Chapter 146
byChapter 146
"...I didn’t ask you to go through my things."
Yu Chuang waited for an explanation, but only received this response.
He went quiet, and after a long while, he said, his voice hoarse, "If you don’t explain why you kept this watch, I’ll think..."
"Think that you once had feelings for me."
In the resting room, the only sound was their breathing.
Ji Mian stayed silent.
Yu Chuang moved closer to him, kissing Ji Mian’s neck. He had only changed into a suit jacket after work, still in his suit pants.
The heat seeped through the pants, pressing against Ji Mian’s inner thigh. Only then did he realize that he wasn’t alone in his discomfort; compared to him, Yu Chuang appeared too put-together.
Ji Mian was down to just two items of clothing, a damp, thin shirt on top, and his long, pale legs bare, pressed against Yu Chuang’s pants.
While Yu Chuang was still fully clothed, his shirt only undone at the top button.
He appeared respectable, but suddenly pressed against Ji Mian from behind.
"Wait!" Ji Mian quickly called out, his arms now free, pushing at Yu Chuang’s hips, "Wait until we get home..."
Yu Chuang didn’t listen. He lifted himself up, no longer letting Ji Mian face away from him. They locked eyes, facing each other. Yu Chuang’s palm slid down Ji Mian’s waist, murmuring seductively, "Confess that you once had feelings for me, and I’ll take you home."
"..."
Not once, but always had feelings.
Ji Mian looked into Yu Chuang’s eyes, and after a few seconds, he tilted his head up slightly.
After brushing a light kiss on Yu Chuang’s lips, he avoided his gaze and said, "...Let’s go home."
Yu Chuang’s arm gave out slightly, almost collapsing onto Ji Mian.
At this moment, even the physical desire became secondary, his mind filled only with that lightest of kisses.
He stared at Ji Mian, stunned for a while, as if confirming that the fleeting touch was not an illusion.
Ji Mian saw Yu Chuang stunned for almost half a minute, pushed against his chest, and reminded him again, "As promised, let’s go home."
He was really hungry.
Yu Chuang failed to keep his promise again.
The next moment, Ji Mian was kissed by him once more. Yu Chuang fiercely tangled and rolled his tongue in Ji Mian’s mouth, sucking until Ji Mian’s tongue went numb, and he could only breathe through his nose. When he tried to speak to stop, his throat could only swallow their saliva, making suggestive swallowing sounds, unable to make any other noise.
Ji Mian couldn’t breathe, and due to the slight suffocation, his tear glands were stimulated to secrete tears, which trickled down his temples into his hair.
Yu Chuang saw his tears, and the tongue that was wreaking havoc in Ji Mian’s mouth slowed down.
After a few seconds, he separated from Ji Mian.
He cried... because he didn’t want to?
Ji Mian took the opportunity to breathe rapidly. His forehead pressed against Yu Chuang’s shoulder, not lifting for a long time, to avoid being caught and kissed again.
"You don’t like it?" Yu Chuang asked.
"..."
Right now, saying he liked it or didn’t like it both felt wrong. Saying he liked it would mean another kiss, but saying he didn’t would hurt Yu Chuang even more.
"Not really."
"Okay." Hearing his answer, Yu Chuang wiped the tears from Ji Mian’s eyes.
As Ji Mian’s breathing steadied, Yu Chuang leaned in again.
"Hold on..."
"Hmm?"
"I’m hungry... and feeling dizzy."
Yu Chuang stopped, just as Ji Mian expected.
After a moment’s hesitation, he sat up, but his thoughts stayed with Ji Mian. He pulled Ji Mian into his arms, finally feeling grounded again.
Ji Mian: "..."
"You’re dizzy?"
Ji Mian nodded. "Yeah."
Yu Chuang checked the time on Ji Mian’s wrist. When he noticed the deep blue on Ji Mian’s wrist, his heart skipped a beat. But with Ji Mian feeling dizzy, he couldn’t act on his impulses.
Ji Mian got off work at six, and it was nearly seven by the time Yu Chuang picked him up for dinner. After waiting for their meal, they headed back to the Ji Group for more chaos...
By now, it was after nine.
Ji Mian had barely eaten before being dragged to the Ji Group, where he worked hungry for half an hour.
Yu Chuang usually wouldn’t ignore Ji Mian’s health, but tonight, self-control was nearly impossible.
Yu Chuang released Ji Mian and started unbuttoning his shirt.
Ji Mian immediately grabbed his clothes tightly, alert: "What are you doing?"
Was his usual tactic of playing the victim no longer working?
"You said you were hungry, right? Let’s eat... and get you changed."
"Oh..." Ji Mian sighed in relief.
As Ji Mian took off his shirt, he felt Yu Chuang’s eyes on his chest. Yu Chuang leaned in slightly, as if fighting the urge to get closer. His gaze didn’t waver. Ji Mian hurriedly changed and packed the dirty shirt.
