Chapter 84

Can This Also Become a Tentacle?
Ren Feng's pupils twitched as he looked at the object pressed against his cheek. Even resting quietly there, it exuded an intimidating presence. He was quite familiar with it, having spent a good part of their journey helping to reduce its swelling.
It can turn into a tentacle?
What would that be like?
Ren Feng couldn't help but grow curious. He had bitten the baby octopus's tentacles before; they were firm yet springy, with a delightful texture. If this thing turned into a tentacle, would it feel the same?
The warm, breathing entity, carrying its inherent scent mixed with rose fragrance, was practically an aphrodisiac.
As his mind wandered through these chaotic thoughts, he saw it begin to change form, morphing into the shape of a tentacle. The tip tapered into a slender point, which, with a single flick, hooked the corner of his mouth and slipped inside.
In that moment, Ren Feng was too dazed to clearly distinguish what exactly he was tasting.
But as a tentacle enthusiast, his resistance to a tentacle offered right to his mouth was extremely low. Without any conscious reaction, he allowed the tentacle to nimbly enter his mouth, filling the warm cavity and entangling itself with his soft, pliant tongue.
Out of curiosity, he bit down gently on the tentacle. It had a firm texture. The rose scent was now overshadowed by another familiar flavor, one he had to savor carefully to detect.
Chen Zui watched as Ren Feng’s mouth was filled by the tentacle. Instead of anger, the man seemed to be… tasting it, his tongue actively exploring every inch of the tentacle, even prodding experimentally at the suckers.
Chen Zui drew a slow, measured breath.
The tentacle pressed deeper, toward his throat. Ren Feng, oblivious, remained engrossed in savoring the tentacle, his tongue probing everywhere like an attentive servant or a pervert with a taste for monsters.
Chen Zui’s dark eyes fixed on the entranced Ren Feng. The man’s handsome face was slightly distorted by his wide-open mouth.
What a lewd sight.
Chen Zui’s eyes darkened, and the tentacle reverted to its original form. Ren Feng, slow to catch the change, continued his sensual exploration, his mouth forming a perfect circle.
Chen Zui deliberately pulled back slightly, then moved closer again, watching as a throbbing vein brushed against those flushed, red lips.
The contrast between the menacing and the soft was visually striking, impactful enough to make one want to see it again and again.
Ren Feng blinked rapidly several times, sensing something was amiss. He wanted to speak but found himself unable. His gaze shifted to Chen Zui, meeting dark eyes that held a predatory aggression and a monster's coldness, fixed intently on his mouth. A shiver ran through him.
It had become a tentacle again.
Ren Feng noticed the change quickly this time. The texture felt slightly different. One moment he saw and tasted the tentacle, but the moment it fully filled his mouth, the thing inside seemed to transform into…
By the time he looked again, it was a tentacle once more. It kept shifting back and forth so rapidly that sometimes he even felt both sensations simultaneously—subtle yet intensely stimulating, causing saliva to drip uncontrollably from his mouth as if he were some ravenous glutton.
A soft tentacle suddenly brushed against his throat. Ren Feng broke out in goosebumps, his scalp tingling. In that instant, he realized something: a tentacle could go completely into his body.
Just as this thought occurred to him, the Chen Zui before him suddenly transformed into an octopus—a gigantic octopus so large it nearly touched the ceiling, occupying every inch of space in the room.
A massive black octopus, nothing like the cute, small baby octopus. But for a tentacle enthusiast like Ren Feng, it wasn't frightening. His eyes lit up as they fell upon the writhing, rolling tentacles.
So thick, so long.
He suspected this still wasn't Chen Zui's true, original form; the room was probably limiting his size.
All the tentacles suddenly surged toward him in unison, slithering under his clothes to wrap around his legs, his waist, his neck. His clothes strained and tore, falling away in tatters. The tentacles coiled around him layer upon layer, quickly obscuring Ren Feng from view. He was completely enveloped, every part of his body simultaneously being suckled by the suckers as if receiving countless kisses.
Ren Feng nearly screamed, but his mouth was blocked by a tentacle, rendering him silent.
