Chapter 8
byChapter 8
Back in the cell, Lu Cian couldn’t help but vent.
Lu Cian was indeed furious. While a man wouldn’t lose a limb from being groped, his current predicament simply infuriated him.
“Blair, we’re both females! Why would anyone grope a same-sex individual?!”
If Lu Cian couldn’t change this world, he had no choice but to adapt.
He referred to himself as a female—not because he truly accepted this new reality, but because… it would take a long, long time to come to terms with it.
Lu Cian couldn’t fathom why any bug would be interested in another bug’s rear end.
He, for one, would never think of squeezing Blair’s butt.
Or perhaps those female bugs just found it amusing?
After all, back on Earth, Lu Cian had heard that many girls liked to playfully pinch their same-sex friends’ chests and butts, finding the soft feel pleasant.
At the time, he hadn’t seen anything wrong with it.
Applying that logic to the female bugs of this world—aside from their somewhat jarring appearance—didn’t seem… all that strange?
Bullshit!
It’s easy to say when it’s not *your* ass being groped!
Seeing Lu Cian so agitated, Blair figured the inevitable had arrived. He tried to calm him down, “Xiao Lu, don’t get so worked up. Calm down and think about it—we’re females. We’re going to be mounted anyway, so does it matter who does the mounting?”
Lu Cian: “…”
Damn it, why did that almost make sense?!
But the problem was—he didn’t like men!
And he didn’t want to be mounted!
Eighteen years of established life philosophy, values, and worldview couldn’t possibly be shattered overnight just because he transmigrated.
He had lived eighteen years as a male, received eighteen years of male education, and been subtly influenced by male perspectives for eighteen years. Now he was supposed to be a female?
How could he possibly accept that?!
Lu Cian had imagined countless possibilities in his mind, trying to mentally prepare himself.
In the end, he still couldn’t accept it.
“Blair, is there any chance I might actually be a male?”
Blair replied flatly, “Dream on. You can have anything in your dreams.”
Lu Cian: “…Then can I at least stay single for life?”
Blair nodded. “Of course, that’s possible. Provided no other bug takes a liking to you.”
Lu Cian: “…”
Feeling deflated, Lu Cian took a deep breath. “I can refuse.”
Blair continued to dash his hopes. “Have you ever seen a weak arm twist a strong thigh?”
Lu Cian: “…”
Lu Cian buried his face in the bed, his voice muffled, “Even if I refuse, they wouldn’t kill me, would they?”
Blair shook his head. “Of course they won’t kill you. After they’ve had their way, they’ll have plenty of ways to ‘train’ you.”
Lu Cian suddenly jerked his head up, glaring resentfully at Blair. “Can’t you ever wish me well?! You call yourself a good brother, but you won’t even give me a single piece of advice!”
Blair spread his hands helplessly. “I did! I told you to find a powerful patron to protect you. That way, no bug would dare touch you.”
Lu Cian looked utterly defeated. “…How is that any different?”
Blair’s expression turned serious. “Of course it’s different. One is forced, the other is voluntary.”
Lu Cian: “…”
*Heh.* He shouldn’t have placed his hopes on Blair.
*
In the following days, Lu Cian was left undisturbed.
Lu Cian assumed that female bug was probably just like those young girls back on Earth, merely doing it for fun, so he gradually pushed the incident to the back of his mind. He diligently cleaned the prison every day, thinking that once his one-year sentence was up, he could leave and live his own life.
One afternoon during lunch break, Blair told him he wouldn’t be returning to the cell that night and warned Lu Cian to be careful.
Blair was acting shifty and completely unlike his usual self. The sight was so cringeworthy that Lu Cian didn’t bother asking where he was going—and completely forgot Blair’s warning.
It also didn’t occur to him that prisoners could even *leave* the prison.
That night, Lu Cian went to the shower room alone.
He was already very familiar with the place and didn’t need Blair’s company.
He knew how to queue for a shower and had figured out he could brush his teeth at the same time.
Carrying a basin with his newly prison-issued boxers inside, Lu Cian excitedly headed for the shower room.
It felt like the blissful freedom of a child left home alone while the parents were away.
But just as he reached the shower room door, Lu Cian realized he’d forgotten his toothbrush. He casually set the basin on a nearby shelf and turned back to fetch it.
When Lu Cian returned with his toothbrush, he saw a somewhat familiar bug standing at the shower room entrance.
The bug was holding his new boxers—*and sniffing them intensely.*
Lu Cian’s entire body stiffened instantly, goosebumps erupting all over him.
“What the fuck!”
The expletive slipped out before he could stop it.
Then, Lu Cian watched as the bug, despite clearly seeing him, nonchalantly placed the boxers into its own basin.
Finally, it shot Lu Cian a provocative look.
Lu Cian was stunned. *How could such a shameless bug exist in this world?!*
Lu Cian desperately wanted to go up and give the bug a hard slap.
But when Lu Cian looked down at his own 5'11" frame and compared it to the other’s towering 7'6" stature, he faced reality.
