    Chapter Index

The sunlight filtered through the blackout curtains, casting a glow on the light golden sheets. A slender and fair hand hung limply over the edge of the bed.

The warm sunlight fell on the skin of his wrist, and after a moment, his fingers finally stirred lazily.

Xia Qi, still asleep, furrowed his brow and woke up.

    "Hiss—"

He winced, drawing in a sharp breath. As soon as most of his senses returned, he felt the pain in his lower body again.

Of course, it wasn’t the bullet wound that hurt, but his waist and lower area.

He glanced at the sheets, noticing that the messy and soiled sheets from last night had been changed, and he was wearing brand-new pajamas. He had no idea where Yuanzhou had found them.

It was getting more and more ridiculous.

He lay there for a moment, resting, and then Yuanzhou pushed the door open and walked in, gently reminding him, "Qi, it's time to eat."

Xia Qi turned his head and looked at the electronic clock on the wall, squinting his eyes. "It should be lunch, right."

"Same, same," Yuanzhou said, seeing Xia Qi's tired face. Feeling a bit guilty, he rubbed his nose and added, "Wait for me, I’ll bring your breakfast in."

A moment later, he personally carried a tray inside and set up a small folding table by the bed.

Looking at the folding table, which was only used during his recovery, Xia Qi's mouth slowly turned down. His leg injury had mostly healed, and yet he was still eating in bed—he was almost being raised like a pampered pig!

His gaze shifted from the folding table to the silver-haired man squatting beside him, who was carefully ladling soup for him.

This man was the one who had turned him into a pampered pig.

During his recovery, he lived like a piglet that ate and slept, and after his recovery, his life became even more absurd—he had turned from a pampered pig into one that would be thoroughly… indulged with.

Even the best body couldn’t withstand the rigors of a Superhuman. Who knows why future him had made Yuanzhou so strong, with exaggerated endurance and… well, size.

Enough was enough; if this continued, he really would be ruined.

Xia Qi decided to find something serious for Yuanzhou to do, to divert some of his attention away from him, and asked, "Have we earned enough money?"

Yuanzhou was surprised that Xia Qi was concerned about their financial situation. However, it was a good thing that he asked, as it showed Xia Qi had plans for their future.

Staring at Xia Qi's serious expression for a moment, Yuanzhou's thoughts drifted to strange places. Did he want to manage the finances?

The ancients once said: Handing over financial control to your partner would make them value the relationship more, and the relationship would heat up again.

Although this method was generally applied between men and women, who knew if it worked for men as well? However, a Superhuman who was always at the forefront of romance wouldn’t mind. As long as it helped him get his feast every night, what was a mere wallet account? He’d even give his life for it.

Without hesitation, Yuanzhou smiled and replied, "Recently, I’ve been flipping stocks during my free time, and I’ve made about 3 billion. I’ll transfer the account to you tomorrow, and you can manage the household expenses."

Xia Qi’s hand trembled as he ladled the soup. Just how much had this guy harvested from retail investors with his system, leaving no room for others to compete?

"...That's enough," he said with a twitching mouth, sipping the soup. Three billion—they couldn’t spend this much money in ten lifetimes.

Xia Qi felt that managing the wallet account was too exhausting. This wasn’t giving Yuanzhou something to do, but creating more work for himself!

He didn’t dare to accept the hot potato and decisively refused, "You keep managing the wallet account. I don’t have the energy; I need to focus on recovering."

Hearing this, Yuanzhou raised an eyebrow. Was it possible that financial control didn’t work on him? Xia Qi wasn’t even interested in managing the account?

    But then, Yuanzhou realized something.

Xia Qi remained unfazed by the enormous amount of money, showing just how high his moral standards were.

In fact, Xia Qi was completely dumbfounded by the huge sum and quickly shifted the topic. "Are your sisters starting school soon?"

Upon hearing this, Yuanzhou's face showed a look of pride. He thought to himself that fortunately, he had prepared in advance; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to give Xia Qi a surprise when he asked.

"They'll start school in three days. I also helped you finish the funding and enrollment applications you submitted last time," Yuanzhou said proudly, lifting his chin.

"That fast?" Xia Qi said in surprise, raising his eyebrows. He had gone to great lengths to secure funding for his younger sisters, who came from a poor family. He had specifically found a charity organization and applied to sponsor their education.

Along the way, he had even transferred them to a new school.

Seeing that Xia Qi was more energetic, Yuanzhou hurriedly said with excitement, "Qi, how about we meet them tomorrow?"

"Okay," Xia Qi nodded, then suddenly remembered something. He tapped the edge of the soup bowl with a spoon and said seriously, "You need to behave tonight."

If they went at it again, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to get up tomorrow.

Yuanzhou struggled internally for a moment before reluctantly saying, "...Fine."

His expression looked like he had just lost a fortune.

Xia Qi felt the pain in his aching body worsen as he looked at Yuanzhou's expression. Did he actually plan to continue tonight?

Good heavens, he was already like this, and he still wanted to go on?!

Fortunately, he wisely found a reason to give himself a day of rest, managing to negotiate a break from the ravenous person in front of him.

    It was truly not easy...

The next day, Xia Qi and his younger sisters met at a café.

Both of them were quite young and would be starting junior high this year. They were dressed neatly; their clothes were old but washed clean.

The older sister looked around the booth and whispered to her younger sister, "Do you think our sponsor will be someone important?"

Even when Xia Qi and Yuanzhou sat down opposite them, they still couldn't believe it.

They had assumed the sponsor would be an older boss, but instead, it was two young men, especially Yuanzhou, whose hairstyle was very trendy.

The older sister couldn't help but keep glancing at his trendy hairstyle.

