Chapter 72: Sweet Affection
byChapter 72 Sweet Intimacy
By now, the VIPs realized that the most infuriating among them was still Wen Zhaofu. He knew exactly how to deliver a fatal blow—it was like a knife stabbing straight to the heart.
Wen Haochen bit his lip, his finger trembling as he pointed in his elder brother’s direction, unable to utter a word. He had talked a good game about letting go of this relationship and starting anew, but when Yun Fan truly became his sister-in-law, he simply couldn't accept it.
Cheng Yu slumped into a seat, breathing heavily, his hands on his knees, refusing to look their way. Liu Erxing, however, was more composed. He exited the vehicle, stretched his still-stiff legs, and walked toward Wen Zhaofu and Yun Fan.
Seeing Liu Erxing, Yun Fan’s feelings were complex. He smiled at Liu Erxing and wiped his lips with the back of his hand.
Liu Erxing arched an eyebrow and nodded indifferently. "Long time no see, you two. So, everything's settled, I see?"
Though the words sounded normal, Wen Zhaofu sensed something amiss. From Liu Erxing’s perspective, it seemed this matter hadn’t yet reached its conclusion. That wasn’t right—this matter had clearly already been resolved.
"Are you feeling better?" Wen Zhaofu gripped his cane, took a step forward, and took Yun Fan’s hand.
Liu Erxing glanced at their joined hands, smiled faintly, and shifted his gaze. "Thanks to you, I’m managing. My legs still aren't quite right, but they’re a bit better than yours. The chill settled deep—the doctor advised me to spend this winter in the south."
"Good. Wen Yanlan’s estate welcomes you anytime," Wen Zhaofu said in a deep voice.
Liu Erxing said nothing more. Before turning away, he glanced at Yun Fan with a knowing smile. It was completely different from his usual cavalier attitude. Yun Fan felt a shiver down his spine from the look and turned to Wen Zhaofu. "He’s not himself."
"Yes, he’s not," Wen Zhaofu shook his head.
Back at Langyuntai, Yun Fan drank a bowl of mango pomelo sago made by Uncle Man, smiled contentedly for a while, and temporarily forgot about the strange Liu Erxing.
When he went upstairs and entered the room, he saw Wen Zhaofu standing by the window on a phone call. Yun Fan walked over, and Wen Zhaofu smiled, pinched his chin, and gave him a kiss. Yun Fan didn’t leave but instead wrapped his arms around Wen Zhaofu’s waist.
Wen Zhaofu was rattling on in a language Yun Fan didn’t understand, his tone urgent and sharp, his brow furrowed. Worried that standing for too long would discomfort him, Yun Fan patted his back and helped him sit down at the desk.
The person on the other end of the line was still being pushy. Wen Zhaofu’s mouth set in a tighter line, and his words grew noticeably impatient. Yun Fan smiled and suddenly slid down along Wen Zhaofu’s legs, sitting on the carpet.
Wen Zhaofu’s attention was still on the voice on the phone. He reached out to pull Yun Fan up but had his hand swatted away. Wen Zhaofu chuckled, thinking Yun Fan had one of his creative ideas.
*
Yun Fan indeed had his own plans.
Just as Wen Zhaofu was responding quickly, Yun Fan’s hand rested on Wen Zhaofu’s pants zipper. Wen Zhaofu paused, and the person on the phone urgently urged him to continue. He took a soft breath and looked at Yun Fan with a questioning gaze.
Yun Fan avoided eye contact, focusing intently on his task with utmost seriousness. He even patted Wen Zhaofu’s leg, signaling that he wasn’t paying enough attention.
Wen Zhaofu closed his eyes, dealing with the annoying call while watching Yun Fan intently. Yun Fan’s hands were more dexterous than usual, making Wen Zhaofu steadily unravel until he hastily ended the call, his senses fully returning.
"Xiao Yun, you..." Wen Zhaofu raised his hand and bit the webbing between his thumb and index finger.
Yun Fan looked up, his eyes dewy, lips flushed, and said innocently, "I want to make you happy, sir."
"I am happy. You don’t have to do this, Xiao Yun." Wen Zhaofu reached out and grasped Yun Fan’s wrist. "Get up, the floor's cold."
When Yun Fan didn’t move, Wen Zhaofu coaxed, "Be good now."
Wen Zhaofu pulled Yun Fan onto his lap, took a tissue to wipe his mouth, and kissed him gently for a while.
He looked at Yun Fan with a smile, and in Yun Fan’s flushed face, he helped him up. He understood Yun Fan’s meaning—it said that no matter what he wanted, Yun Fan would give it.
Their destination wasn’t the bed Yun Fan usually slept in but the long-unused wheelchair Wen Zhaofu had abandoned days ago. Wen Zhaofu sat down first, holding Yun Fan’s waist as he straddled his lap.
"Xiao Yun, I’m having surgery next week," Wen Zhaofu said seriously, carefully watching Yun Fan’s eyes.
Yun Fan reached back to touch Wen Zhaofu’s leg. "Mm, after this, this version of Wen Zhaofu will be a collector's edition."
