Chapter 16: First Meeting

Zhuang Yu lowered his head, feeling somewhat downcast.

Many surrounded him, showing much attention, yet none were truly willing to spend a fortune for him.

When he didn't need Mu Chen, Mu Chen was always around.

Now that he needed him, Mu Chen was nowhere to be found, causing Zhuang Yu's spirits to dampen.

Ye Shi hid in a corner, discreetly observing Zhuang Yu.

He recognized Zhuang Yu at first glance.

Ye Shi watched Zhuang Yu, who was the center of attention, and thought he indeed resembled clear crystal, understanding why Mu Chen was smitten.

"Yuehe Tavern," Mu Chen whispered as he read the tavern’s name.

Upon seeing Zhuang Yu and Chen Moran, Mu Chen felt an unusual stir in his heart.

He had tried his best to avoid Zhuang Yu, yet fate had a way of intervening. They met once again.

Ye Shi was taken aback as he watched Mu Chen walk in.

"Oh? Young Master Mu Chen has graced us with his presence," Ah Mu murmured.

Ye Shi was startled by Ah Mu's sudden appearance, "What brings you here?"

Ah Mu shrugged, commenting, "I finished up in the kitchen and came out to see what was happening. Young Master Mu Chen, you've become even more handsome."

In the past, Mu Chen was wild and unbridled, often found in hedonistic pleasures, giving off a frivolous vibe. Now, it's as if his core has changed, radiating a newfound brightness.

"It's just him. What's so handsome about that?" Ye Shi muttered, biting his lip.

Ah Mu glanced at Ye Shi, puckering her lips and remarked, "Ye Shi, you certainly have exquisite taste!"

Ye Shi's face reddened, mumbling, "He's not that impressive."

As Mu Chen entered the restaurant, he instantly noticed Ye Shi and Ah Mu. Since his soul merged with the original owner after traversing to this world, his soul power had intensified, allowing him to hear even the whispers between Ye Shi and Ah Mu.

"Ye Shi, I think Young Master Mu just glanced our way. Is he looking at us?" Ah Mu wondered.

"He just casually glanced in our direction," Ye Shi replied dismissively.

Ye Shi bit his lip, recalling the moment Mu Chen's gaze met his. Though it was brief, it left an impression.

Ye Shi mentally scolded himself for his reaction. "It's just Mu Chen. What's there to be afraid of?"

Mu Chen slightly curved the corner of his lips, secretly musing: The otherworldly handsome men are indeed numerous. Even a tavern boy possesses such striking features; he's truly my type!