He could only endure the sensations wordlessly.
Almost instantly.
Small white spots appeared on the black tentacles, trickling down their smooth skin.
—
The octopus's massive body filled the entire room. Its tentacles writhed incessantly, and through the occasional gaps, glimpses of a human body could be seen. The human was like a doll for the octopus to manipulate at will, posed in constantly changing positions.
It seemed the octopus was quite fond of this doll.
It kept feeding the doll.
Ao Tian, having shut off its visual perception, relied entirely on imagination. Although it had partnered with many hosts before, they were all in human form. The thought of an octopus was… quite thrilling.
If it ever had the chance to become a monster itself, it would choose to be a dragon. Because dragons have two... fitting for its identity as the ultimate top.
Ao Tian thought happily to itself.
—
Ren Feng slept fitfully, his bronzed body covered in clear welts—circle upon circle, a rather pitiful sight. That thing which was always causing him trouble now lay shrunken and limp, looking utterly exhausted.
Chen Zui tossed the towel he’d used to wipe Ren Feng’s body into a basin.
Ren Feng turned over, pulling the blanket around himself, completely spent. Later, he’d nearly pissed himself from the strain.
The baby octopus jumped over Ren Feng. Noticing the split at the corner of Ren Feng’s mouth, it placed a tentacle there. When the tentacle was removed, the cut had healed completely.
Ao Tian: "Oh, I just realized, with a skill like this, couldn't we just keep going indefinitely..."
Ao Tian: "Wait, no, that's not right. It heals, but it doesn't restore stamina."
Ao Tian: "His stamina isn't the important part anyway; the key is you. So it should still be possible... After all, the healing ensures you won't break him."
As if sensing Ao Tian's wicked thoughts in his sleep, Ren Feng curled his body tighter.
Ao Tian: "Looks like it's almost time. Next time should be the one where we fully claim him~"
Chen Zui yawned, lay down, and pulled Ren Feng into his arms. "You're such a lucky star. The mission is nearly complete since you showed up."
Ao Tian: "Aww~ It's not just me~ It's mainly because you're working hard, host."
Chen Zui: "We cooperate well together."
These words truly struck a chord with Ao Tian. He and his host were perfectly in sync, even their thoughts aligned. They were natural partners!
Ao Tian felt pleased inside.
The baby octopus didn't heal the welts on Ren Feng's body, intentionally leaving these mark-like imprints on the sexy physique. Chen Zui took his time admiring them for a while.
Early in the morning, things were already lively outside.
Ren Feng woke up. He wasn't one for sleeping in. He opened his eyes, lay dazed for a moment, and then memories of the previous night gradually resurfaced. Subconsciously, he pressed his lips together.
This... probably counted as his offering to Chen Zui.
"Enough already," Ren Feng probably thought.
The man silently groaned, covering his face with a hand, too ashamed to face anyone.
Baby Octopus jumped onto his head, lowered its big head, and insisted on using its tentacles to move away the fingers covering Ren Feng’s face, straining to see him through the gaps.
Ren Feng met its gaze and removed his hand.
He picked up Baby Octopus in his palm, gently stroking its round head with his fingers, wondering if Baby Octopus had seen the scene from last night.
He shouldn’t corrupt Baby Octopus’s pure mind, but as soon as this thought emerged, he immediately dismissed it. Recalling the two gifts Baby Octopus had given him, perhaps Baby Octopus would have enjoyed watching.
He still felt a bit embarrassed.
He found the tentacle where Baby Octopus had been bitten by a mosquito earlier and, seeing the bump still there, began scratching it for him.
Baby Octopus lay in his palm, supporting its head with one tentacle, watching Ren Feng’s actions.
"You’re awake?" Chen Zui, who had finished washing up, returned to the room and greeted him in a casual tone.
Ren Feng’s eyes darted toward him before turning away. The thought of what happened last night made him too embarrassed to meet his gaze. At first, he felt he had been at a disadvantage because only he had been on the receiving end from Chen Zui. But upon further reflection, Chen Zui had been taking care of him all night, so maybe it wasn’t so bad after all.
He had mixed feelings.