“Fuck, are you sick?!” Lu Cian angrily cursed again, clearly showing just how terrible his mood was!
He had once been referred to as “Young Master Lu,” a refined and dignified persona.
Now, he was being forced to swear!
Lu Cian irritably ran a hand through his hair, not even wanting that implicated basin anymore.
He didn’t want to shower either; he felt utterly disgusted.
Just thinking about that scene made Lu Cian feel uncomfortable all over, and he was even more grateful that he had eaten dinner early today, otherwise, he might have thrown up.
“I’m so stupid, really…”
All the way back, Lu Cian kept muttering to himself.
Why hadn’t he taken the basin when he went back? Was he lacking the strength to carry it?
And more importantly.
He had been a complete idiot before!
How could he have thought that a female bug groping his butt was just a joke?!
Heh, truly, heh.
Damn it all!
Damn it all!!!
Today, Lu Cian cursed more than he had in the past decade combined.
Alas, Young Master Lu had been raised with too much decorum; aside from calling the other party lower than pigs and dogs, or worse than beasts, he had no new insults.
At this moment, Lu Cian suddenly remembered a saying: “After three years in the barracks, even a sow looks like Diao Chan!”
To think that one day, he would have the honor of being the “Diao Chan.” *Heh.*
Lu Cian tossed and turned all night, constantly thinking about how to deal with sexual harassment in this alien world.
Yet, after a whole night of deliberation, he still hadn’t come up with a solution and couldn’t help but reconsider Blair’s suggestion.
Was he really going to have to cling to some powerful patron, as the other had said?
By the end of his thoughts, Lu Cian, for the first time, resented his own excellent physical constitution—because it allowed him to drift off to sleep despite himself.
Lu Cian: “…”
Screw it. Let it be. He’d cross that bridge when he came to it. He refused to believe the other party would dare to openly kidnap a civilian male!
Without Blair’s help, Lu Cian had to clean the entire prison by himself and check the facilities in every cell. It was utterly exhausting.
By noon the next day, Blair still hadn’t returned, so Lu Cian had to go eat alone.
In a corner not far away, three tall but shifty-looking female bugs were gathered around a hulking, muscular female bug, talking.
“Boss, we’ve already found out—that female bug named Baker has no powerful connections. Rumor has it he was kidnapped by space pirates, but when they realized he was a deformed bug and couldn’t fetch a good price, they just dumped him on our planet. Luo Ke caught him and locked him up under charges of being an illegal immigrant.”
“Really? I saw him getting along well with Blair, Luo Ke’s little plaything, and Luo Ke seemed to favor him too.” Huai En sounded skeptical.
A lackey chimed in, “Boss, Luo Ke is just a small team leader in the patrol unit outside. Inside the prison, he’s just an ordinary prison guard. We’ve been showing him respect by not touching his pet, but if he thinks he can protect this newcomer too, isn’t that just disrespecting us?”
Huai En’s expression remained indifferent. “Let’s wait a bit longer. Find out which planet he’s from before we deal with him.”
One of the sleazy bugs wouldn’t drop it and winked at Huai En. “Come on, Boss, stop pretending. Last night, you even took one of that kid’s underwear, and he didn’t dare say a word—just slunk away like a coward. Clearly, he’s got no backing. No need to investigate.”
Huai En lightly smacked the bug. “Get out of here, daring to tease me now.”
The slap wasn’t hard, so the sleazy bug just laughed. “So, Boss, do you like him or not? If you don’t make a move soon, the three of us won’t be able to control ourselves!”
“Tch, you’re all so impatient. Who said I didn’t like him?” Huai En lazily glanced at them, but his peripheral vision never left Lu Cian’s figure.
The three lackeys immediately understood their boss’s meaning, thinking that once he got tired of playing with the bug, he’d pass him around.
Just imagining the bug’s hair color, eye color, slender waist, and overall demeanor—the deformed bug didn’t even seem to have wing sacs. If they covered up his bug markings, he’d look no different from a male bug.
They had never seen a male bug in their lives and probably never would. Having such a convincing imitation, even if only for one night, would be enough to remember forever.
At this thought, all three bugs’ breathing grew heavier.
They had heard this deformed bug’s physique was pathetically weak.
But then again, the male elites of their home planet were also famously delicate—so the resemblance was even stronger!
The more they thought about it, the more excited they became, dying to grab the bug and lock him in their cells, never letting another bug lay eyes on him.
Of course, Huai En’s expression was also a little lustful—clearly lost in some unspeakable thoughts.
Meanwhile, Lu Cian remained totally unaware as he walked toward the cafeteria.
He would never have guessed that the bugs secretly coveting him didn’t want to top him—they wanted to be topped by him.
Even if the reality was different from what he imagined, Lu Cian wanted no part of it. He couldn’t stomach such “good fortune.”
When Lu Cian saw the cafeteria doors not far ahead, his mood lifted slightly—until four unwelcome figures appeared beside him.
Instinctively, Lu Cian took a step back, on guard. “What do you want? Is there something you need?”
