on assignments in the hotel at night.
Wen Sinian packed light too. In front of Xu Yan, he opened his closet door.
Xu Yan spotted the various dresses inside and panicked, afraid Li Huaiche or Zhao Qingji might turn around and see. He hurried over to block the closet, whispered reproachfully, "What are you doing?"
Wen Sinian reached into the closet, pulling out a nicely wrapped paper bag from between the dresses. Then, holding Xu Yan’s hand, he slowly closed the door.
"Packing," Wen Sinian said, deliberately squeezing Xu Yan’s hand in his palm with a smirk. "What did you think I was doing?"
Xu Yan pulled his hand back. "I didn’t think anything—"
Okay, fine. He’d thought Wen Sinian was packing a dress for him.
As if reading his mind, Wen Sinian slid the paper bag into his hands when no one was looking.
Leaning in, he murmured, "Put it in your bag. Open it later."
Just then, Zhao Qingji called Xu Yan’s name. Startled, Xu Yan quickly took the bag and stuffed it into his backpack without looking before turning to answer.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Wen Sinian step onto the balcony to take a call.
After finishing his packing, Xu Yan opened his closet. The black bag containing the maid dress still lay at the bottom. He hesitated but ultimately left it there, going to the bathroom for his toiletries.
He could faintly hear Wen Sinian’s phone conversation—something about a hospital transfer, tests, treatment plans, and fees.
Xu Yan paused. Last time, when Wen Sinian had mentioned transferring his grandmother to a hospital in the city for treatment, he hadn’t been making empty promises. He was actually making it happen.
When Xu Yan stepped out of the bathroom, Wen Sinian had just hung up. Seeing Xu Yan staring at him, Wen Sinian said, "The transfer’s all arranged. We can finalize the paperwork soon. Don’t worry—I’ll have someone bring your grandmother from Wuzhen and get her settled. Once we’re back from Hong Kong, you can see her here."
Xu Yan’s lips parted. Meeting Wen Sinian’s gentle gaze, he suddenly felt his eyes grew hot, his throat tight with unspoken words.
Blinking back the redness in his eyes, he whispered, "Thank you..."
Wen Sinian ached to hold him but could only give a tender smile. "You’re welcome."
Then, silently, he mouthed: "Baby."
Before boarding the flight to Hong Kong, Xu Yan got a call from Dr. Sun, asking if he’d arranged the hospital transfer. When Xu Yan confirmed, Dr. Sun was impressed—it wasn’t easy for a student to secure a bed at the city’s top hospital. He promised to help smooth out the transfer process on their end.
After hanging up, Xu Yan called his grandmother, urging her to cooperate with the hospital arrangements. They’d see each other soon.
Boarding the plane, Xu Yan felt his mood lighten immeasurably, as if the heaviest stone weighing on his heart had been gently lifted, leaving him free of burdens.
As the plane soared into the clouds and reached the skies above the port city, half of the view was a skyline of towering skyscrapers, while the other half was an endless expanse of the vast sea.
The sun was nearly setting, its golden light spilling over the water, turning the waves into a shimmering firelight.
Xu Yan kept his gaze fixed outside the window. Beside him sat Wen Sinian, their hands tightly clasped beneath the seats.
Captivated by the breathtaking view, he tugged at Wen Sinian’s hand and pointed outside, saying, "Look, it’s so beautiful."
Wen Sinian, however, only looked at him and agreed, "Mm, very beautiful."
They had arrived half a day early, and by the time they landed, it was already late.
After checking into the hotel, they found that most of the remaining rooms had been booked by them—only three king-size rooms were left, with the rest being doubles.
One king-size room was given to the only girl in their group, Xiao Xu. Zheng Yao, sharp, immediately handed another room key to Wen Sinian. "There’s one left—let’s draw lots for fairness."
Xu Yan was incredibly lucky and won the last king-size room.
No one else objected, and they all happily headed to their rooms.
To his surprise, Xu Yan discovered his room was an ocean-view room. Pushing open the floor-to-ceiling windows on the balcony, he was greeted by the sight of a sandy beach and the crashing waves of the ocean.
He unpacked and organized his things a bit. He hadn’t brought much—just T-shirts and shorts for the warm weather, along with the paper bag Wen Sinian had given him. At the very bottom of his backpack was the black bag containing the maid dress.
