Chapter 129 Treatment
by 云养喵Chapter 129: Treatment
Levin was still handling official duties when he received the news, as was Lin Dusheng.
Prompted by his partner's smile (which held a threat), he picked up his own share of duties to deal with.
Because the Marshal's office had a separate air circulation system and an independent monitoring system, neither of them noticed anything amiss until the alarm sounded in the office.
When the alarm went off, Levin glanced at his smart device but didn't receive any messages. What was going on?
The adjutant replied quickly.
"Adjutant: The air circulation center has been breached. Three killed, one unconscious."
"Adjutant: It appears to be an aphrodisiac agent. The medical department is working full tilt to identify the compound and find an antidote."
Levin frowned. Which faction was behind this?
"Marshal: Can the betas handle it?"
"Adjutant: We are mobilizing personnel from other warships to come over."
Levin had a rough idea. Most of the betas on the mothership were likely also affected to some degree. Coupled with the fact that betas were fewer in number and mostly held clerical positions, they could only wait for support from betas on other warships, as well as alphas and omegas wearing sealed protective suits.
Lin Dusheng initially wanted to go out and help, but upon learning the reason, he settled back down to continue handling the official work on his smart device.
Although his physical fitness was S-class and his mental power SS-class, at his core, he was still an omega. Going out would only be a liability; it was better to stay put and handle his duties.
Besides, if they couldn't even handle these matters properly and needed him to worry about it, then the Federation's military budget was truly wasted on a bunch of incompetents.
Levin's attitude was similar to Lin Dusheng's. He returned to his seat and continued with his work.
Half an hour later, Levin finished his tasks and simultaneously received a report that about seventy percent of the aphrodisiac drug within the mothership had been neutralized, with the remaining small portion still being actively decomposed and expelled.
The report also stated that there was no antidote for this drug; it could only be suppressed for now, and it also affected betas.
Seeing this, Levin suddenly remembered someone—Ji Anzhi.
He had forgotten that Ji Anzhi was currently living with Qi Yanshen. Although Ji Anzhi was a beta, Qi Yanshen was an alpha.
And an alpha who had designs on Ji Anzhi at that!
Levin immediately had someone bring him a sealed protective suit, while also instructing personnel to override the lock on Qi Yanshen's room and have a medical team ready.
Thirty seconds later, a beta soldier arrived with a sealed protective suit, preparing to knock.
Before the adjutant could knock, Levin opened the door, took the suit, and quickly put it on.
Lin Dusheng was puzzled. "What's wrong?"
Levin replied tersely, "Ji Anzhi is with Qi Yanshen."
With that, he opened the door, went out, closed it, and locked it from the outside—all in one smooth motion.
Lin Dusheng processed this and wanted to follow, only to find that Levin had remembered to lock the door after leaving.
Two seconds later, he received a message from Levin.
"My Dear Little Wenwen: Handle the official duties. I'll check when I get back."
"Damn it!"
...
Levin hurried towards Qi Yanshen's location, hoping nothing had happened.
Along the way, he could see many bullet holes, spatters of blood, and other fluids. Soldiers in sealed protective suits moved swiftly back and forth, evidence of what had transpired here.
They had only just managed to deal with the alphas and omegas in the public areas; the residential quarters hadn't been addressed yet.
By the time Levin arrived, the medical department personnel had been waiting for some time.
Chi Yan had wanted to come, but he was also affected by the drug, still self-isolating in his room, awaiting rescue.
Looking at the iron door before him, Levin said, "Technician."
A technician reported "Here!" and proceeded to deactivate the door lock.
As the door's indicator light turned green, Levin opened it.
Due to the sealed protective suit, he couldn't sense the pheromone levels in the air. Levin glanced at an omega from the medical department.
That omega immediately took out a pheromone monitor and reported, "Marshal, airborne pheromone levels are off the charts, confirming affected personnel present."
While listening to his subordinate's report, Levin quickly glanced at the open door of one room—empty.
Something really had happened.
Approaching the remaining closed door, Levin tried to open it. It wouldn't budge; it was locked from the inside.
Levin considered kicking it open, but remembering Ji Anzhi's frail constitution, if it happened to hit him directly, it might be a death sentence.
"Pick the lock."
The technician hurried forward. The internal private room doors were different from the outer main door. The outer door could be opened with authorization, but once a private room was locked from the inside, the options were either brute force destruction or hacking to unlock it.
After a few minutes of effort, the door was opened.
Upon opening, they saw a quilt and clothes thrown on the floor, and two people on the bed.
Noticing someone entering, the frenzied Qi Yanshen immediately tightened his embrace around the person in his arms, releasing pheromones laden with aggression towards the group.
