    Chapter 19

The man kneeling on the ground gulped and gasped clumsily.

The shadow on the floor turned back, returning to the stairs, continuing to discuss work on the phone. His lingering presence kept Jiang Mo's heart lodged in his throat.

If the shadow moved any higher, it might even touch the food in his mouth.

To quickly eat the cream without being detected, Jiang Mo had to change his approach. Instead of simply eating, he began to slurp and lick.

Chen Zui's shadow never noticed the man secretly eating under the stairs. Finally, he uttered the words Jiang Mo had been hoping for: "Forget it, I’ll go back to the company to check."

A look of relief and joy burst forth in Jiang Mo's eyes. To Chen Zui, it seemed both foolish and pitiful—foolish enough to provoke a desire to bully, pitiful enough to inspire a craving to consume.

While eating, Jiang Mo kept an eye on the shadow and listened for sounds. Chen Zui seemed to glance toward the stairs but ultimately left with reluctance.

In such a situation, it even crossed his mind: Was Chen Zui regretful about not seeing the kitten, or regretful about not seeing him?

He felt something was off with himself.

But Chen Zui didn’t give him much time to think or process his emotions. As a reward for his 20 minutes of effort, Chen Zui grabbed the back of Jiang Mo's head, holding him firmly in place.

    —

    —

Generously, he fed Jiang Mo all the cream he desired at that moment, filling his mouth to the brim. To avoid choking, Jiang Mo’s body instinctively swallowed continuously.

Tears sprang to his eyes from the strain.

Only then did Chen Zui release his grip. Jiang Mo braced himself on his hands, coughing uncontrollably.

    What a sight.

Chen Zui admired the view for a moment before preparing to leave. Worried about the safety of Chen Zui, who had just departed, Jiang Mo grabbed his leg.

Chen Zui raised an eyebrow: "Want another round?"

The hand holding him hesitated, loosening and tightening its grip. Jiang Mo lowered his head, his saliva and forced tears wetting the ground in front of him. He rasped, "You promised me you wouldn’t hurt him."

Chen Zui slowly lifted his foot, using the tip of his shoe to raise Jiang Mo’s chin and lift his head. Gazing at that pitiful face—eyes like a wolf cub's, glistening with tears, red lips slightly cracked at the corners—he stared at him and said, "Don’t worry, I always keep my promises to you."

Once again, these words felt more like a threat to the "victim." Jiang Mo stubbornly held onto him for over ten minutes, estimating that Chen Zui had probably driven away before finally letting go.

    "Baby."

"You caring so much about him really pisses me off~"

With those words, Chen Zui left.

Ao Tian excitedly exclaimed, "You can play like this too! So thrilling!"

Chen Zui recalled the taste from earlier. That mouth was excellent for both kissing and eating, though... remembering the small cracks at the corners of Jiang Mo’s lips, he thought he needed to be gentler next time.

Chen Zui: "Why does your Dark Transmigration Bureau target the top?"

Ao Tian: "Because we’re here to cause trouble!"

Ao Tian: "You’re a natural at causing trouble~"

Chen Zui: "Thanks for the compliment."

    —

Jiang Mo got up from the ground like a walking corpse, head hanging low and shoulders slumped as he slowly climbed the stairs. After returning home, he locked the door, gripping the sturdy chain for a sense of security. Suddenly, he turned and bolted into the bathroom, furiously brushing his teeth.

He brushed over and over again until the mouthwash turned bloody before he finally stopped.

On the verge of a mental breakdown, he went to the toilet and stuck his fingers down his throat, trying to vomit everything out, but in the end, he only dry-heaved several times.

Enraged, he punched the edge of the toilet.

    Damn it!

    Damn that bastard!

Jiang Mo was like a cornered beast, his suppressed emotions driving him to the brink of madness. He needed to vent to catch his breath, and malice often flows toward the weak.

    He thought of Chen Xiu.

