Chapter Twenty-Eight: Be Careful!
byChapter Twenty-Eight: Be Careful!
When Yun Zi'an was thrown onto the mattress, his mind went blank for a moment. But before he could react, Rong Xiao leaned over and kissed him fiercely, almost as if engulfing him.
"Rong..." Yun Zi'an turned his head to avoid the kisses, but this only made Rong Xiao more aggressive. His grip was like iron on Yun's chin, his tongue exploring insistently, then sucking hard on his lips as if to devour him whole.
Yun Zi'an's lips were sore from the biting, even tasting the metallic tang of blood. He tried to rise from the mattress, but Rong Xiao's body was immovable like Mount Tai.
In that instant, the difference in their physical statures became starkly apparent.
Rong Xiao's actions were full of desire for control and possession, leaving no room for Yun Zi'an to resist even in the slightest.
His scent, a bold mix of cold ebony, leather, and gunpowder, enveloped Yun Zi'an from all sides like a tide, filling his nostrils and lungs with a potent masculine aroma. His heartbeat quickened to a drum-like rhythm, fearing Rong Xiao might sense his panic and disarray.
Yun Zi'an always felt the dangerous presence of a wild beast nearby, constantly fearing being torn apart by its teeth and claws. This surreal illusion heightened the layers of stimulation, his body already drenched in sweat.
Struggling, he reached towards the nightstand but couldn't find what he sought. Clenching his teeth, his thigh muscles suddenly burst with strength, kicking Rong Xiao off him and to the end of the bed, roaring, "Stop the damn fuss!"
Rong Xiao fell at the foot of the bed, propping himself up on the wrinkled sheets. His eyes, fixed on Yun Zi'an, were completely inflamed, like a raging, irrational lion, his chest heaving intensely.
"No protection, so stop thinking about it." Yun Zi'an curled one leg to cover himself, breathing rapidly. He fiercely wiped his lips with his thumb, previously ravaged by Rong Xiao’s frenzied bites, which had also aroused him.
Uncertain of the time, with the curtains drawn, the outside light was indiscernible, but it seemed they had been at this since the early morning.
The air was thick with the scent of sweat and male hormones, swirling around, luring both reason and desire.
Rong Xiao gazed intently at Yun Zi'an, seemingly never tiring of the sight. His lips, slightly open from bites, seemed to exhale sweetness. His cheeks flushed like glazed porcelain, forehead covered in a fine sheen of sweat, every pore exuding a sensual fragrance.
Yun Zi'an had left his mark on Rong Xiao too, with scratches crisscrossing his back and two bloody bite marks on his shoulder. It hurt, but not much, rather adding to the thrill, flooding him with adrenaline.
"Yuan Yuan..." Maybe the quiet of the night relaxed him, or the atmosphere compelled him to open up. Rong Xiao approached Yun Zi'an, gently caressing his nose, cherishingly rubbing his cheek with his thumb. Since returning home, he felt like walking on thin ice, their relationship seemed fragile, hard to grasp, "I don't know how to be with you anymore..."
He had thought Yun Zi'an succumbed to this marriage due to family pressure. Caught in a web of intertwined interests, he became a puppet, every move entangled.
He couldn't bear to see Yun Zi'an like this. He should be dancing, painting, even living a simple life of luxury as a rich heir, but not sacrificing his lifetime happiness to be bound to a man. The disparity between the Rong and Yun families turned him from a living person into a mere appendage of a surname.
So Rong Xiao left.
Before boarding the plane to the war zone, he handed his written will to the family office. If his body was to be returned, the will would be executed. Yun Zi'an would inherit everything and their marriage would be annulled, leaving him free.
But upon returning and reuniting with Yun Zi'an, his heart uncontrollably throbbed. Indescribable, itchy, and burning, as if a strong hand reached into his chest, pulling him from a dark world into the light.
For the first time in a long while, light found its way through the gaps in his fingers.
Rong Xiao bent down to kiss Yun Zi'an's eyelids, which were slightly reddened.
"I so wish to protect you..."
The places kissed by Rong Xiao felt almost scorching. Yun Zi'an instinctively closed his eyes, his lashes trembling like crow feathers, casting vivid shadows in the eye sockets. The sharpness that seemed almost hurtful in him slowly dissipated with that gentle kiss...
"I wasn't asleep..." Yun Zi'an unconsciously spoke the truth, his Adam's apple bobbing as he looked away, "That blood isn't mine... it's from a beast who tried to bed me..."
Hearing this, Rong Xiao's brows instantly furrowed, reaching for his phone, "Who is it? I'll look into it."
