"Bao'er, escort your elder sister out," Madam Gu said to her daughter hiding by the door.

Qin Mingbao stepped out, looking timidly at Qin Liuxi, and politely said in her soft, childlike voice, "Elder sister, let Bao'er escort you."

As Qin Liuxi walked out, followed by Qin Mingbao, her robe was gently tugged from behind as they stepped into the courtyard.

Releasing her grip, Qin Mingbao looked up at the tall figure who seemed both sisterly and brotherly, blinking her round eyes, her small face turning red.

Before the Qin family's troubles, she had never met Qin Liuxi, only vaguely hearing from her mother about an elder sister living in the old house due to frail health.

Qin Mingbao, surprised, glanced at the amount on the note, her eyes widening. When she looked up again, her sister's figure had disappeared through the gate.

After chasing a few steps and seeing her gone, Qin Mingbao hurried back to Madam Gu's room, handed over the note, and shared what happened, slightly anxious, "Mother, should I return this to elder sister?"
