Chapter 36 Snuggling
by 江止川Chapter 36: Close Contact
Idris couldn't resist.
He even discovered, with a sense of helplessness and a desire to escape, that his body craved the male far more than he had anticipated.
So much so that, before he could even react, it was already ready for everything that might happen.
Idris felt a twinge of regret.
If only he'd put on his pajamas before coming down, he wouldn't be in such a dilemma now.
"Sir, please listen to me," Idris said, pressing on Samuel's wound with one hand and raising it, while turning sideways to retrieve the medical kit from under the table cabinet.
Throughout the entire process, he did his utmost to keep his movements and voice as normal as possible: "After I bandage your wound, I'll let Bulan know to come get you. You'll go stay with Bulan for a few days. Don't come back until I send you a message. Can you do that?"
"Why!" Samuel leaned even closer to Idris, his face filled with panic, eyes red as he asked anxiously, "Did I do something wrong again?"
"Brother, tell me what I did wrong, and I'll fix it right away. Don't send me away!"
Had he gone about it the wrong way and angered Idris?
Or had he miscalculated?
Samuel's sudden movement tugged at the hand being bandaged, and the blood that had just stopped began to stain the gauze again. The newly released pheromones, like bait, tugged deep and shallow, making the rising tide of desire surge even more fiercely.
Idris stifled a groan, inching back imperceptibly, lowering his head to avoid looking into the male's possibly reddened eyes.
Struggling to keep his voice from trembling, he fought to maintain composure and dignity: "No, it has nothing to do with you... It's just that I'm in no state to be around you right now."
"Just listen to me. Follow Bulan and leave in a little while, okay?" Idris knew what the male feared, so he promised, "I promise I'll bring you back in a few days."
"Brother, can't I stay?" Feeling rejected again, Samuel grew truly anxious. He reached out with his right hand, tightly grasping Idris's wrist, and pleaded in a trembling voice, "Here, besides you, I don't know anyone. I don't want to go to an unfamiliar place, and I don't want to leave you."
As he spoke, Samuel moved even closer than before, which was an immense trial for Idris. With the sofa armrest behind him, he had nowhere to retreat. If the male insisted on moving forward, they would end up pressed together.
If it got to that point, he might truly lose control.
Idris took a deep breath, tied the gauze into a knot, and tried feebly to pull his wrist away, saying in a hoarse voice, "Sir, please let go first, I..."
"I won't let go!!" Samuel yanked Idris's hand to the side, his eyes red as he pressed the female against the back of the sofa and leaned in to embrace him.
It happened so suddenly Idris was caught off guard. Combined with the weakness of his body during his heat, he was unable to prevent the male from succeeding.
Even so, he remained mindful of Samuel's injury, using his left hand to firmly hold the wrist, preventing the male from pressing his palm directly onto the sofa.
"Brother..." Samuel nuzzled his face against Idris's shoulder and asked plaintively, "Are you sending me away because you have another insect now?"
"I don't," Idris replied, feeling desperate. He was in no state to listen to what the male was saying.
"You do!" Samuel was extremely agitated, pouring out the questions he had kept bottled up for days. "I smelled it! Brother, you have the pheromones of other insects on you!"
"One each day, for three days in a row, every day! I asked Li'an, and he said you can only pick up pheromone scents through close contact!"
"Brother must have hugged another insect to get their pheromones on you, and now you're sending me away..."
"Brother, have you already made your choice..."
He sobbed, burying his face in Idris's shoulder, unable to stop. "Brother doesn't want me anymore... does he?"
Scalding teardrops fell like rain on Idris's skin, leaving him at a loss.
How could he not want the male? If he didn't, his body wouldn't be in such a mess, too afraid to even move.
"I do want you, and I'm not trying to send you away," Idris said, feeling a pang of guilt as he sensed the male's trembling. It was his fault. He shouldn't have come back with pheromones to provoke the male for his own purposes.
Now that he had the answer he wanted, he didn't feel the relief he'd imagined. All along, Samuel had pretended to be far too normal and well-behaved in front of him, making him think the male had recovered.
But now it seemed the illness hadn't improved at all and had even worsened because of him. Otherwise, the male wouldn't have deliberately cut himself to test him.
If it weren't for the pheromones in the blood intensifying things, he wouldn't have entered his heat early, wouldn't have had to send the male away, and the male wouldn't have broken down like this.
One wrong step led to another.
Idris sighed, released Samuel's right hand, and reached up to stroke his back, saying softly, "Sir, trust me this once, okay? I promise I won't lie to you."
"..." Samuel remained silent for a long time but ultimately didn't respond. Idris hadn't given any explanation, only speaking evasively about coming for him. He didn't believe it.
"Brother" had promised many times before that he would come for him, but he never kept a single one.
In the small courtyard, he counted the days, waiting day after day.
Every year when the pear blossoms climbed the branches, he would think, "Brother will come back this year, right?" But every year when snow weighed down the pear branches, he was still in the small courtyard.
From age 7 to 16, he waited for a very, very long time.
So long that he could only look at "brother's" paintings over and over, holding the letters that were sent, helping himself remember the words he had once said.
Eight years, over two thousand days.
He grew weary.
