Chapter 33 Transmigrated into a D-List Celebrity VII
byChapter 33: Transmigrated into an Eighteen-Line Nobody (Part 7)
"Hop in."
The crowd swarming the hotel entrance was getting bigger, so the production team had to offer up a car for them to leave quickly.
An Kongyu was driving, with the cameraman in the passenger seat.
Shu Xian and Li Ye were in the back seat.
Shu Xian didn’t plan to ask where they were going; he’d just sleep until they arrived.
"Let me lean on you."
Without waiting for Li Ye to agree, Shu Xian rested his head on his shoulder.
He'd gamed until the early hours and was now exhausted.
Since filming would last until midnight, he needed to catch up on sleep.
At a red light, An Kongyu took off his jacket and handed it to Li Ye, asking him to cover Shu Xian with it.
The cameraman covered his mouth, watching the subtle atmosphere among the three.
They arrived at a private estate.
"This is my friend’s estate. Feel free to explore."
The massive estate occupied the entire mountainside, exuding an almost obscene level of luxury.
The driveway from the estate entrance to the main house was long. After driving for several minutes past expansive gardens and greenery, they finally reached the front door.
How was this any different from a palace?
"My friend isn’t here, so let’s hang out first."
"What is there to do?"
Shu Xian slumped onto the sofa, exhausted from climbing the stairs earlier.
"There’s everything here. Want to play basketball?"
An Kongyu knew Li Ye could play and wanted a game with him.
"Sure."
Li Ye agreed.
"You two go ahead. I’ll rest for a bit; I’m feeling a little carsick."
Shu Xian curled up on the sofa, not wanting to move.
He didn't know what the sofa was made of, but it was crazy comfortable.
"Alright, rest up. We’ll come get you later."
"Okay."
There was only one cameraman. After a moment of hesitation, he followed the two bigger stars.
The original owner of this body had actually acted before—during the AI’s control of it.
Although it was only a minor supporting role, it was met with widespread ridicule online.
So, he simply gave up on approaching Film Emperor An through acting and switched to variety shows instead.
"Host, there’s an error in the plot. A task was missing."
"We found it now."
Shu Xian was confused.
"You need to perform a villainous task against Li Ye, slandering him in front of important characters."
"Seriously, this again?"
Every time he got along well with someone, this kind of task would pop up.
"What kind of villainous task?"
Though annoyed, he still asked.
"Host, it will be automatically released based on the situation at the time."
…
Thinking back to the vicious dialogue from his previous life.
Shu Xian shuddered.
Well, he had planned to trim his toenails, but now he didn’t need to—he’d keep them long to dig into the ground.
Shu Xian didn’t dwell on it any longer. He took out his phone and lay on the sofa, scrolling through it.
"Oh, you have guests here?"
Shu Lin had just entered the main gate when he spotted someone lying on the sofa.
Was it Tang Ke’s boyfriend?
"What guests?"
Aside from An Kongyu, no one else ever came here.
And this person's build didn't look like An Kongyu's.
The two approached.
"Shu Xian?"
Why was Shu Xian here?
"Your brother?"
The one spoiled rotten by their parents, whom Shu Lin despised to the extreme?
"Wake up."
Shu Lin tugged at his arm, annoyed. "Hmm? Brother?"
When did he fall asleep? Shu Xian woke up and hurriedly sat up.
"Why are you here?"
Shu Lin asked.
"I came with Film Emperor An and the others. They went out to play ball."
Shu Xian answered truthfully.
Tang Ke checked his phone; An Kongyu had messaged him before coming.
"Yeah, Kongyu sent me a message. I just missed it."
Tang Ke said to Shu Lin.
"Let's go get something to eat. They're headed to the restaurant too."
This sentence Tang Ke said to Shu Xian.
Although Shu Lin always criticized his younger brother, Tang Ke hadn't found anything wrong with Shu Xian yet.
On the contrary, he was quite cute just after waking up.
"Let's go."
Shu Lin spoke directly to Tang Ke, not even looking at him.
Shu Xian lowered his head and hurriedly put on his shoes, then caught up with them.
This manor was so big; he really didn't want to get lost.
"Brother."
Shu Xian ran up and grabbed the corner of his clothes. Although it was noon, the house was so large it was hard to tell what time it was.
After the motion-sensor lights shut off, the corridor was pitch black. Looking back a few more times, it felt like something terrifying was lurking in the depths.
"Let go."
"No."
Shu Xian held on tightly.
Shu Lin scoffed, "Scaredy-cat."
"If Shu Xian is scared, you can hold onto me."
Tang Ke said with a smile.
"No need, thank you."
*You and your manor are equally terrifying.*
Tang Ke had a gentle face, but when he smiled, the warmth didn't reach his eyes, making Shu Xian feel very uncomfortable.
Better to stay closer to his so-called brother.
Thinking this, he pressed even closer. "Brother, slow down a bit."
Afraid Shu Lin would shake him off, Shu Xian held on even tighter.
Tang Ke walked behind them, his footsteps light. After the motion-sensor lights went out, standing in the shadows made him even more frightening.
Shu Xian felt like he was about to jump out of his skin.
As they walked, the corridor suddenly plunged into complete darkness. Shu Xian stomped a few times, but the motion-sensor lights didn't turn on.
"Brother, I'm scared."
Shu Xian grabbed Shu Lin's arm.
"Collected Shu Lin's 'Gaze' +5. Current progress: 5/60."
A slight smile played on Shu Xian's lips. So he liked a younger brother who depended on him.
"Host, don't be scared. I'm here. I'll protect you if anything happens."
006 felt a bit heartbroken hearing its host's panicked voice.
He must be really frightened.
"It's okay. Brother is here."
Sensing the person beside him trembling, Shu Lin still comforted him.
No matter how much he disliked him, he was still his younger brother after all.
"Alright, stop messing around."
Shu Lin turned and said to Tang Ke.
"Hehe, sorry, I scared little brother Shu Xian."
Tang Ke pressed a button on the remote in his hand, and the entire house and corridor lit up.
There were no motion-sensor lights at all; Tang Ke had been controlling everything.
…
Boring. Immature.
"Host, don't be scared. It was all fake."
"Who said I was scared?"
He wasn't even afraid of haunted houses in graveyards; why would this scare him?
Earned five favorability points. Sweet.
"Brother, I want to go home."
Shu Xian pulled on Shu Lin's clothes with a choked voice.
With reddened eyes, he looked like a little kitten at that moment, both scared and bristling.
"Okay, we'll go home after we finish recording."
If Shu Xian could always be this well-behaved, he'd let the past be.
"Collected Shu Lin's 'Gaze' +5. Current progress: 10/60."
Hehe~
When the younger brother acts spoiled, the gege's soul starts to float~