But with the sound of "beep beep—", the call to Meng Wen didn't go through, leaving Rong Xiao momentarily stunned, unsure of what had happened.
Just minutes ago, downstairs at the hotel:
Meng Wen was still in his black suit, jacket off, revealing a tailored waistcoat underneath. The double-breasted design accentuated his waist, his leather gloves removed to reveal a scar crossing his hand. He leaned lazily against the car window, smoking, occasionally looking up without a clear focus, his expression somewhat displeased, "..."
He glanced at his wristwatch, five minutes short of six o'clock, his quitting time.
With that thought, Meng Wen tilted his head back, exhaling a slow stream of smoke. His prominent Adam's apple appeared quite sensual. Just as he was about to put out his cigarette, a loud pop sounded, and a liquor bottle exploded at his feet.
A figure in YSL swayed at the hotel entrance, conspicuous with blond hair, cursing, "Damn deadbeat—!"
Meng Wen hadn't expected to encounter Yan Si here, but then again, it wasn't surprising considering the nocturnal habits of these executives, either in hotels or private clubs. It wasn't too odd to bump into them.
Just minutes away from finishing his shift, he didn't want to meddle in others' affairs.
However, unexpectedly, after walking a few steps, Yan Si suddenly bent over, hugged his arms, and sat on the steps like a wronged child, face buried in his knees, shoulders twitching occasionally.
The cool breeze, not yet touched by summer's heat, the endless flow of traffic, and the morning market cries mingled with intermittent sobs, all poured into Meng Wen's ears.
Meng Wen's fingers kept tapping on his arm, silently counting down in his mind—
50,49,48,47……
3,2,1——
The dawn, accompanied by the ringing of morning bells, climbed atop skyscrapers, scattering sunlight like myriad golden arrows, instantly piercing through the concrete city, transforming the world entirely.
Yan Si sobbed with hiccups, his mind clouded by alcohol, only feeling the light dazzling his eyes. At that moment, a tobacco-scented suit jacket landed on his head, covering him entirely.
The sudden obstruction of sight made him struggle a bit, pulling the garment off his face. Looking up in a drunken haze, he foolishly asked, "Is it my husband?"
Meng Wen, looking at those tear-drenched eyes, resembling water-soaked jade, uncharacteristically hummed in affirmation.
He half-lifted Yan Si, not having soothed someone like this in a long time, "Taking you home now."
With Meng Wen's phone unreachable, Rong Xiao had no choice but to put his phone aside for the time being. His anger, based on a misunderstanding, was somewhat embarrassing. Looking up at Yun Zi'an again, his eyes held a mix of awkwardness and uncertainty, "Do you... want to eat something?"
Yun Zi'an, who hadn't eaten or drunk anything all night, pressed his uneasy stomach, remaining silent for a moment.
However, Rong Xiao, noticing this gesture, immediately understood. He quickly put on his wrinkled shirt, "I'll go buy you medicine and porridge."
Yun Zi'an had always been frail and required special medicinal cuisine for nourishment. In the entire capital, there were no more than two private chefs who could prepare it, and at this hour, they wouldn't be open. Getting even a sip would require a great deal of effort and resources.
Rong Xiao left in a hurry, not even fully closing the door. Yun Zi'an, too lethargic to get up, lay in the soft bed, covering his eyes with an arm, sighing deeply.
Suddenly, a faint "click" at the door startled Yun Zi'an's sensitive nerves. As he sprang up to look, a black figure swiftly passed by—
"Who's there!" Yun Zi'an, barefoot, chased after the figure, rushing into the corridor and saw a tall, thin man disappearing around the corner.
He immediately followed, but at the corridor turn, he collided with a waiter pushing a food cart, both staggering backward with a loud clang.
Yun Zi'an clutched his abdomen, hit by the cart, frowning deeply. When he looked up again, the black figure had vanished without a trace, impossible to find.
His first thought was—
Fu Liangjun!
The bellhop, wearing a cap and looking down, right hand tucked in his waistcoat, stepped forward to help him, "Sir..."
Yun Zi'an, feeling a sense of eeriness and foreboding, suddenly found his wrist gripped tightly by the waiter. He looked up, revealing a face worn and disheveled, twisted in madness and hatred.
Disguised as a waiter, Qin Shi pulled out a dinner knife from his waistcoat and stabbed viciously, "Die!"
….. if what’s said about his wealthy family or whatever he needs a damn bodyguard with him at all times this is ridiculous.
like a bitch. And didn’t even bother confirming your suspicions and opening your mouth and asking Yun or your families. Idiot truly.
