Chapter 2 The Protagonist Uke and Four Suitors II
byChapter 2: The Protagonist and His Four Suitors (Part 2)
The two legs before him were dazzlingly pale, long and shapely. Li Wu actually started massaging Shu Xian.
Shu Xian accepted Li Wu's massage service nonchalantly. After all, he was going to exit the story eventually, so he might as well enjoy the protagonist's service first, haha.
Li Wu kneaded gently, only noticing a bruise on the instep as he massaged.
Was that bruise from kicking him this morning?
How fragile. He could get hurt from kicking someone else.
After just a short while, the long legs began to turn slightly red, as if they were sensitive.
Shu Xian leaned back comfortably on the sofa, his eyes narrowed.
Li Wu's Adam's apple bobbed, his gaze darkening as he continued his movements.
From the calves to the thighs, he slowly worked his way up to the inner thighs.
Shu Xian gave a slight shudder and slapped away Li Wu's massaging hand. "What are you doing?"
He must have been crazy to ask the protagonist to massage him; he was almost touching *that*.
Li Wu's innocent eyes held a trace of confusion. "What's wrong, brother? Am I not doing it well?"
Shu Xian pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "It's nothing. You don't need to massage anymore." Well, what could an eighteen-year-old kid possibly know?
With that, he put on his slippers and clattered upstairs.
Watching the flustered, fleeing figure, Li Wu snorted inwardly. Shu Xian was actually quite cute.
Several days passed without any tasks. Shu Xian was getting a bit bored from lounging at home.
Li Wu occasionally came to curry favor with him. If this continued, how would he have the heart to carry out the later tasks?
"006, do we have to wait until one of the four suitors appears before we get a task?" Shu Xian asked in his mind.
"Theoretically, yes. After the protagonist encounters a suitor, your making things difficult will upset him, making him seek comfort, which indirectly helps their relationship deepen."
If they weren't appearing, he could go find them himself.
"Can we know the locations of those four men?"
He could just take Li Wu to meet them directly.
"Host, the protagonist must encounter them on his own. We don't have the authority to see specific locations."
Right. They were just the villainous sidekick meant to add fuel to the fire. If they had that authority, the tasks would have been completed long ago.
"Brother, why are you sighing?" Li Wu had just come downstairs and saw the person on the sofa sighing.
Shu Xian glanced at him. This Li Wu was getting more and more comfortable calling him 'brother'.
"It's nothing. You'll understand when you reach my age." Shu Xian stood up, pretending to be profound as he shook his head, clasped his hands behind his back, and walked to the kitchen to find something to eat.
*Wasn't this guy only a year older than him?*
Li Wu's gaze followed him.
Shu Xian stood in front of the refrigerator, picked up a carton of milk, and took big gulps.
With each sip, he imitated an old man drinking alcohol, smacking his lips.
"Ahh... Hah." As if the milk was burning his throat.
His fluffy head even swayed a little. So cute.
Li Wu walked over and extended a slender finger to wipe the milk from the corner of Shu Xian's mouth.
"Brother, if you have any troubles, you can tell me."
Shu Xian leaned back, touching the spot Li Wu had just wiped.
How presumptuous. This Li Wu was getting too close.
The atmosphere felt stuffy and warm. Shu Xian wanted to leave, and his tone involuntarily hardened.
"What does a kid like you know about adult matters?" After saying that, he even rolled his eyes at him.
So feisty but adorable.
Li Wu wrapped his arms around him, preventing his escape, until Shu Xian's back was pressed against the refrigerator.
"Brother, tell me about your worries."
What could he say? His worry *was* him.
"It's nothing. I'm just a bit bored staying at home."
The original host didn't have many real friends. The ones he did have just saw him as a cash cow, coaxing him into footing the bill.
The male leads hadn't appeared yet. He didn't know how much longer he'd have to stay at home.
On standby at all times, just to complete the tasks.
A wretched wage slave.
"Then, brother, shall I take you out to play tomorrow?"
Play what? *You, the protagonist, shouldn't get too friendly with the villainous sidekick.*
"Host, agree! The protagonist's halo will attract him to those four men. We might run into them." 006 hurriedly reminded.
Upon receiving the reminder, Shu Xian quickly agreed. "Alright. Then, little brother, make sure you plan something fun for me."
"Okay, brother. I'll definitely arrange something good for you."
Seeing Shu Xian happy dispelled much of the gloom in Li Wu's heart.
"Mhm, thank you then, little brother."
Shu Xian gently patted his head. Had Li Wu grown taller again in just a few days?
How irritating. Shu Xian ruffled his hair a few times, messing it up.
"Brother, I'm not that little." Li Wu grabbed the hand that was causing mischief on his head.
Shu Xian's hand was so small and soft.
"You're the younger brother, so you're littler than me, hmph."
Shu Xian tried to pull his hand back but couldn't. This kid was surprisingly strong.
"Let go."
"Your hand is so small, brother." Li Wu played with his fingers, pressing his own hand against Shu Xian's, his gentle grip easily enveloping the entire hand.
He showed no intention of letting go.
Shu Xian tugged a few more times but couldn't pull free.
Isn't this too intimate?
He's straight!
Shu Xian frowned and looked up, meeting Li Wu's eyes, which held a flash of possessiveness before instantly turning clear and innocent.
Had he seen it wrong just now?
"Brother, get some rest early. I'll take you out to play tomorrow morning." Li Wu released his hand and said.
Shu Xian's attention was immediately diverted. "Mind your own business! I'm older than you."
Shu Xian puffed out his chest and declared proudly.
What's with Li Wu's tone, as if he's taking a kid out to play?
It's really annoying.
"Alright, alright, you're the boss." Li Wu's tone carried a hint of helplessness.
Why was he so different in this life compared to the last one?
Would he... still try to harm him again?
Li Wu seemed to recall something, his eyes darkening with a dangerous glint.
He hoped his brother's performance tomorrow wouldn't disappoint him.
Otherwise, he would eliminate him too.
In this life, no one can stand in his way!
The next morning...
"Shu Xian, time to get up." Li Wu knocked on his door.
"Let's go out in the afternoon..."
Who goes out to play so early in the morning!
Shu Xian shouted toward the door, then pulled the blanket over his head and ignored him.
"Shu Xian?"
"Brother?"
Li Wu called out a few more times.
"If brother doesn't answer, I'm coming in, okay?"
Li Wu opened the door.
On the large bed, a goose-down blanket was pulled over the boy's head, revealing only a pair of slender, nice feet.
"Brother." Li Wu grasped his fair, delicate foot and gently stroked it.
Shu Xian yanked it back into the blanket and kicked out.
Damn mosquito, get lost.
"Ouch... brother, it's me."
Li Wu was kicked off the bed.
Shu Xian jolted awake and sat up.
If something happened to the male lead because of his kick, those four protectors would surely beat him to death.
"Ah, I thought it was a mosquito. Are you okay?" Shu Xian hurriedly got out of bed to help him up.
"I'm fine." Li Wu rubbed his chest. The boy looked slender and delicate, but that kick was surprisingly powerful.
"Should we call a doctor to check on you?" Shu Xian asked worriedly.
"It's fine, brother. I'll wait for you outside."
Alright, alright.
