Mount Li is about four hours away from here. Since the guests had to get up early for filming, they spent most of the journey catching up on sleep.

When they arrived at Mount Li, all the guests were greeted with a scene that was far beyond their expectations.

They had assumed that even if conditions would be basic, the production team would still provide decent accommodations.

However, when they saw the dilapidated wooden cabin, the cobweb-covered porch, and the vast wilderness stretching out before them, they realized this trip was truly going to be a trial!

The director gathered the guests in front of the wooden cabin and lined them up to announce the tasks and rules for the trip.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have successfully arrived at our destination for this trip—the beautiful and pristine Mount Li!"

Director Xiao Chen, a tall and slender young man, announced enthusiastically.

Unlike Director Xiao Chen, the guests were not as enthusiastic. Some were preoccupied with their own thoughts, while others were clearly uninterested and dissatisfied.

Only Yi Tiantian cheered in response, and Fei Cheng, the renowned actor, gave a polite clap.

"Each episode of our show has its own set of tasks," Director Xiao Chen said, trying to lighten the mood. "Why don't you guess what the task might be?"

Although Ju Xue was also unhappy with the location, he raised his hand first to try and make a good impression: "The first task must be a picnic! The scenery here is so beautiful!"

Director Xiao Chen shook his head and gestured for the next person to guess.

"A picnic in this remote wilderness? The sun is about to set; are you really not afraid of those strange rumors...?" Yi Tiantian shuddered, unable to continue her thought.

"It should be tidying up our living quarters first," Fei Cheng said, glancing at the wooden cabin behind them, his words carrying a deeper meaning.

Seeing the correct answer, Director Xiao Chen announced, "That's right. Our first task today is to tidy up the rooms and prepare dinner ourselves!"

"Ah?!" Shi Zhongzhong vaguely remembered signing up for a travel show, but now it seemed more like a survival program!

Li You frowned, looking rather displeased.

[Li You and Shi Zhongzhong, though unaware they are siblings, both grew up pampered and spoiled. Their popularity only made them less tolerant of hardship, making this trip a true "special forces mission" for them!]

"Because of their strong familiarity with each other, they fell in love quickly. But due to their similar personalities, they soon developed conflicts, allowing a scoundrel to take advantage of the situation..."

Yi Tiantian observed, thinking to herself.

Wang Dachui remained sullen, and Ju Xue showed no reaction.

Fei Cheng watched the two closely, noticing they did not reveal any signs of guilt.

Meanwhile, Li You and Shi Zhongzhong, the main parties involved, appeared visibly tense.

The task began, and the guests split into two groups—one to prepare dinner and the other to clean the rooms.

After a quick game of "heads or tails," Yi Tiantian, Fei Cheng, and Wang Dachui were assigned to prepare dinner, while Li You, Shi Zhongzhong, and Ju Xue were tasked with cleaning the rooms.

"There's only one small supermarket at the foot of Mount Li, and it's an hour's walk down from here..."

Yi Tiantian started thinking about preparing dinner but was interrupted by Wang Dachui.

Hearing Yi Tiantian's thoughts, Wang Dachui felt a sudden urge.

It would be better to stay here and clean than to walk down the mountain. Cleaning is just a formality, but walking down is real physical labor!

With this thought, he expressed his dissatisfaction, frowning and shouting, "Cleaning is too much work. I volunteer to clean. Who wants to switch with me?"

Unfortunately, everyone had heard Yi Tiantian's thoughts, so none of the others wanted to agree.

The situation became awkward, but Wang Dachui continued talking to himself, "Cleaning is a tough job. Let's all four of us do it!"

Without waiting for agreement, he walked into the wooden cabin.

"I've never seen someone so eager to catch mice."

Yi Tiantian didn't mind and followed Fei Cheng toward the supermarket at the foot of the mountain, as directed by Director Xiao Chen.

As soon as Wang Dachui entered the room, he saw something dart out from a corner and crawl over his foot.

Terrified, he screamed and ran out, tripping over a broom along the way.

When the camera captured him, he was sprawled on the ground in a dog-eat-dog position.

The cameraman almost laughed, and Li You and Shi Zhongzhong, who had just entered, couldn't help but chuckle.

Ju Xue, who disliked Wang Dachui the most, wore a smug expression.

Wang Dachui immediately got up, hiding behind the cameraman and shrieking, "There's a mouse!!"

[What is this guy doing... Why is he lying on the ground while cleaning? Hahaha]

[I heard him scream earlier. Hahahahaha]

[He volunteered to clean, and now he's regretting it. Too late! Stay with your mouse!]

Despite their fussiness, Li You and Shi Zhongzhong cleaned the wooden cabin diligently.

In contrast, Wang Dachui and Ju Xue were merely going through the motions.

By the time everyone finished their tasks, it was already seven o'clock in the evening.

Though the wooden cabin looked simple from the outside, the interior was still new since it had rarely been used.

There were four rooms in the small wooden house. Shi Zhongzhong, as the only female, had her own room. The other rooms were occupied by Li You and Yi Tiantian, Wang Dachui and Ju Xue, and Fei Cheng alone in another.

Being assigned to share a room with Wang Dachui, Ju Xue felt he had hit rock bottom.

So when Wang Dachui greeted him, Ju Xue didn't give him a good face.

Wang Dachui was quite puzzled but didn't think much of it and happily went to the common area of the wooden house to have dinner.

Yi Tiantian and Fei Cheng bought simple noodles and eggs from the supermarket down the mountain, along with a few packets of pickled vegetables. They prepared steaming bowls of egg noodles for the guests who had worked hard all day.

Although Yi Tiantian, who couldn't cook, only helped Fei Cheng by adding pickled vegetables to each bowl.

"Actor Fei Cheng's cooking is really good!" Ju Xue immediately gave a thumbs up in admiration.

Li You also exclaimed in surprise, "I never thought we could eat such delicious noodles in this remote place!"

Fei Cheng smiled slightly, looking at Yi Tiantian, who was earnestly tasting the noodles with her cheeks puffed out like a little hamster.

Due to being startled by the rat, Wang Dachui sat silently at the table, slurping his noodles with sauce dribbling down the corners of his mouth, deeply regretting why he had stayed behind to clean the room.

At the table, only one person seemed distracted—Shi Zhongzhong, who was about to meet her affair partner that night.

She decided to send a message to her affair partner.

Shi Zhongzhong: We can't meet tonight no matter what.

A phone on the table vibrated, and its owner immediately pulled it out to check.

Shi Zhongzhong quickly received a reply: Understood.

Seeing the reply, she finally relaxed, and the taste of the egg noodles returned to her mouth.

Naive Shi Zhongzhong thought this would allow her to escape her fate.

That evening, something unexpected indeed happened.

The small wooden house they were staying in was haunted!