He could only continue lowering his head to scratch Baby Octopus’s itch.
Baby Octopus was taken away by a hand with distinct knuckles, forcing Ren Feng to face Chen Zui. He raised his gaze and forced a smile. "Morning."
Given Chen Zui’s personality, he would probably say something to tease him. Just the thought made Ren Feng not know what to do with himself.
"Morning, go get cleaned up and eat," Chen Zui said, taking Baby Octopus and leaving the room.
His attitude was natural.
He didn’t tease him.
Ren Feng was stunned for a second before letting out a sigh of relief.
Ao Tian: "His favorability toward you is 70%. Last night, his favorability toward you even increased. Not sure if it was because he was satisfied with the meal or your tentacles, heh heh heh~"
One of the two tasks had already been completed.
Chen Zui went downstairs, where Gao Qiang and Hu Xue were chatting happily in the yard. As he approached, he overheard them discussing where to plant trees, flowers, and where to put a swing in the yard.
Seeing him,
Hu Xue asked, "Is there anything you’d like to do in the yard?"
Gao Qiang ran to the area near the yard entrance. "Just letting you know, this spot is already reserved by me. I’m going to plant a love tree here for me and Xiao Xue."
Hu Xue simply said to Chen Zui, "Ignore him."
Then her gaze fell on Baby Octopus perched on Chen Zui’s shoulder, and she clapped her hands. "That’s right, we should build a pool in the yard for Baby Octopus."
Gao Qiang loved her idea.
Ren Feng stood in front of the bathroom mirror, looking at the marks on his body, feeling that they looked quite erotic.
There were marks everywhere except for his upper thigh.
The tentacles had slid back and forth there last night, chafing his bronze skin until it turned red.
The suction cups had left several marks as well.
Ren Feng hurriedly got dressed, too embarrassed to examine them closely.
On his way downstairs, he encountered Hu Yue.
The energetic young girl greeted him cheerfully.
After staying there for three days, the group decided to remain there temporarily.
They hadn’t found any issues with the place. Every day, some of them went out to fight monsters and rescue people, while those who stayed in the town focused on cleaning up.
Except for the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled, everyone was doing their part.
They found Kang Haiqing, who was not at all surprised that they had decided to stay. Anyone who spent a few days there would choose to remain.
The place had a certain charm.
He looked at Ren Feng and Gao Qiang. "So, the two of you are Superhumans?"
Ren Feng answered him with action, conjuring a ball of clean, clear water in his hand. Gao Qiang, seeing this, also displayed his Superpower.
Kang Haiqing didn’t quite understand Gao Qiang’s ability at first. Gao Qiang told him to punch him, and after one punch, Kang Haiqing understood what his Superpower was. It was similar to Brother Wang’s ability—those with this kind of Superpower usually served as defenders in operations, acting as human shields.
Their group of five had two Superhumans, no wonder they seemed to be living comfortably.
However...
Kang Haiqing looked at Baby Octopus, which was wrapped around Chen Zui’s neck like a pink ascot. "What is that?"
He knew it was an octopus, but this octopus didn’t seem like a monster. Yet, it wasn’t in water and still looked sleek and moist, especially with its big, round eyes darting about, making it seem intelligent.
"It’s a pet," everyone said in unison, except for Chen Zui.
Ao Tian chuckled to himself, never expecting that Chen Zui would one day be reduced to the status of a pet. Even if it was just one of his avatars, it was still amusing.
Kang Haiqing seemed puzzled.
Hu Xue said, "He’s not aggressive. He’s very important to us; he’s our companion."
"If this place can’t accept him, then we’ll have to leave."
She spoke with great determination.
Baby Octopus looked at Hu Xue with appreciation in its eyes.
Kang Haiqing eyed the little creature that could be squashed with one hand. With so many Superhumans in the town, even if it were a monster, it wouldn’t be able to cause much trouble. Moreover, there was no reason for this group to side with monsters and help them harm surviving humans.
He smiled. "No need to be so serious. I was just asking. But since he’s yours, you must take responsibility for keeping him in line. Don’t let him cause trouble. If he hurts anyone, we won’t be able to tolerate him. You know how much people hate monsters."