"You’ll have every version of me," Wen Zhaofu tilted his head up slightly and gently sucked on Yun Fan’s lower lip.
Wen Zhaofu raised his hand and took off Yun Fan’s clothes. The room was brightly lit, and he could see everything clearly.
Exposed in such an environment, Yun Fan felt both shy and scared. He wrapped his arms around Wen Zhaofu’s neck, trembling slightly against him.
Wen Zhaofu kissed him incessantly, whispering in his ear, "Undress me, baby."
Yun Fan had never been so nervous in his life. Even seated in a wheelchair, Wen Zhaofu still exuded control. Yun Fan really wanted to learn from him how to be a boss.
But Wen Zhaofu didn’t act like a boss; he was too service-oriented. Every move was preceded by asking Yun Fan’s opinion and whether he was comfortable. Eventually, it was Yun Fan who grew impatient, lifting his hips, wanting it all.
As Yun Fan’s hips started to lower, Wen Zhaofu gripped him with both hands and frowned. "The first time shouldn’t be rushed. It’ll hurt."
"You sure know your stuff, Wen Zhaofu," Yun Fan breathed lightly, teasing.
Wen Zhaofu didn’t blush or fluster but obediently replied, "I did my homework to give you a good experience."
Yun Fan could no longer hold back, going limp and clinging to Wen Zhaofu’s sweat-slicked back. "Zhao Fu... sir, husband, hurry up and study me."
"Xiao Yun..." Wen Zhaofu exhaled a hot breath forcefully into his ear.
Who could withstand this? Let the sturdy wheelchair bear it all. Wen Zhaofu never expected that his brother-like wheelchair would become a witness to his and Yun Fan’s love.
At times intense, at times gentle, the resilient wheelchair never made a sound. The armrests that Wen Zhaofu usually pressed down on with his arms now supported Yun Fan’s long legs, and the backrest that gave Wen Zhaofu the most support was now being slammed into hard every few seconds.
All the fervor far exceeded their expectations. Once such passion and love began, it was impossible to stop.
Only in such a dazed state would Yun Fan forget about Wen Zhaofu’s legs, forget how much effort it took for Wen Zhaofu to support his movements so firmly. But he couldn’t bother with that now—he was about to drown.
After the first time, they didn’t separate at all. Wen Zhaofu carried Yun Fan back to the large bed and looked at him face to face.
Wen Zhaofu brushed the hair from Yun Fan’s forehead, kissed him, and coaxed with exceptional patience, "Feeling better now?"
"Mm, my soul’s back," Yun Fan smiled, his voice hoarse and slightly coquettish. "You’re so strong."
This side of Yun Fan was something Wen Zhaofu had never seen before, and it stirred him again. He moved, and Yun Fan gasped, staring straight at the man above him.
But moments later, Yun Fan didn’t ask him to stop. He lay on his back, letting tears slide from the corners of his eyes, only to be kissed away by Wen Zhaofu.
So this time, from start to finish, was exceptionally prolonged. Yun Fan felt like he was melting, about to be kneaded into cotton candy by Wen Zhaofu.
"Lawyer Chen will have you sign some agreements tomorrow. Sign them all, okay?" Wen Zhaofu took advantage of Yun Fan’s dazed state to whisper.
Yun Fan mumbled affirmatively but felt something was off. However, Wen Zhaofu gave him no chance to speak, pressing down on his shoulders and giving him a breath-stealing kiss.
"Zhao Fu, are your legs okay..." Yun Fan murmured drowsily before closing his eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
Wen Zhaofu smiled; he was perfectly fine. After a moment, still unsatisfied, he leaned over to hug Yun Fan before getting out of bed to fetch a warm towel and clean Yun Fan’s body.
"Mm, sir," Yun Fan mumbled in his sleep, still dazed.
Wen Zhaofu laughed to himself, amused by Yun Fan’s silliness and his own lack of self-control. The red marks all over Yun Fan’s body were a clear indictment of how fiercely he had acted earlier.
"Mm, more tomorrow," Yun Fan mumbled, his eyes closed as he grinned.
Wen Zhaofu was taken aback, then broke into a smile. He leaned close to Yun Fan and pinched his nose. "Okay, whatever you say."
*
For the following week, Yun Fan didn’t get to see Wen Zhaofu often. Shi Ning was very thorough, conducting detailed pre-operative examinations for Wen Zhaofu.
Yun Fan and Wen Zhaofu did not press for a specific outcome, but Shi Ning himself demanded a foolproof plan. Having earned Wen Zhaofu's trust over many years, he felt compelled to deliver.
Since Wen Zhaofu's surgery was a major event, Wen Qichang offered to oversee the Wen Corporation, allowing Wen Zhaofu to focus on his treatment without worry.
In the more than half a year since Yun Fan had known Wen Qichang, this was the first time he felt that Wen Zhaofu's father was being somewhat reliable.
Perhaps concerned that Yun Fan might worry, Wen Zhaofu also called his mother, Shen Yu. She specially drove to the Wen Yanlan estate, which she hadn't visited in years, and took Yun Fan to stay on a small island.