The two were pressed tightly together. Although their exact state was unclear, one thing was certain: they were most likely in the middle of knotting.
Tsk, this would be tricky to separate.
Levin stepped forward and used a mental attack. In this state, he couldn't offer solace.
An alpha who had completely descended into a frenzied state could only be soothed by the omega they had marked.
While Levin employed the mental attack, the alphas behind him, without needing orders, raised their tranquilizer guns, aimed at Qi Yanshen, and fired. The drugs were injected instantly.
After the injection, Levin ordered, "Everyone out."
They all immediately retreated and closed the door behind them.
Levin didn't launch a single, intense attack all at once, as that would cause the two to remain stuck in that state.
After a few minutes, the anesthetic in Qi Yanshen's body began to take effect, his gaze growing unfocused.
Levin glanced over, determining that separation was now possible, and slowly stepped forward.
At the same time, the alpha remained fixated on the approaching omega, his pheromones still attacking, his grip continuously tightening.
But no matter how hard he tried, his bloodstream was suffused with the scent of gardenia, which would disappear without a trace in a few days.
"He needs treatment."
Levin stated the situation objectively. On the white bedsheet, besides sweat and other fluids, there was also blood.
Unfortunately, the alpha, lost to his frenzy, wouldn't listen, refusing to let go, and even seemed ready to continue.
Levin raised an eyebrow; he had no interest in watching this spectacle.
He immediately rushed forward, using his mental energy to disrupt Qi Yanshen's consciousness, making him unable to react in time, then delivered a precise strike to the carotid artery.
The force was just right—enough to knock him unconscious but not kill him.
Qi Yanshen, still holding Ji Anzhi, toppled backward. Levin only caught Ji Anzhi.
As for Qi Yanshen?
Alphas are built tough; he wouldn't die.
Levin picked up Ji Anzhi, first taking him to the bathroom for a quick cleanup, then grabbed Qi Yanshen's military uniform hanging on the wall and wrapped it around Ji Anzhi before opening the door and walking out.
Outside, people had been quietly gossiping. They recognized Qi Yanshen—the eldest son of Commander Qi. His achievements over the past year had scared off many omegas.
Not long ago, they learned he had shown special treatment to an omega with an exceptionally low rank who also seemed to have entertained clients. The people in the legion had been betting heavily, with a huge amount of money in the pool.
Today, they discovered Qi Yanshen had been with that omega. The intensity of the scene earlier was simply staggering.
Seeing Levin carrying the omega away, they entered the room to treat Qi Yanshen.
To be honest, Marshal Levin proved why he was an omega from the First Military Academy—more alpha than an alpha.
It's just a shame he was snagged by that shameless Principal Lin.
After what they'd just seen, not a single one was embarrassed; some even had the nerve to joke about it. Truly an S-class alpha, indeed impressive.
...
Levin carried Ji Anzhi to the medical room. The med bay had already received the message, and the Federation's most advanced Treatment Pod was prepared.
After placing him inside, Levin breathed a sigh of relief.
At least he was still alive.
For the first time, Levin issued such a cold and commanding order: "Save him. Ensure a full recovery."
An omega military doctor nearby gave a brisk nod and began selecting medications.
During the initial examination, the Treatment Pod emitted a piercing alarm.
"5S-level file subject."
Under the stunned gazes of everyone, Levin calmly stepped forward, silenced the alarm, and shot a glance to continue the treatment.
Everyone present immediately snapped back to attention and resumed their work.
However, halfway through the basic examination, an omega military doctor hesitantly spoke up: "Reporting, Marshal, this person... doesn't seem to be an omega, but a beta."
Levin calmly nodded: "I know. Just concentrate on the treatment."
Seeing Marshal Levin show no surprise, the omega put the thought aside. He remembered this person's previous medical report indicated omega, so how had he become a beta now?
And judging by Marshal Levin's reaction, he clearly already knew.
Truly worthy of being the Marshal.
But... Brigadier General Qi is in for a rough time. An omega turning into a beta—wouldn't that drive him crazy?
After the basic examination was completed, Levin also received Ji Anzhi's medical report. The first thing that stood out was the bold red letter "E." It seemed Ji Anzhi's physical condition was indeed very poor.
Just then, Yun Huaifeng showed up.
Before this, he had been in the highest-level laboratory developing new pharmaceuticals.
Due to its special nature, he wore a sealed protective suit throughout, and the alarms were silenced inside, leaving him unaware of the outside situation.
A few minutes ago, Levin urgently contacted him, asking him to go to the treatment room because Qi Yanshen had been dosed with an aphrodisiac.