Concerned about Ji Mian’s low blood sugar, Yu Chuang gave him some chocolate and sugar before driving to Li Shui New Garden.
The Ji Group was more than forty minutes away from home, and Yu Chuang felt like cursing the entire way.
*
Why is it so far!
On the way, he passed a pharmacy, pulled over, and unbuckled his seatbelt.
"What are you doing?"
"Going to the pharmacy."
Ji Mian turned to him, looking a little nervous. "Are you okay?"
"..."
Yu Chuang gave him a meaningful look for a few seconds. Ji Mian suddenly caught on, his lips twitched, and he went quiet.
Yu Chuang hated the thought of Ji Mian skipping a meal, but tonight, he had to put himself first.
Before starting dinner, he asked tentatively, "Want some noodles?"
Ji Mian shook his head, not settling for anything less.
Noodles were the fastest option, but Ji Mian wasn’t interested, so Yu Chuang dropped it.
He was still confused, with a lot of questions on his mind. Like, when did Ji Mian start liking him? How did he go from a clueless rich kid to "President Ji" in just two years?
But all those questions were pushed aside by the excitement bubbling up inside him. Ever since Ji Mian admitted he’d once liked him, Yu Chuang couldn’t focus on anything else.
His body and mind felt disconnected. He drove Ji Mian home and made dinner without a hitch, but his thoughts kept drifting back to the kiss Ji Mian had started in the lounge.
Right now, he had two goals: feed Ji Mian, then get him back to the bedroom.
Li Song usually stayed at home. When he came out to check on things late at night, he was surprised to find the two of them still up at eleven, clattering around the kitchen making dinner.
He wasn’t shocked to see Yu Chuang cooking, but it was unusual for Ji Mian to wait patiently beside him. Li Song offered to help, but Yu Chuang turned him down, so he headed back to his room.
Yu Chuang dragged a chair from the dining room to the kitchen, making Ji Mian sit beside him, not wanting him out of sight.
Ji Mian waited for dinner, tired and hungry. Yu Chuang was a great cook—honestly, in any world, his skills were top-notch.
After dinner, Yu Chuang led Ji Mian back to the bedroom.
Yu Chuang was in such a rush that they nearly tripped when he opened the bedroom door. He rubbed Ji Mian’s back through his clothes, like he was petting him.
Ji Mian was feeling sleepy, especially with Yu Chuang’s soothing touch.
He fought off sleep and asked, "What time is it?"
Yu Chuang said, "Twelve. Still early." They had at least seven hours before work the next morning.
Ji Mian didn’t respond.
"Tired?"
"Yeah."
Yu Chuang’s hand slid from Ji Mian’s back to his front.
"Mmm—" Ji Mian shivered, suddenly wide awake.
Yu Chuang kissed his forehead. "Feeling better now?"
"..."
They were still standing behind the door, the bedroom completely dark.
Yu Chuang had initially thought to turn on just a small lamp, but he didn’t want Ji Mian to get sleepy now. He raised his arm, and the room’s largest lamp flicked on, blindingly bright.
As he kissed him, Yu Chuang slid an arm around Ji Mian’s waist and laid him on the bed.
“Too bright…” Ji Mian muttered.
Yu Chuang grunted in response, unbuckled Ji Mian’s belt, and yanked off both his pants.
In the harsh light, nothing was hidden. Ji Mian hadn’t expected it to be so abrupt and rough, blushing furiously from his face to his neck, instinctively curling his legs to cover up.
Yu Chuang grabbed his knee, forcing it aside, and stared for a long moment.
“Beautiful.” He’d wanted to say that years ago, back in the hotel.
“…Shut up!”
“Fine.” Yu Chuang shut his mouth, but his hands kept moving.
The pharmacy items he’d bought were already opened and waiting by the bed.
Ji Mian, embarrassed, glanced at them and realized the night might drag on.
“Turn off the light… please?” At least turn it off.
But Yu Chuang had promised to stay quiet, and until Ji Mian was flipped over and kneeling on the bed, he didn’t say a word.
Yu Chuang pressed against his back, hand gripping Ji Mian’s collarbone, ignoring his pleas.
Ji Mian’s hot tears dripped onto Yu Chuang’s hand. He pulled back his hand, licked the tears off, and turned Ji Mian’s face to kiss him.
It wasn’t that he didn’t care, but Yu Chuang knew the tears weren’t from pain.
Yu Chuang couldn’t stand to see Ji Mian cry, so he finally softened. He sat up, leaning against the headboard, and pulled Ji Mian into his lap. He didn’t move for a while, letting Ji Mian recover.
Ji Mian looked dazed. After a moment, he leaned down and kissed Yu Chuang himself.
Yu Chuang chuckled softly, responding to his kiss.
Ji Mian, not fully conscious, straddled Yu Chuang’s lap and brought up his initial request again: “Turn off the light… I want the light off…”
Cute. Yu Chuang’s eyes sparkled with amusement. He suddenly thrust his hips, cutting off Ji Mian’s complaint and replacing it with a different tone.
