Chapter 104 Opening a Shop in Nanhe Village
by 盐味荔枝Feng Xiuyong said, “Miss Jiang, I’ll have the same, please.”
“Alright.” Jiang Yingxue took their membership cards and served them identical dishes.
Besides coming for lunch, Feng Xiuyong was also there to deliver the Xia Yu Flower Candy order form. Of the school’s total 1,103 teachers and students, 703 had placed orders. The remaining 400 were mostly adopting a wait-and-see stance—likely intending to observe the actual effects for a month before deciding whether to purchase.
Yu Yuande and Feng Xiuyong knew each other well and enjoyed a friendly rapport.
Wearing his reading glasses, Yu Yuande carefully examined the points redemption catalog.
He had already redeemed a set of Spirit Flower Wine. His current point balance stood at 324.5. Today, he glanced over the list, skipping low-point items and focusing instead on the mid-range section.
Solid Origin Wine, Nourishing Spirit and Soul Wine, Dragon Scale Flower Wine, Mist-Spitting Beads, and so on—every consumable item listed in the catalog had undergone food safety testing, and he had read all the corresponding reports.
So it wasn’t merely the images that appealed to him; the descriptions themselves stirred deep yearning.
The only catch was that these Xuehe stall items weren’t for sale—they could only be redeemed with points.
Yu Yuande said, “Yingxue, don’t you have anything more expensive available for purchase? This Solid Origin Wine looks excellent. When will you offer something priced accordingly? I’d like to redeem it.”
“Uncle De, I love Solid Origin Wine too. If it were available for purchase, I’d buy a bottle right now to try it.”
Jiang Yingxue retrieved a printed sheet from the cabinet and said, “Teacher Yu, Principal Feng, you can download the exclusive member app shown here. It offers a far more comprehensive product range, and you’ll receive advance notifications about upcoming promotions. I’ll finish uploading all products to the app tonight. As for the higher-priced items you mentioned—they’re also available there. You can check after 8 p.m.”
“Most app-exclusive items aren’t sold at the stall. As you know, the tricycle is limited in capacity—it simply can’t hold too many items. So any orders placed via the app will be ready for pickup at the stall the following day.”
“All food items listed on the app have been tested by Guanhua Food Testing Agency—guaranteed safe and reliable.”
Feng Xiuyong said, “Having an app is indeed far more convenient. Miss Jiang, have you considered opening a shop on Chengyang Road? I’d be happy to help scout for suitable vacant storefronts nearby.”
Yu Yuande added, “Opening a shop would be excellent. Running a proper shop would certainly be far more comfortable than operating a stall.”
At the same time, Yu Yuande pulled out his phone and asked Feng Xiuyong to help him download the app and register an account.
Jiang Yingxue smiled faintly and said, “Thank you for your kindness, Principal Feng. Opening a shop is already underway. When the grand opening arrives, I sincerely hope you’ll both attend—I’d be truly honored.”
Feng Xiuyong laughed, “Haha, we’d be honored—absolutely honored!”
Yu Yuande chuckled heartily, “Honored—we must be honored! We’ll definitely attend your opening. The address is in Nanhe Village, right?”
He had spent the past few days on Xiaohé Mountain. While asking for directions, he’d overheard villagers chatting under the large banyan tree at the village entrance—discussing how a certain family’s child had built a house somewhere and purchased three neighboring properties. Curious, he’d asked and learned that this “child” was none other than Jiang Yingxue. Coupled with what she’d just said, he deduced she was building a shop in her hometown.
His guess was correct: Jiang Yingxue was indeed planning to construct a large store in Nanhe Village.
Jiang Yingxue nodded. “Yes—it’s in Nanhe Village.”
“Won’t the village be rather remote compared to the city?” Feng Xiuyong voiced a thought shared by most people.
Yu Yuande replied, “Good wine needs no bush. With the reputation of her stall’s flavors, she won’t lack customers.”
Jiang Yingxue smiled silently—but her expression clearly affirmed Yu Yuande’s words.
“Uncle De is absolutely right!” Feng Xiuyong laughed. Why hadn’t he thought of that? He was slow on the uptake.
After they left, Jiang Peiyu looked at the order form in Jiang Yingxue’s hand and asked curiously, “Sis, is this a school order?”
“Yes—it’s the Xia Yu Flower Candy order from Yaori International Middle School.” Jiang Yingxue didn’t hide it and showed her the form directly.
“Sis, are you only doing business with Yaori International Middle School?”
“No—all primary and secondary schools across J City are potential clients. Kindergartens could also be considered, provided they express interest.”
“Then… could our school also…?” Jiang Peiyu sounded slightly excited.
“Of course. The price is 350 yuan per box—uniform across all schools and locations, except Taoxi Town.” Jiang Yingxue’s favoritism toward Taoxi Town was unmistakable. Even though she no longer operated her stall at Taoxi Middle School, Xuehe Gourmet still offered it the best possible price.
Seeing the barely contained excitement and joy on her cousin’s face, Jiang Yingxue added, “If your school wishes to place an order, it should do so soon. Orders for next month can only be accepted this month. Once this week passes, they’ll have to wait until the month after next to receive their goods.”
“Great—thanks, Sis!” Jiang Peiyu decided she’d approach her homeroom teacher that afternoon to discuss it, and the teacher could then relay the proposal to the principal. This was a discount exclusively for all students and staff of the entire school—she was confident they wouldn’t refuse.
“But,” Jiang Yingxue paused, “two of your classmates are on the blacklist. They are prohibited from consuming any Xuehe Gourmet food.”
“Is it Chen Biyu and Hong Xinyue?”
“Yes.”
“Sis, what they did fully warrants blacklisting—I won’t plead for them.”
“Mhm. If they give you trouble, remember to tell me.” After all, the Xuehe stall was partly responsible.
“Don’t worry—they haven’t. And even if they did, I can handle it.”
At the Xuehe stall, after the two banners were hung, some customers were delighted while others grew anxious.
*
Those holding membership cards were pleased—the new threshold would shorten their waiting time. Those without membership cards worried that starting tomorrow, they wouldn’t even be able to purchase the 20-yuan juice cups.
Some non-members felt discriminated against and demanded the owner rescind the rule—but Jiang Yingxue refused.
This policy was also groundwork for the future Xuehe mini-mall. Once the Xuehe Mall in Nanhe Village opens, it will serve members only. The 20,000-yuan threshold for the purple membership card isn’t excessively high—but neither is it trivial. This was Jiang Yingxue’s way of streamlining operations, eliminating a great deal of unnecessary hassle upfront.
Meanwhile, collaborations with city schools and with primary and secondary schools in Taoxi Town regarding Xuehe Gourmet would remain unchanged.
Jiang Yingxue’s original aspiration—to secure a good life for her family—would never change.
On Xiaohé Mountain, the inspection team from S City was conducting its investigation.

The team comprised ten people: two professors and eight students.
Bu Yarui squatted beside a rock and exclaimed joyfully, “Professor! I’ve found a Qiong Peach Tree!”
A flash of dissatisfaction quickly crossed Yu Yingting’s eyes. “It’s far too small—nothing worth getting excited about.”
When they first ascended the mountain, they’d spotted the bamboo baskets carried on the backs of the J City inspection team. Those baskets held much larger, healthier specimens of Qiong Peach Trees and Spirit Hawthorn Trees.
