    Chapter 34: Bad Influence

Liang Xigui had been plied with plenty of alcohol, both overtly and covertly, with the employees by his side doing their best to shield him from further drinking.

Wu Liang kindly suggested that he spend the night at the hotel, as it was too late and unsafe for him to travel back.

Receiving a subtle glance from her father, Wu Xiaoxiao swayed closer to Liang Xigui, "Brother Liang, why don't you rest upstairs?"

Liang Xigui felt a wave of disgust at the artificial display before him; he smirked lightly, a sight that left Wu Xiaoxiao slightly flushed.

"Brother Liang~" Wu Xiaoxiao's red lips parted, indeed revealing herself as a rare beauty.

Liang Xigui stood up, creating an invisible distance between himself and the girl. He walked over to Wu Liang, draping his arm around his neck in a friendly gesture.

"President Wu, thank you for your warm hospitality tonight, but I have a fierce husband waiting at home. If I don't return tonight, he'll turn the place upside down. It's truly inconvenient for me to stay here, please understand," Liang Xigui said softly.

Wu Liang, who had also consumed a fair amount of alcohol, thought there might be something wrong with his ears upon hearing Liang Xigui's words. How did Liang Xigui suddenly have a fierce husband?

"President Liang sure knows how to keep secrets. Why didn't we hear about your marriage? Could it be that—"

Wu Liang kept his expression neutral, deliberately using a teasing tone to gauge the status of this so-called fierce husband. Was this a genuine marriage or merely a casual affair?

Liang Xigui's eyes turned cold for a moment before returning to normal, "President Wu is joking. The one at home prefers to keep a low profile, and I listen to him."

Wu Liang chuckled, feeling like a clown for his actions tonight.

But he couldn't let this incident sour their relationship. Compared to long-term economic benefits, matters of love were mere icing on the cake, dispensable.

"Then President Liang, please do as you wish. I won't hold you any longer," Wu Liang said with a forced smile.

Liang Xigui smiled faintly in response. He glanced at the employee, who followed him out of the room in perfect sync.

"Review the contract once more. If there are no issues, send it to headquarters."

    "Yes, President Liang."

Liang Xigui hailed a designated driver through his phone. As he waited outside, the wind blew against him, making him realize that the effects of the alcohol were starting to kick in, leaving his head slightly dizzy.

The employee's car arrived first. Liang Xigui offered a few words of concern, telling him to rest more tomorrow.

    "Thank you, President Liang."

Struggling to maintain the last thread of consciousness, Liang Xigui leaned against the backseat of the car, closing his eyes to rest.

Meanwhile, Tan Xing had just finished watching a fireworks show. Each second of the dazzling display left him in awe, amazed at the world's skill in crafting such spectacular fireworks.

    "Mr. Tan, let's go back."

Tan Xing nodded, still replaying the images of the fireworks in his mind, a sense of lingering satisfaction evident.

The distance from the scenic area to the hotel wasn't short, and by the time they returned, it was quite late.

Tan Xing rubbed his slightly sore stomach and pushed open the door to the hotel room.

The dim lighting made him squint involuntarily, and a faint scent of alcohol wafted past his nose, dissipating quickly.

"Liang Xing?" Tan Xing asked tentatively.

    "Stars, come here."

Liang Xigui had just finished soaking in the bath and was now leaning against the tatami mat by the floor-to-ceiling window, waiting for this late-returning cat.

Tan Xing closed the room door behind him and followed the sound of the voice deeper into the room, where a reclining figure came into view.

Liang Xigui waved him over. Tan Xing swallowed hard, his internal danger radar blaring incessantly.

Before he could react, Liang Xigui reached out and grabbed his slender ankle, pulling him forward with a slight force, causing him to stumble onto his body.

"What were you thinking about, Stars?" Liang Xigui asked, looking at the person before him.

Tan Xing met those eyes, dark as ink, and instinctively wanted to struggle and escape.

As a man himself, he understood the danger in that gaze. If he didn't run now, he might be devoured without a trace.

"I, I wasn't, Mr. Liang, let me get up for a moment. You might get uncomfortable if I stay here," Tan Xing said, attempting to crawl away and retreat.

Liang Xigui merely adjusted his position, still keeping him within his embrace.

Tan Xing inwardly groaned, unsure how much Liang Xigui had drunk tonight to torment him like this.

Liang Xigui pressed against the back of his neck, his cool lips parting slightly as he nipped at a tender spot.

Tan Xing felt a tingling numbness in his neck, forcing him to prod at the arm wrapped around his waist.

"Mr. Liang, it's late. Let's go to bed," Tan Xing said softly.

After a few seconds, Liang Xigui responded with a muffled grunt, lifting the person into his arms. In a blink, Tan Xing found himself suspended in mid-air.

Liang Xigui carried him to the bed and threw him onto it, then climbed on top, supporting himself with his knees on either side of Tan Xing's body, beginning to undress him.

"No, no." Tan Xing clutched tightly at his own collar, shaking his head in refusal of the other's actions.

"Yes." Liang Xigui spoke to himself, his hands not stopping their movements.

The other party had clearly wanted to sleep with him just moments ago, yet now he was refusing. Tan Xing knew this was a game of push and pull, where 'no' meant 'yes.'

Tan Xing felt like crying but had no tears. His emotions stirred, and his stomach began to churn violently, waves of discomfort washing over him.

"Mr. Liang, I'm feeling unwell." Tan Xing forcefully pulled one of the other's hands onto his stomach.

Liang Xigui tilted his head in confusion, his muddled mind unable to process the intricate dynamics of language anymore. He could only follow Tan Xing's lead and began massaging his belly.

Tan Xing collapsed back onto the bed, his body sprawling out in the shape of a "big" letter, somewhat guiltily enjoying Liang Xigui's warmhearted massage.

As the pain in his stomach gradually subsided, Tan Xing, seized by a twinge of conscience, decided to let the other rest.

He dared not mention any sensitive words, only issuing a few very simple commands, finally getting the person to obediently lie down under the covers.

Yet Liang Xigui, lying on the bed, stubbornly refused to close his eyes and sleep. Tan Xing was so infuriated he wanted to slap him, but seeing that face, he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Fuming, he pulled the blanket over himself, and Liang Xigui immediately reached out an arm to pull him into his territory.

Taking advantage of Liang Xigui's drunken state, Tan Xing boldly raised his hand to pinch the other's nose, his tone somewhat accusatory as he said, "Naughty one."

Liang Xigui embraced him and closed his eyes to sleep, the farce finally coming to an end. Tan Xing sighed with relief.

But his stomach started churning again, acid nearly rising to his throat several times. Frowning, Tan Xing endured the discomfort until late into the night when he finally fell into a hazy slumber.

Liang Xigui was a light sleeper, and he vaguely heard someone groaning. Opening his eyes, he saw Tan Xing, his face deathly pale, curled up and groaning softly.

    "Tan Xing, wake up."

Liang Xigui instantly snapped to full alertness at the sight. He raised his hand to gently push against the other's shoulder, calling out his name while recalling what happened after he got drunk last night.

He and Tan Xing hadn't gone all the way, so there must have been another reason. But with the person still unconscious, he couldn't figure out the specific cause.

Tan Xing felt as if a group of large hands were tearing at his stomach, the pain leaving him gasping for breath.