Weary enough to start hating promises that couldn't be kept.
Even starting to "hate" "brother."
He didn't want to hate Idris in the future.
So, as long as he didn't leave, it would be fine.
Samuel thought his idea was good. As long as he didn't leave, Idris's promise wouldn't count, and he could stay here forever.
Thinking this, Samuel stopped crying. If being weak and pitiful couldn't achieve his goal, then he would try another way.
Flexible mental threads spread from Samuel's fingertips, winding toward Idris. The moment Idris detected the mental fluctuations, he instinctively counterattacked.
He wrapped his mental energy around those few mental threads, using all his strength to flip over and straddle the male, pinning him to the sofa.
"Sir, listen to me," Idris gasped, barely stabilizing his sinking body, and leaned close to the male's ear, his voice hoarse. "I'm not feeling well these days, and your being here is difficult for me, which is why I wanted Li'an to take you away."
"Don't worry that I won't come for you." At this point, Idris couldn't help but laugh, but it was quickly interrupted by a suppressed groan. He paused for a moment before continuing, "Have you forgotten? The front door of this house has your fingerprint and facial recognition. You can come back anytime you want."
"I won't stop you, Sir. If you're willing, you can even live here permanently."
"Really?" Samuel stopped struggling, pushed Idris away slightly, and looked up intently. He wanted to confirm again, to get a definite assurance, but the sight before him left him speechless.
In his memory, Idris had always been composed, calm, and meticulous. But the insect before him now had disheveled white hair, half-open clothing, and a fine sheen of moisture covering his exposed, pale pink skin. Even those always sharp purple eyes were veiled in a mist.
At this moment, Idris was like a wrapped, wisteria-scented pink soft candy. If you pressed close and took a bite, you would surely break through the sugary coating and taste the syrup hidden inside.
Samuel's throat bobbed involuntarily. Brother, you smell so good, you look so beautiful, I really want to...
*Want what...*
Samuel tilted his head, not quite understanding. Instinctively, he leaned closer, wanting to be nearer to Idris. So he reached out both hands, wrapped them around the female's waist, and pulled the figure above him down toward himself.
Idris was already tormented by the feverish heat wracking his body to the point of a foggy mind. Feeling Samuel's movements, he instinctively tried to pull away but couldn't break free.
The male insect's actions were urgent and forceful. Idris was pressed down like this, abruptly finding himself kneeling astride the male insect's body. His body was now extremely sensitive; such intense collision and friction made him lose control over the sound in his throat.
"Hngh!"
Idris gasped, wanting to leave the male insect's body but was held down tightly. "Your Excellency... your hands... let go."
"Brother..." Samuel could already see that Idris wasn't himself. He should let go, he should immediately call for a doctor, but he didn't want Idris to leave.
Samuel stared mesmerized at the slender neck arched before him, one hand firmly encircling the female's waist, the other pressing her toward himself. He held Idris like a doll, burying his face against her neck, nuzzling like a spoiled child.
"Brother..."
"Idris... I don't feel right..."
"Mmm..." Idris trembled, grabbing the hand roaming restlessly at his waist, and dodged the head trying to nuzzle down from his collarbone. He panted, struggling to speak, "Don't move..."
"Idris..." Samuel whined.
"Your Excellency..." Idris was truly out of options. If this continued, once his heat ended, he'd end up in prison. "Mingxi... no... don't... be good..."
"Brother?" Hearing that long-unused form of address, Samuel stopped, his muddled mind clearing slightly.
"My head isn't clear right now... I can't control myself, but you can." Idris raised a hand, affectionately stroking the male insect's face. "If you keep nuzzling... you really won't get to see me anymore."
"Mingxi doesn't want brother to be taken away by the MPA, right?"
Samuel: ?!
He just wanted to snuggle with his brother! He didn't want brother to be taken away!
Then, his foggy mind finally, belatedly, remembered something important.
Idris is a female.
Although he often overlooked this fact because of his appearance, translating to the genders of his hometown, he could barely be considered "female."
And he, a male, had forcibly pulled a "female" who was clearly uncomfortable and unwilling to be close into his arms while she was in this state, and was on top of him...
How was that any different from being a bully!
He was simply a beast!
In a fit of shame and anger, Samuel slapped himself, then quickly withdrew from under Idris and shrank to the other end of the sofa.
Suddenly empty beneath him, Idris blinked in confusion. "Mingxi, what's wrong?"
Samuel buried his face in his knees, his voice muffled and thick with self-reproach. "I'm sorry, brother, I just... just now... I'm a despicable insect. Brother, please don't hate me. I don't know what came over me. I promise I won't be like this in the future."
Idris: ?
Don't say that. I don't want to hear that.
"You didn't do anything excessive, why blame yourself?" Thinking of the male insect's reaction just now, Idris was actually in a rather good mood.
He lay on his side, propping up his upper body, and beckoned to Samuel with a finger. "Mingxi, I have no strength. Can you help me back to the bedroom?"
Samuel timidly raised his head, revealing his eyes. His gaze swept over Idris's upper body and finally landed on those long, fair legs, utterly captivated.
Brother called me Mingxi and asked me to come over. Brother isn't angry; he has me in his heart.
…………
Brother is so beautiful.
