Chapter 013 Wedding Ceremony 05
byChapter 013: The Wedding Ceremony 05
Zhou Younan bit into the capsule hidden in his mouth, then reached out and grabbed Wei Qing’s collar.
He rose on his tiptoes, closed his eyes, and pressed his lips against Wei Qing’s.
Wei Qing’s gaze was icy, but his lips were soft. His breath was warm, his body temperature scorching, reminding Zhou Younan of the cozy warmth of an aircraft engine in winter.
A collective gasp rippled through the crowd. Media cameras clicked incessantly, and in the distance, General Henry’s furious roar echoed: “Marshal! Don’t intervene!”
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Zhou Younan had no choice but to resort to this clumsy method—a forced kiss—to ensure Wei Qing ingested the capsule.
He thought this plan was foolproof, but he’d forgotten one crucial thing: what if Wei Qing rejected him, pushed him away, or even struck him?
Zhou Younan’s heart clenched. He peeked open his eyes slightly, only to find himself staring into Wei Qing’s pale green eyes.
Up close, those eyes were unexpectedly clear, brimming with obvious amusement.
Wei Qing was amused by his bold kiss, the corner of his lips curling upward.
But Zhou Younan couldn’t back down now. He had to press forward, stick to the plan.
So, gathering his nerve, he licked Wei Qing’s lips.
“Heh.” Wei Qing let out a soft chuckle.
A jolt of fear shot through Zhou Younan. His grip on Wei Qing’s collar loosened slightly, and they pulled slightly apart.
Failed.
Everything was over.
Zhou Younan’s heart sank. He lowered his head, shoulders trembling faintly.
If he failed here, it was truly the end.
A black glove lay discarded at his feet. Before Zhou Younan could even wonder where it came from—
His chin was tilted up by firm fingers.
A hand gripped his waist, lifting him off the ground.
Zhou Younan flailed in surprise, wrapping his arms around Wei Qing’s neck, accidentally brushing against the warm blond hair at the nape of his neck.
“Huh?”
His startled gasp was swallowed by a fierce, dominating, unrestrained kiss.
“Mmm…”
Licking. Teasing. Tangling.
Wei Qing forcefully claimed his mouth, taking everything before Zhou Younan could react.
Success!
Joy flooded Zhou Younan’s eyes.
The capsule in his mouth was gone—he had succeeded!
In front of everyone, he had made Wei Qing swallow the capsule!
Mission accomplished. Zhou Younan was elated.
But something was wrong. Wei Qing showed no signs of letting him go, still demanding more.
The heady scent of wine lingered between their lips, and the heat radiating from Wei Qing’s chest made Zhou Younan’s heart race uncontrollably.
He gasped for air.
Once his feet found the floor again, Zhou Younan leaned back, trying to push Wei Qing away with his elbows.
Instead, he was pulled into an even tighter embrace.
One of Wei Qing’s hands locked around his waist, the other pinning his back, leaving him no escape.
Zhou Younan’s mind began to fog.
Enough. Stop.
How was he so hot? He felt like he was melting in the scorching heat.
The lights shone down on them as the image of Wei Qing kissing Zhou Younan was broadcast live to the entire galaxy.
Comments exploded:
“AHHHHHHH!”
“My fangirl heart can’t take this…”
“Warning: high intensity!!! Relationship goals!”
“AHHHHH I need to write fanfiction NOW!”
Bettors stared in disbelief: “Holy shit!”
Zhou An’s expectations were shattered. His eyes reddened with fury: “How could this happen?!”
Lance, having just finished dancing, slumped next to Jack for a break. His gaze flickered to the livestream of the two locked in a passionate kiss.
His round face instantly drained of color. Nearly hysterical, he shrieked: “It’s over! It’s over! It’s over! It’s—OVER!”
***
“I like your pheromones.”
The rough whisper jolted Zhou Younan awake.
At this moment, Wei Qing held him close, the coldness in his pale green eyes completely gone, replaced only by smoldering desire.
Zhou Younan flinched as if burned, averting his gaze.
He said he likes my pheromones? Did the capsule work?
Noticing Zhou Younan’s hesitation, Wei Qing dropped a soft kiss on his forehead. “You smell so good… I want to eat you up.”
Eat you up? Literally eat me?
Zhou Younan recoiled.
A poke to his leg. Oh, so that’s what he meant—he had misunderstood.
Zhou Younan tried to pull away, but the hand gripping his waist held him immobile.
“Stay still,” Wei Qing said hoarsely. “Just let me hold you for a while.”
Zhou Younan obediently stayed still. He lowered his eyes, thinking about Wei Qing, whose demeanor now was completely different from before.
He muttered inwardly: That capsule works way too fast.
“Huh?” Henry, who had rushed over at lightning speed after hearing everything, gaped in shock. “Wait, what?”
He kept looking between Wei Qing and Zhou Younan with disbelief.
What was going on?
Wasn’t their Marshal someone who hated others getting too close?
Didn’t he despise fragile Omegas?
Hadn’t he always looked down on the young master of the Zhou family?
When Henry saw Zhou Younan planting that kiss on Wei Qing, his first thought was: It’s over!
The young master of the Zhou family would definitely be punched away by the Marshal, slammed against the wall, and left spitting blood on the spot.
But… what was happening now?
WTF?
Henry Gray was completely baffled.
General Su Xi couldn’t stand watching his dumbfounded expression being caught on camera. With a cold face, she stepped forward and dragged him aside.
“I heard we were originally supposed to hold our wedding at the Stellar Ballroom?” Wei Qing asked.
“Huh? Yeah.”
Zhou Younan was momentarily unable to follow Wei Qing’s line of thinking.
Wei Qing took off the earring on Zhou Younan’s left ear.
