Chapter 133 Could They All Be Sick?
byChapter 133: Could It Be That Everyone Is Sick?
"Fu Zhangzhou... hurry up..."
"Let go..."
Fang Ran was losing his mind.
The Omega's pheromones were running wild, further intensified by psychic stimulation.
His whole body trembled, and he could barely hold onto a shred of clarity. The words he managed to utter were incoherent, his voice sounding more like a whimpering sob.
The Sentinel clearly heard him and slowly loosened his hold. After a moment, he reluctantly let go of the Omega's gland.
But at the same time, the rose in the Spiritual Sea went wild.
The dark blossoms wildly churned the psychic energy, speeding up the merging at an alarming rate.
Fang Ran had just felt the relief on the back of his neck when he suddenly sensed the intense heat in his Spiritual Sea. The indescribable sensation brought tears to his eyes.
Stimulated to the point of about to jump back, Fang Ran was held tight by Fu Zhangzhou.
The corners of his eyes were slightly red, his gaze filled with shock and disbelief as he stared at the man before him.
"Your psychic energy... what are you doing..."
"You bastard... slow down!"
The Sentinel lowered his head to meet his gaze, a wicked grin playing on his lips.
"Weren't you the one who told me to hurry? Now you want me to go fast and slow down at the same time."
"Fang Ran, you're making things so hard for me."
The person in his arms was cursing him but held onto his arm tightly, flustered but unwilling to pull away—like a kitten that only hisses but doesn't bite.
Fu Zhangzhou's lips curled slightly as he brought the overbearing psychic energy under control. The storm in the Spiritual Sea gradually subsided.
The Sentinel reached out again and gently patted Fang Ran's back.
"Feeling better now?"
Hot breath fanned his ear, but Fang Ran couldn't hear a word the Sentinel was saying.
His mind was in total chaos, unable to form a clear thought.
His entire body felt as if it were on fire, his rationality burning away.
Who could save him?
Fang Ran gazed up dazedly, his eyes meeting those of the man before him.
This person carried the scent he longed for.
A scent that made him dependent, gave him comfort, and drove him wild.
Fang Ran instinctively reached out, lightly tracing the Sentinel's brows and eyes before gently touching the corner of his lips.
His eyes held countless unspoken emotions as he whispered:
"Hurry up..."
The room fell into silence, an unspoken electricity flowing between their locked gazes.
Fu Zhangzhou's eyes darkened in an instant, burning with intensity as they traveled over the Guide's face.
"Fang Ran, do you know what you're doing?"
Fang Ran closed his eyes, with a pout, and refused to look at him.
"I told you to hurry up—Fu Zhangzhou, didn't you say you always listen to your Guide?"
Fu Zhangzhou's breath caught at his words, the amusement in his eyes deepening. He then took Fang Ran's hand, brought it to his lips, and brushed his lips against the back of it.
"Your wish is my command."
"I've always been the one who listens to my Guide the most."
"..."
"..."
"Fang Ran, relax."
"..."
"Just... relax..."
"..."
"...Feel."
**********
"Can you stand steady?"
"Mmm..."
Fang Ran buried his face against the Sentinel's neck.
Fu Zhangzhou looked at this rare, clingy behavior and felt utterly unwilling to let go. He couldn't help but think to himself that now was really not the right time.
The Sentinel reached out and tucked back the stray hairs near the Guide's ear. "Why are you sweating so much? Are Omegas made of liquid?"
Fang Ran squirmed slightly and mumbled, "Shut up."
Fu Zhangzhou chuckled, holding him contentedly.
They left the lounge with exactly one minute to spare.
Just as they stepped out, they heard the sound of a door opening from the room next to them.
"Click."
Zhong Wan and Lu Wenchuan had also emerged.
Fang Ran turned his head and met his friend's gaze.
Zhong Wan's face was flushed, his expression clearly flustered.
Fang Ran was surprised, though he knew his own complexion probably wasn't any better than Zhong Wan's.
Zhong Wan: "......"
Fang Ran: "......"
After a moment of silence, both could only let out awkward laughs awkwardly.
Zhong Wan: "The soundproofing in these rooms is really good. Didn’t hear a thing. Ha ha."
Fang Ran: "Yeah, I didn’t hear anything either. Heh heh."
Fu Zhangzhou chuckled along with them, "We were just doing a Purify. What are you two so nervous about?"
He gave Lu Wenchuan a meaningful look, "Isn’t that right, Sentinel Lu Wenchuan?"
Lu Wenchuan, unusually, didn’t join in this time. He seemed distracted, yet his eyes didn’t leave his Guide.
Fu Zhangzhou patted his shoulder, "Let’s head back to the scene first, or Lu Wenshan is gonna kill us later."
Lu Wenchuan, clearly spaced out, replied blankly, "Really?"
He shook his head, then nodded, "Alright, let’s get them back first."
Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps approached.
Lu Wenbai appeared around the corner looking frantic, stopping only when he saw the group.
"Guide Fang Ran, Guide Zhong Wan, you’re all here?" He wore an expression of desperate near-desperation. "You have no idea how long I’ve been looking for you. Thank goodness..."
Fang Ran felt guilty. He had only said he was going out to wash my face but ended up disappearing for over an hour.
"Sentinel Lu Wenbai, my apologies... Fu Zhangzhou’s situation was urgent. I ran into him in the hallway and did an emergency Purify."
The young Sentinel quickly waved his hands, his face full of relief as if he had cheated death.
"It’s fine, it’s fine. As long as you’re both safe."
Otherwise, my eldest cousin and these two S-ranks would’ve killed me.
"But... Guide Fang Ran, why is your face even redder now?"
"And Guide Zhong Wan, yours is too..."
His eyes darted between Fang Ran and Zhong Wan, "You two... aren’t both coming down with something?"
"What’re you talking about, kid?" Fu Zhangzhou threw an arm over his shoulder. "Your second cousin and I just used up too much energy in battle and came back for a purification."
"Oh, oh." Lu Wenbai kept nodding.
But what does purification have to do with blushing?
......
On the way back to the lounge, Fang Ran and Zhong Wan were dead quiet. Even Lu Wenbai, walking behind them, didn’t say a word.
Fang Ran breathed a long sigh.
Though his face was still flushed, his condition had stabilized significantly.
These two temporary marks were clearly more successful than yesterday’s. The aura and mental energy Fu Zhangzhou had left behind had effectively eased the restlessness in his body. Just the thought of the Sentinel coming back every so often made him feel better.
Fang Ran glanced at his friend out of the corner of his eye and noticed Zhong Wan kept his head down, as if avoiding his gaze.
Zhong Wan wasn’t usually like this. Something must have happened between him and Lu Wenchuan too...
"Zhong Wan."
"Fang Ran, it’s not what you think," Zhong Wan said reflexively.
"I was telling you to watch where you’re going," Fang Ran pointed at the person who had just passed by. "You almost bumped into someone."
Zhong Wan looked up.
"Why are there so many people here all of a sudden?"