How could he team up with Xiao Hang to deceive him? Why? Why couldn’t he just behave!

Shaking with anger, he took out his phone, his hands trembling as he opened the chat interface with Chen Xiu.

"Joining others to harm me, you’ve really disappointed me."

He clicked send, but a red X appeared.

Jiang Mo froze. There was only a red X and nothing else. He tried sending it again, but it still didn’t go through. His brows furrowed in confusion. Had his phone service been suspended due to unpaid bills?

He called to check, only to receive the message: "Your phone number has been deactivated."

    Jiang Mo: ...

He stood there in a daze, holding his phone. His phone number had been deactivated... That old man wouldn’t just suddenly deactivate his number for no reason. Had his family found out, or had he been...

    "Fuck!"

Everything came crashing down on him. Each and every thing was beyond his control, finally pushing him over the edge. The man went berserk, smashing the coffee table in the living room, kicking over the sofa, and eventually collapsing to the ground in a breakdown.

Chen Zui was soaking in the bath, the flameless fragrance diffuser emitting a faint, soothing scent.

Ao Tian: "What do we do next?"

Chen Zui picked up his wine glass: "Wait."

    Ao Tian: "Wait for what?"

Chen Zui took a sip of wine, strategizing: "Wait for a fish to swim into the net."

His phone rang. The caller ID showed: Jiang Mo.

Chen Zui smirked and answered. He could hear the other person’s noticeably unsteady breathing. In a gentle tone, he called out: "Jiang Mo."

After a moment, the other person replied softly: "Mr. Chen."

"It’s so late. Is there something you need?" Chen Zui asked.

Still sitting on the living room floor, Jiang Mo buried his head in his knees. It wasn't about anything in particular—he felt so wronged and desperately needed some solace. The only person he could think of was Mr. Chen, and he also wanted to take this opportunity to confirm that the other was safe.

    So he couldn’t answer anything.

Chen Zui didn’t press further on the question: “I originally planned to come over to your place tonight, but something came up at the company, so I came back.”

Listening to Chen Zui’s pleasant voice, Jiang Mo felt as if his emotions were being soothed. He knew—back then, he was right under that staircase with that creep…

He felt even more wronged, his eyes silently welled up with tears.

    Was this his punishment?

Because he had done something bad.

    “Jiang Mo, I…”

“I won’t disturb you any further, Mr. Chen.”

After saying this, Jiang Mo hung up the phone. He was afraid that if he didn’t hang up soon, Mr. Chen would hear him crying. He scrubbed at his eyes hard—How pathetic of me!

Chen Zui glanced at his phone.

Ao Tian: “Should we make our entrance now?”

    Chen Zui: “You’re really clever.”

    Ao Tian: “Not really~ (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)”

Jiang Mo refused to let himself cry over something like this. He got up, cleaned the living room, finished washing up, poured himself a glass of hot water, and sat on the sofa to think about what he should do next.

With Xiao Hang’s help, Chen Xiu was now completely out of his control, and he couldn’t even get in touch with him anymore.

As for that creep, who knew when he would show up next? And what would he make him do when he did?

Weighing the priorities, after some consideration, he decided he could only temporarily set aside the issue with Chen Xiu and focus first on dealing with that creep. Once that threat was gone, whether he wanted to continue tracking Chen Xiu or ensure Mr. Chen’s safety, he could do so without worry.

Jiang Mo took a sip of water. How could he get rid of that guy?

He opened the surveillance app and reviewed the footage from when the creep had appeared before, trying to find any clues. At the same time, he entertained the idea of setting a trap to lure the snake out of its hole with the goal of catching him.

But this would require careful planning.

    “Knock, knock—”

The sound of knocking made Jiang Mo jump. He walked softly to the door and, through the peephole, saw Mr. Chen’s handsome face. He unlocked the door as fast as he could and ushered Chen Zui in.

“Mr. Chen, what brings you here?”