When Lawyer Chen found Yun Fan, he was helping Shen Yu prune the flowers. Having picked up some techniques from the little gardener, he drew exclamations of surprise from Shen Yu.
After chatting with Lawyer Chen for a while, Yun Fan learned that he was also the lawyer who had previously handled Cheng Yu's case.
"Young Master Cheng still thinks to this day that the other party was fighting over a cat with him. In reality, they just wanted money," Lawyer Chen pushed his glasses up. "So during pre-trial mediation, I proposed a figure that satisfied the other side, and that settled it."
Yun Fan smiled. "Young Master Cheng has his own logic."
"Do you understand it?" Lawyer Chen asked curiously.
"I don't," Yun Fan shook his head. "He tried to make me understand, but I chose not to."
Lawyer Chen looked at Yun Fan and realized that this young man was aware of everything and understood it all, but he never easily pointed it out.
After a moment of silence, Lawyer Chen took out the agreement and pushed it in front of Yun Fan. At that moment, Shen Yu also put down her watering can, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
Yun Fan only skimmed the contents before closing the folder. Just as he was about to speak, Shen Yu took his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Aunt Shen..." Yun Fan looked at her. "I know Sir wants to secure my future, but I just want him to get better. The rest..."
"Xiao Yun, since you call Zhao Fu 'Sir,' that means you are life partners, you are family," Shen Yu said with a smile. "Family worries about each other. You worry about him, and he worries about you. That's only natural."
"Zhao Fu is doing this to tell everyone that even if the surgery fails, everything he has will be yours. He wants to reassure you and make others give up any ideas."
"Only after you sign can Zhao Fu go into surgery with peace of mind."
Yun Fan bit his lip, staring intently at Shen Yu. He blinked repeatedly, as if struggling and thinking. By the time Lawyer Chen took a sip of his coffee, Yun Fan picked up the pen and signed his name on each document.
"Aunt Shen, Zhao Fu will be okay," Yun Fan said firmly.
Shen Yu was stunned, her eyes reddening. She smiled, encouraging both Yun Fan and herself. "He will definitely be okay."
On the day of Wen Zhaofu's surgery, ZuZu couldn't come due to a cold. Yun Fan fetched Uncle Man and the little gardener, and they met with Wen Zhaofu before he entered the operating room.
Yun Fan held Wen Zhaofu's hand, touched his face, and said nothing, only offering him a reassuring smile.
"It will take a long time. You all should go rest," Wen Zhaofu instructed. "Uncle Man, see to it that Xiao Yun eats. Don't let him—"
Yun Fan lowered his head and kissed Wen Zhaofu, cutting off his worries about every little thing. Uncle Man quickly turned away, and the little gardener covered his eyes with his hands.
"Wen Zhaofu, I'll be waiting here for you. You have to come through safely," Yun Fan said, still smiling. "For you, I can do anything."

Author's Note: This book is almost finished! [Big laugh] The next one will be "My Childhood Friend Won't Let Me Leave" (Pilot x Air Traffic Controller), a little story about growth and love. Please bookmark it!
Synopsis:
Shen Yunchi lived happily as a young master for six years, until one day everything turned upside down—he was actually an imposter young master.
Little Shen Yunchi was sent to Mengyang County, where he was blocked on the road by Mo Heng, who was holding a big steamed bun. Mo Heng asked him who he was and demanded his name.
When his great-uncle scolded Shen Yunchi for walking too slowly, he retorted: "He won't let me leave!"
Before Mo Heng could adjust to the fact that he now had a new brother, Shen Yunchi was taken back. Mo Heng ran after the car, breathless from running: "I won't let you leave!"
*
At 17, Shen Yunchi felt his life was a joke—he was sent back to Mengyang County again.
Mo Heng, just out of school, stared at him in surprise, his steamed bun dropping to the ground. He shouted: "I won't let you leave! You owe me a bun!"
Once again, Shen Yunchi was blocked by Mo Heng, who thrust a love letter into his hand. The boy avoided his eyes, clenched his fists, and demanded he answer to his sister.
A teacher passed by, eyeing them suspiciously. Mo Heng suddenly blushed, shaking his head and fidgeting: "I don't like Shen Yunchi!"
The usually lazy Shen Yunchi finally reacted, his eyes reddening: "You won't let me leave, so I didn’t leave. You..."
Awoo~~ Shen Yunchi can cry! Mo Heng widened his eyes, hooking his pinky finger with Shen Yunchi's. Shen Yunchi interlocked their fingers, holding tightly.
*
Shen Yunchi and Mo Heng got into university—one studying aviation, the other air traffic control. After graduation, one became an airline pilot, the other an air traffic controller.
Airline pilot Shen Yunchi sat in the cockpit, listening to Mo Heng's all-too-familiar voice calmly say over the frequency: "Continue to hold position."
The captain in the left seat tutted impatiently. Shen Yunchi said plaintively: "He won't let me leave again!"
Shen Yunchi waited and waited, wondering why Mo Heng hadn't cut him off lately. If he wasn’t blocking him, would he block someone else? Anxious, he blocked Mo Heng's path and also silenced his chattering mouth.
"I won't let you leave again."