Everyone understood his concerns.
Hu Xue said, "Don’t worry, we understand."
Since they had decided to stay, they had to accept the arrangements there and start contributing to the revival of humanity. Ren Feng and Gao Qiang, as Superhumans, were assigned tasks outside.
The Hu sisters were assigned to care for the injured.
Chen Zui was clearly strong and was assigned to repair houses.
—
Ren Feng left the town with Baby Octopus, Gao Qiang, and another ice-type Superhuman, Zhang Chuanshan. Their mission was to search for survivors to the town's left.
If they encountered monsters, they were to take them out; if they found supplies, they were to collect them.
Zhang Chuanshan was in his fifties, with a noticeably receding hairline. Although he used to have a beer belly, he'd lost it after years of going hungry. Despite his age, he was bouncing off the walls with energy and enthusiasm, acting like a kid hopped up on sugar.
He often shouted slogans like, "Let’s defeat the monsters! Revive humanity!" and would frequently start sentences with, "Back in the day..."
While such openings usually led to tall tales, Zhang Chuanshan would say, "Back in the day, I was just an office worker, old and always on the verge of being laid off, someone society was ready to discard. I never thought I’d have a day like this."
This excited him: "It reminds me of a poem: 'An old man’s whimsy rivals youth’s fervor! Holding the hound on the left, the falcon on the right—'"
Even the talkative Gao Qiang couldn’t get a word in, looking utterly defeated as he glanced at Ren Feng, who gave a slight smirk. Meanwhile, the Baby Octopus on Ren Feng’s head had already covered its non-existent ears with its tentacles.
Zhang Chuanshan was still on a roll: "Are you guys hot? Should I make some ice to cool you down?"
Gao Qiang replied, "Not hot, not hot."
Ren Feng, thinking of the Baby Octopus, said, "That'd be great."
Zhang Chuanshan immediately formed an ice shard in his palm. Ren Feng took it and handed it to the Baby Octopus as a toy. The Baby Octopus wrapped its tentacles around the ice shard and waved it around like a sword.
Zhang Chuanshan looked at the Baby Octopus and said, "I used to keep fish and jellyfish." Then he sighed. "Later, the jellyfish mutated, ate all the fish, and almost ate me too."
Well, that took a dark turn.
The group headed north and reached the city outskirts by afternoon.
Zhang Chuanshan pointed to marks on the wall: "I’ve only explored up to here before. From now on, we’ll be going deeper into the city. Everyone, keep your eyes peeled."
He turned to Gao Qiang: "You’re the main defender. If there’s any danger, call for us. Don’t try to handle it alone."
At that moment, he suddenly had this elder statesman vibe.
Gao Qiang nodded: "Yes, senior!"
He was pumped.
They searched house by house. While no one was paying attention, the Baby Octopus secretly used its tentacles to grab small monsters and stuff them into its mouth.
It hadn’t eaten meat recently and needed to replenish its protein.
The Baby Octopus was munching away. Whenever someone turned around, it quickly flattened itself against Ren Feng’s head to hide.
Soon, they encountered a large monster—a monster that looked like a dandelion blown up a thousand times. Swarms of them flew down the street, each with a pulsating heart at its center surrounded by sharp spines that could stretch and twist.
Zhang Chuanshan waved his hand, sending countless ice shards shooting toward the monsters’ hearts. Ren Feng controlled water orbs to follow closely. A slender pink tentacle hid behind a water orb, and as the orb shattered the spines, the tentacle snatched the fist-sized heart, yanking it out swiftly.
It seized the heart unnoticed while the others were attacking the monster.
Organ meat? Super nutritious.
The Baby Octopus wrapped itself around the heart, which was larger than itself, and its small mouth stretched wide like a black hole. With an "om nom," it swallowed the heart whole.
Ao Tian remarked, "Turning into a monster really changes you. You’re acting very monstrous now."
Chen Zui had long been aware. In fact, he often felt the urge to eat humans—a sensation that was most intense last night when he wrapped his monster form completely around Ren Feng. His feelings toward Ren Feng weren't just sexual desire, but also an appetite.