He hadn’t meant to bring it, but on impulse, he had stuffed it in.
Shen Nanli knocked on Xu Yan’s door, and the group headed to the hotel restaurant for dinner. Afterward, they took a short stroll on the beach before returning early to rest, preparing for their boat trip to the island for diving the next day.
Back in his luxurious sea-view room, Xu Yan showered and checked his phone, finding unread messages.
"Hubby": Baby, open the bag.
"Hubby": Didn’t you promise to wear a dress for me?
"Hubby": Just this one, okay?
He remembered the elegant paper bag on the table and walked over to open it slowly, freezing in shock.
It was the revealing white lace bunny outfit Wen Sinian had mentioned buying for him—the one that cost 5,800, which was why it left such an impression.
Xu Yan held the scant fabric up to his chest and glanced in the mirror, his cheeks instantly flushing.
He didn’t even know how to put this thing on.
Compared to the maid dress, this barely counted as clothing—more like lingerie, and the risqué kind at that.
How could he wear this for Wen Sinian? He might as well not wear anything.
The maid dress was at least somewhat modest—it could still be called a dress.
Xu Yan wasn’t one to go back on his word. He took out the little dress from the black bag, along with the belt, leg garter, stockings, and other accessories, laying them out neatly on the bed.
After much hesitation, he decided to try it on first before deciding whether to wear it for Wen Sinian.
And while he was at it, he might as well try on the white lace piece too—wearing it underneath.
Once the maid dress was on, he adjusted the ruffled straps on his shoulders and pulled up the stockings, the stockings clinging tightly to his thighs just above the knees, pressing into soft flesh.
The front of the skirt was manageable, with a cute frilly apron covering most of it, revealing only his thick thighs adorned with leg garters—nothing too revealing.
But the back was a disaster, hardly covering anything.
Xu Yan examined himself in the full-length mirror by the bed, turning around to see his reflection from behind, his ears turning bright red.
This one was slightly better, but not by much.
Neither was acceptable—neither was presentable.
He could even feel the delicate lace chafing uncomfortably against his skin.
He sat on the bed, ready to take the dress off.
Bending down to remove the stockings first, he suddenly heard an odd sound in the room—as if it came from behind a door.
He froze, eyes wide as he looked toward the sound.
Then, the noise grew clearer—the sound of a doorknob turning.
Right in front of him, the door was pushed open from the other side, and a familiar figure stepped through.
It turned out, this king-size room was connected to the one next door, with only this interior door separating them.
Wen Sinian hadn’t expected to walk into such a scene.
His soft, pale skin glowed under the crystal chandelier, the room filled with a fresh, sweet fragrance—likely from a recent shower—irresistibly tempting.
And the person wrapped in the short maid dress looked every bit as delicious as he appeared, his legs clad in black stockings dangling off the edge of the snow-white bed, one foot lightly touching the floor while the other was lifted high, hands already pulling the stockings down past his knees…
Wen Sinian closed the door behind him and walked to the bed under Xu Yan’s stunned gaze.
"You—how did you get here…?"
Xu Yan hadn’t meant for him to see this—or rather, he had initially planned to show him but changed his mind after putting it on.
But now, not only had he been seen, he was also caught in the act, with no way to hide.
"Baby, why are you dressed so prettily?"
Wen Sinian’s eyes smoldered with desire, heat rising from where his fingers gripped Xu Yan’s thighs.
Xu Yan squirmed weakly, unable to break free.
Instead, it only made his soft, pale flesh squirm between Wen Sinian’s fingers, spilling out before being firmly gripped again.
"Stop looking…" Xu Yan was mortified, wishing he could bury himself under the blankets. "Don’t look anymore…"
He tried to cover Wen Sinian’s eyes with his hands, but they were swiftly caught and pinned behind his back.
He arched forward, pulled closer.
"Such a naughty outfit—wasn’t it meant for your husband to see, hm?" Wen Sinian licked the tear-streaked corner of his eye. "Why are you crying already?"
"Baby, save your tears."
He patted Xu Yan’s cheek with his free hand before pushing him onto the bed, his hot breath close, his muscles tense and imposing as he commanded:
"You’ll need them later."
