After a night spent together, Jiang Yao awoke to find Doug already gone.

Stepping out of his room, Jiang Yao ate only a few bites of breakfast before the waiting medical staff led him to a clearing.

A priest formally introduced Jiang Yao, not mentioning his connection to vampires, but simply stating that he was the butler of the Doug family.

Jiang Yao spotted Doug hidden among the crowd, and also noticed the wolf-like traits on the dozen or so others present. Doug strode over and slung an arm around Jiang Yao. "Today, you'll be sparring partners for the new wolves who haven't fully integrated yet."

With a playful shove, Doug teased, "I worked hard last night, so today it's your turn to take over."

The priest asked Jiang Yao, "Respected Butler Jiang, do you have any instructions? This session is swordsmanship."

Jiang Yao chuckled. "My foot’s bothering me."