Yun Huaifeng immediately thought of that omega. Due to their meddling as elders, Qi Yanshen was living with an omega. If Qi Yanshen went into heat, that little omega "He Zhi" would be in trouble.
Without even changing out of his protective suit, Yun Huaifeng went straight to the location Levin sent. As soon as he entered, he saw Levin standing in front of the Treatment Pod.
"Is it He Zhi?"
Faced with Yun Huaifeng's question, Levin shook his head.
Yun Huaifeng had just let out a sigh of relief when he heard Levin say calmly, "It's Ji Anzhi."
"What?! Ji Anzhi?"
Yun Huaifeng repeated Levin's words in disbelief. Seeing Levin nod again, Yun Huaifeng stepped forward, wanting to see the person inside the Treatment Pod.
The Treatment Pod only allowed a view of the patient's face. After looking several times, Yun Huaifeng confirmed it was indeed "He Zhi."
"Is it a mask?"
Levin continued looking down at the documents, replying to Yun Huaifeng, "No, it's probably some method to alter his appearance long-term."
While Levin spoke, Yun Huaifeng asked an omega military doctor for a copy of the medical report. The genetic test indicated beta.
Below was a line of red text.
"Genetic identification as 5S file subject."
In the entire Federation, only one person's file was rated 5S.
The Marshal and Principal Lin's files were only 4S.
"He Zhi's" identity was self-evident—it was Ji Anzhi.
Thinking of this, Yun Huaifeng turned his gaze to Levin; he needed the Marshal to give an explanation.
Levin feigned ignorance, pointedly ignoring the question.
Seeing Levin's shameless act of feigning death, Yun Huaifeng inwardly complained, but rank had its privileges, so he held his tongue and continued reading the report.
"Hmm?"
Yun Huaifeng noticed the genetic testing section and was puzzled. Why did it show two distinct gene sequences? Although largely consistent, there were subtle differences, and most genes were defective and damaged.
This was clearly anomalous.
Yun Huaifeng examined the detected data closely and asked, "What's wrong with his body?"
Levin replied, "I don't know. We need to ask him personally or the blond man who was with him."
Unable to get an answer, Yun Huaifeng stopped asking and continued reading while thinking about which colleagues to ask for the necessary drugs.
His research focused on neuromuscular studies, and he wasn't well-versed in genetic drugs, so he needed to consult specialists in that field.
After reviewing the materials, Yun Huaifeng took a deep breath and exhaled.
He was feeling rather annoyed now. He had thought his son was finally getting his act together and liking an omega, only to find out it was still a beta.
And the same person at that!
Not wanting to suffer alone, Yun Huaifeng messaged his partner to inform her of the situation.
We don't have to share the good times, but we're sure stuck with the bad together.
"Yun Huaifeng: Are you there?"
Qi Lan replied quickly, responding in less than half a minute.
"Qi Lan: What's up?"
"Yun Huaifeng: He Zhi is Ji Anzhi."
The chat dialog remained still for a long time. Yun Huaifeng could imagine Qi Lan's expression—her cold face filled with disbelief, repeatedly confirming she hadn't misread, and then complaining just like him.
After a long while, the next message finally came.
"Qi Lan: Really?"
"Yun Huaifeng: Results from a full-body check in the highest-level Treatment Pod, with the Marshal present."
The implication was clear—it couldn't be wrong.
"Qi Lan: Highest-level Treatment Pod?"
"Yun Huaifeng: Your precious son was drugged with an aphrodisiac and forced himself on Ji Anzhi."
Qi Lan: "…………"
As if he isn't your son too.
Qi Lan gently massaged her temples, feeling a headache coming on.
Half an hour ago, she had received news that the Mothership in the ruins area had been dosed with an aphrodisiac. She was already wracking her brains over how to explain it to Levin, as the Bug Swarm ruins area fell under the jurisdiction of the Third Legion. An incident on her watch meant she had to provide an explanation.
So, for the past half hour, she had been in meetings issuing orders, even putting the entire legion on high alert and sealing off all routes in the Bug Swarm ruins area.
Before she could finish dealing with this matter, she received a message from her partner.
She had considered the possibility of her child being drugged, but she never imagined he would succumb and force himself on someone.
To make it worse, the omega was actually a beta—and Yan Shen's ex-boyfriend at that...
...What a headache.
"Qi Lan: How is Ji Anzhi now?"
"Yun Huaifeng: Physical fitness level E, genetic issues, and your precious son even knotted him."
Qi Lan: "…………"
After a few seconds of silence, Qi Lan covered her face. Once she calmed down, she sent a message.
"Qi Lan: Spare no effort in treating him. Yan Shen will apologize later. As long as he doesn't die or end up disabled, I can live with it."
"Yun Huaifeng: Okay."