He brought it to his nose and inhaled, then looked positively delighted.
Does he really like my pheromones that much?
Wei Qing’s actions and behavior flustered Zhou Younan.
“I’ll go get the hall as a gift for you. Wait here for me.” Wei Qing pinched Zhou Younan’s cheek.
Get? The hall? How do you get a hall? And why should he wait here?
Completely bewildered, Zhou Younan nodded instinctively to show he understood.
Wei Qing took two steps away, then turned back to bend down and kiss him again before striding out of the hall with a beaming smile.
Camera shutters clicked around them once more. Zhou Younan rubbed his cheek, which had just been pinched and kissed.
“Wei Qing! Where are you going? The ceremony hasn’t even started!” Wang Han shouted.
“I’m going to get something. I’ll be back soon.” Wei Qing pulled something from his pocket and tossed it at Wang Han. “Here, returning this to you.”
It was the snuffbox!
Wang Han’s heart skipped a beat. “My snuffbox!”
Fortunately, Su Xi, knowing Wei Qing’s habits, caught it deftly and handed it back to Wang Han.
Only then did Wang Han breathe a sigh of relief.
As soon as Wei Qing stepped outside the hall, a battle mech descended from the sky, crashing down in front of him.
The ground trembled slightly, the ribbons hanging from the ceiling swayed, and even the hall shook. Everyone present was startled.
Wei Qing’s golden hair and the colorful sash on his left shoulder were blown straight by the sudden gust of wind, but he stood his ground.
The battle mech knelt before him on one knee, bowing its head in submission.
The media went wild, their cameras streaming out of the hall.
Wei Qing nimbly jumped into the battle mech’s pilot's seat, his golden hair streaming behind him.
Before entering, he gave Zhou Younan a wink and a flying kiss, saying, “Sweetheart, I’ll be right back.”
Once Wei Qing was inside, the battle mech’s previously dull, slit-like eyes lit up with a dazzling golden glow.
It raised its head.
It stood up.
Its massive crimson frame, over ten meters tall, was adorned with golden lines. The black teardrop emblem on its chest, a meter in diameter, radiated menace, solemnity, and overwhelming pressure.
This was Wei Qing’s exclusive battle mech—Crimson Flame. Years of battle had left it scarred, but those scars were also marks of honor.
It looked up at the sky.
And shot into the sky.
“Why did the Marshal summon Crimson Flame?! Where is he going? What is he getting?!” Henry exclaimed.
Zhou Younan murmured, “The Levis Royal Hotel.”
The drones had range limitations—they couldn’t keep up with Crimson Flame.
The journalists on-site began calling their companies, ordering colleagues to head to the Levis Royal Hotel immediately. Some companies couldn’t dispatch anyone, so the journalists had to chase after Crimson Flame in their own aircraft.
The remaining media descended upon Zhou Younan. “Master Zhou, were you and the Marshal already together before this?”
Zhou Younan wasn’t used to handling the press. He took a step back, looking down as he whispered, “No, this is our first meeting.”
The journalists pushed their cameras forward, hovering right in front of Zhou Younan.
“Master Zhou, why did you make the first move to kiss the Marshal? Was this your plan?”
“Master Zhou, how did you dare to believe you wouldn’t be pushed away? Weren’t you afraid?”
“Master Zhou…”
Zhou Mo shielded Zhou Younan, smiling politely as he said firmly, “We’re not taking questions right now.”
The reporters kept pressing Zhou Younan for answers, but Su Xi stepped up beside Zhou Mo and said, “Madam isn’t giving interviews right now.”
Confronted with Su Xi’s frosty glare, the media hesitated.
Su Xi gave Henry a meaningful glance, and catching her signal, Henry whisked Zhou Younan away from the hall temporarily.
Wang Han approached Zhou Younan stone-faced and said, “Wei Qing going to the Levis Royal Hotel is nothing but trouble.”
“You must follow him immediately and stop him.”
Without waiting for Zhou Younan’s response, Wang Han barked an order to Henry: “Take him there.”
Henry Gray snapped a salute. “Understood, sir.”
Wang Han’s voice gentled and he said to Zhou Younan, “Do your best to talk him down, don’t let him escalate the situation.”
Zhou Younan nodded.
The effects of that capsule were too strong—things had gone way further than he’d planned.
Perhaps he shouldn’t have given Wei Qing the whole pill—half would have been enough.
It seemed like he had given him too strong a dose.
***
Wei Qing had a sudden kiss planted on him by Zhou Younan.
Without a word exchanged, after just a glance, Zhou Younan had kissed him without hesitation.
Why?
Wei Qing came up with a reasonable explanation in his mind:
Zhou Younan had totally fallen for him.
He had fallen in love at first sight, unable to resist, hence the impulsive kiss.
He likes me!
So why hold back?
Wei Qing removed his annoying gloves, pulled Zhou Younan into his arms, and went all in on the kiss.
The deeper the kiss, the stronger the scent of catnip became—this was wildly intoxicating.
His whole body buzzed with pleasure, a sensation so intoxicating that he wished he could take Zhou Younan right there on the spot.
Unfortunately, his partner hadn’t quite figured out the breathing part yet, forcing Wei Qing to reluctantly pause.
Gazing into those glistening black eyes, Wei Qing’s heart sang: So adorable!
Wei Qing could already see their perfect future together.
They would walk hand in hand as the military’s power couple, a model couple, a couple that would redefine romance!
They would be inseparable, grow old together, and be surrounded by children and grandchildren!
My wife and I are meant to be, a match made in heaven!
My darling smells like freaking catnip!
Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!
Hot damn!!!!!!!!!!
Crimson Flame went through the roof.
Wei Qing thought: Nobody lays a finger on my wife.