Xia Qi looked at his younger sister, who seemed tiny, with a gentle gaze, and took the initiative to greet her. "Hello, I am your sponsor. My name is Xia Qi."

The younger sister hid her clenched fists under the table, trying hard to appear calm.

She sweetly called out, "Hello, both of you."

"Don't worry, don't be nervous," Xia Qi noticed her unease and patiently explained, "We're here today just to meet you. Rest assured, we have submitted your sponsorship application to the organization, and we won't back out arbitrarily."

Hearing this, the younger sister visibly relaxed, her tense posture softening. "Thank you, both of you."

After thanking Xia Qi, the younger sister noticed her older sister wasn't moving and discreetly nudged her with her elbow, softly reminding her, "Sister."

Xia Qi glanced at the younger sister next to her and noticed she was still staring at Yuanzhou in a daze.

Yuanzhou had come along mainly to support Xia Qi.

To Yuanzhou, everyone else might as well have been invisible.

He grew impatient under his older sister's gaze and, regardless of the human rule about not bullying someone younger, suddenly changed his expression. His expression darkened, and he glared at her with a fierce intensity. This glare was so powerful that it felt like her soul had been pierced, causing her to burst into tears on the spot.

"Um," the sister, clutching the younger sister's sleeve and stammering, said, "I, I think I've seen him before."

The younger sister had been having a pleasant conversation with Xia Qi, but suddenly, her sister broke down. She first comforted her sister, then turned to Xia Qi to apologize. "Brother Xia, I'm sorry. My sister probably didn't sleep well last night, so please don't take it to heart."

The sister's crying attracted the attention of nearby customers, and many cast curious glances their way. Seeing the tense atmosphere, Xia Qi handed over the tablet menu. "Stop crying. Are you hungry? What would you like to eat? I'll order for you."

The promise of food helped calm her down.

Since the two girls were still very young, Xia Qi didn't let them order coffee but instead chose healthy milk and desserts for them.

Once the atmosphere became harmonious again, the younger sister asked the most important question of the meeting. "Brother Xia, do you have any requirements for us?"

Generally, institutions that provide financial aid to impoverished students have academic requirements. Some institutions even decide whether to continue funding based on the recipient's performance.

While their situation wasn't perfect, it wasn't the worst compared to other students receiving aid. To give them a better chance, she wanted to perform well to continue receiving their support next year.

Just as Xia Qi was about to respond, Yuanzhou burst into a mischievous laugh. "Of course, there are requirements."

They had already discussed the requirements on the way here.

"You know which school we're sending you to, right?" Yuanzhou said bluntly.

"Yes, I know," the younger sister replied softly, "It's a girls' school."

In truth, she would have preferred to talk to the more gentle Xia Qi, but unexpectedly, Yuanzhou took over the conversation.

She looked up at Xia Qi and saw that he was leisurely sipping his coffee, clearly leaving the tough talk to Yuanzhou.

"Good. It seems you've read the emails I sent you carefully," Yuanzhou nodded and said coldly to the two young girls, "My requirement is simple. You need to maintain a top 10% ranking in all exams, or there will be no further funding."

No child likes exams, and upon hearing this, the sister felt as if she had been struck by lightning. Even the younger sister looked shaken.

She had heard about the boarding school Yuanzhou mentioned. The school was known for its strict semi-military management. Students had to wake up at 6 a.m. for exercise, and advanced cameras monitored evening study sessions……

Moreover, the students there were all elite. She couldn't understand how Xia Qi had secured spots for them.

Therefore, getting into the top 10% would not be easy for them.

The academically challenged sister was both shocked and terrified. "Oh my god, I've never even come close to the top 10%!"

"Do you think our money grows on trees?" Yuanzhou's sharp gaze cut through her. "If you want to slack off, you can leave now."

    Sister: "……"

Seeing that her sister was on the verge of tears again, to protect the mental well-being of the minors, Xia Qi cleared his throat and smiled. "If you achieve better grades, we will give you additional rewards. For example, every summer and winter vacation, we'll send you abroad for summer and winter camps. During regular holidays, we'll also sign you up for travel activities. Of course, your living expenses will also be increased."

It would be crazy to turn down such an offer!

Although their academic requirements were strict, it was ultimately for the girls' benefit.

The younger sister held her sister's hand and persuaded her until she reluctantly agreed.

Thus, the meeting ended on a pleasant note.

As they watched the sisters leave in a cloud car, Xia Qi turned to Yuanzhou, his expression uncertain. "Do you think they'll study hard?"

Yuanzhou knew he was talking about the older sister and glanced up at the cloud vehicle as it powered on, his lips curling into a sneer. "Let her try," he muttered.

He was a Superhuman who had returned from the next world. This era hadn't advanced to the level of that future world yet. The cloud network was still in its earliest, rudimentary stage, far from the advanced systems of the future. With the entire world still in its infancy, everything was within his grasp.

If the older sister dared to cause trouble under his watch, she’d be asking for it.

Once the sisters were in the car, they were waving at them through the glass. The older sister suddenly caught sight of Yuanzhou’s cold, menacing expression and went pale, her hands trembling as she pressed against the glass.

"Alright, don’t spook her," Xia Qi said with a chuckle, patting Yuanzhou’s shoulder.

The author has something to say: If you want to continue reading about Xia Qi’s story, you can also bookmark my upcoming work, *Sinful Game*, a darker version of this story—quite intense.

Of course, because I’ve got a few drafts lined up, I’ll be writing *Mythic-level Villains Are All Mine* first. It’s a fantasy, not a [specific genre], and it’s already posted first on my profile. For those interested, feel free to check out the first chapter on my profile!