He genuinely wanted to eat him alive.
But he could control it. Munching on monsters took the edge off. Chen Zui wasn’t a picky eater.
After all, he had been a mercenary and wasn't a picky eater.
The monsters were eliminated by Zhang Chuanshan and Ren Feng’s combined attacks. Zhang Chuanshan looked back at Ren Feng with appreciation. Gao Qiang watched enviously—Attack-type powers are way cooler.
Before dark, they found two survivors. As they prepared to bring them back,
Ren Feng suggested, "We can leave some messages to guide anyone who comes here toward the town."
Zhang Chuanshan said, "Young people really think fast."
They left marks and messages on walls and the ground before returning with the two survivors. Near the town, they encountered several groups of Superhumans returning from outside.
When they entered the town, those without Superpowers gave them thumbs-ups and clapped.
The Baby Octopus puffed out its chest (so to speak).
Gao Qiang’s eyes sparkled with excitement. He had never experienced anything like this—it felt as if he were a hero returning victorious, adored by everyone. He felt like he had a virtual medal pinned to his chest, filling him with passion.
Initially, he had only been cooperating with the mission, since he was staying here, he had to pull his weight.
But now, he felt he had a reason to stay. He felt the weight of responsibility, and it didn’t feel like a burden—it made him want to do more.
When they returned to their residence, the Hu sisters were already back at the house. They had just finished bathing. There were a ton of injured people in the town, and they had been busy all day without rest. Hu Xue was scheduled for night duty at the medical station that evening.
Hu Yue was massaging Hu Xue’s shoulders. Hu Xue had injured her shoulder in a racing accident back when she used to race.
Hu Xue asked, "You're back? How did it go today?"
Still riding the high, Gao Qiang went to Hu Xue, took her hand, and placed it on his chest: "Xiao Xue, no wonder everyone wants to be a hero."
Ren Feng scanned the room for Chen Zui.
Hu Yue said, "Brother Chen hasn't come back yet."
Ren Feng asked, "How was your day? Busy?"
Hu Yue grimaced: "Totally wiped. So many patients here, but there are also healer-type Superhumans." She glanced at the Baby Octopus.
The Baby Octopus looked back at her, then slipped into Ren Feng’s backpack. Soon, it emerged with a ball of yarn balanced on its head.
With a slick underhand toss, it threw the yarn to Hu Yue.
Hu Yue caught it.
The Baby Octopus had already ducked back into the backpack and brought out another ball of yarn.
Hu Yue’s eyes lit up at the six brightly colored balls of yarn, tags still attached.
"Sis! Look! Baby Octopus got me presents~" Hu Yue was so happy she wanted to grab the Baby Octopus and kiss it, but she held back. The Baby Octopus would only let them touch him with a finger, at most.
Ren Feng said he was male, so he was big on personal space.
Hu Yue just found it so cute.
Hu Xue rested her chin in her hand, watching the Baby Octopus and pretending to be upset: "Aww, don't I get one?"
The Baby Octopus pulled a box from its backpack as if by magic and handed it to her.
Hu Xue looked and saw it was hair dye.
And it was wine-red hair dye.
Hu Xue patted the Baby Octopus's head: "Thank you, I really like this gift."
Chen Zui came back just then, bringing dinner for everyone: "Everyone's back? Let's eat."
Everyone immediately crowded around and took the food from his hands.
Gao Qiang: "How was your day?"
Hu Yue: "Chen Zui, you were at the school today, right? I saw you. That job looked exhausting."
Hu Xue: "This one's without cilantro, Ren Feng, it's for you."
Everyone chattered and laughed, making it lively. Ren Feng took the bowl from Hu Xue, his gaze fixed on Chen Zui. Chen Zui was wearing his tank top, his originally fair skin now showing sunburn and some dust, along with a scratch on his shoulder.
The white tank top had turned black—clearly he'd had a rough day.
Chen Zui’s dark eyes met Ren Feng’s, and a smile spread across his face as their gazes locked.
His lips moved silently.
Ren Feng understood—he was saying: Welcome home.
A bright smile spread across Ren Feng’s face.