Chen Zui was holding food and alcohol, his eyes behind the glasses observing Jiang Mo.

“I hope I’m not disturbing you.”

    “Not at all.”

Chen Zui handed him the items: “I brought some grilled skewers. Mind keeping me company for a late-night snack?”

Jiang Mo took them. Of course, he didn’t mind. It dawned on him that Mr. Chen must have been worried after receiving his call and had come specifically to check on him.

He really was such a good person.

    Ao Tian: “Favorability: 47.”

    “It’s my honor.”

Jiang Mo brought the skewers and beer to the coffee table, dutifully laying everything out. Chen Zui petted the kitten’s head for a while before going to wash up and taking a seat on the sofa.

Jiang Mo remained sitting on the small stool.

Chen Zui opened a can of beer, his gaze falling on Jiang Mo’s mouth: “What’s wrong with your mouth?”

Jiang Mo touched his lips, looking confused.

Chen Zui leaned closer and pointed at the corner of his mouth: “It’s cracked.”

Chen Zui joked with a smile: “Did you eat something that stretched your mouth corner until it cracked?”

Jiang Mo’s face flushed red instantly. Unwanted memories surfaced in his mind, and he felt he didn’t deserve to sit next to Mr. Chen. He lowered his head awkwardly.

“Su-sugarcane. I ate some sugarcane and accidentally cut myself.”

Chen Zui’s eyes behind his glasses glinted with amusement: “Oh, was that sugarcane sweet?”

Recalling it, Jiang Mo’s tone turned dark and angry: “No, it was the worst-tasting thing in the world!”

Chen Zui watched him as he took a sip of beer.

Jiang Mo only then realized his tone might have been inappropriate, but he still added resentfully: “I’m never eating sugarcane again.”

    Chen Zui laughed.

    Kind of cute.

But sugarcane should still be eaten. This mouth might hate it, but the other one might like it.

His laughter made Jiang Mo’s face turn even redder. Without a word, he took a big gulp of beer.

After they'd had a few drinks, the conversation, deliberately steered by Chen Zui, took a suggestive turn.

Though Jiang Mo was socially awkward and quiet, he was trying his best to keep up.

    “Jiang Mo.”

Jiang Mo turned to look at the man on the sofa. The buttons of his black shirt had somehow come undone, revealing well-defined collarbones and a glimpse of toned chest muscles. The masculine energy was almost palpable, making Jiang Mo grip his beer can tighter.

He hardly dared to look directly into those eyes darkened by drink behind the glasses. He was so nervous he even forgot to breathe, unsure what Mr. Chen would say next.

Time stretched out in Chen Zui’s silence. Even the sound of water droplets sliding down the beer can seemed deafening. Jiang Mo felt like a convict awaiting sentencing, hoping for a verdict of not guilty from Chen Zui’s lips.

Chen Zui savored Jiang Mo’s torment, relishing how his emotions shifted with every word and expression from him.

    “Let’s watch some porn.”

    Jiang Mo: O_O

Well-fed and well-watered, lustful thoughts arise. Mr. Chen seemed a bit drunk too.

Back in middle and high school, teenage boys often gathered to sneak around watching this kind of material—but no one had ever invited him.

This could count as making up for what he'd missed.

Besides, he couldn't say no to Mr. Chen.

Chen Zui gestured for him to sit next to him, then took out his phone.

Jiang Mo felt somewhat embarrassed, sitting stiffly from nervousness, with his hands placed on his legs. As he got closer, he could catch Mr. Chen's faint fragrance.

His mouth went dry; he swallowed hard.

Chen Zui skillfully opened the video: "Watch this."

Jiang Mo shifted his gaze over and then froze. The person in the video couldn't be seen, as the camera was focused on a black toy already inserted inside.

    He recognized that toy!

And he recognized this person too!

Countless questions flooded his mind in an instant, but nothing compared to the shock of realizing he was watching his own... video with Chen Zui!

He even felt a wave of dizziness.
