    Chapter 45: The Egg-pectation

Sexia’s ear tips burned. Xierlan’s eyes sparkled as he pressed close, rubbing his nose against Sexia’s cheek with an intimacy that felt like playful coaxing.

He was curious about what went on in a human’s mind, but Sexia couldn’t deny his intrigue for the script.

“Alright…” Sexia found it a little hard to say, “Do we need to buy clothes?”

Xierlan blinked. “Yes. I want you to wear formal attire for our role-play—meticulous, unapproachable, traditional, and serious. When I try to seduce you, ignore me and discipline me instead, okay? Okay?”

Sexia’s eyes softened, utterly charmed by the human. “Alright…”

Satisfied, Xierlan lay back down beside him, cuddling Sexia to sleep.

    “Good night, baby, good night!”

Sexia hummed in response, reaching out to embrace Xierlan.

Tonight lasted only two hours; when they woke again, it felt as if they had merely blinked.

Having slept far too late, Xierlan soon had to head to the correctional facility. Yawning sleepily, he made simple sandwiches for breakfast.

As usual, Sexia walked him to the academic building. After a brief separation, Xierlan returned to the classroom.

Haibi arrived first, his face flushed with a mix of nervousness and eagerness.

He spotted Xierlan and greeted him happily, “I tried it with my primary consort yesterday! I’ll share more once the others arrive!”

Xierlan felt a bit more awake and smiled. “Seems like you had a great time.”

Haibi nodded excitedly. Liposi arrived soon after, but Miao Qie was nowhere to be seen. Haibi grew impatient waiting.

“What’s up with Miao Qie?! Why hasn’t he come yet?”

They didn’t see Miao Qie all morning. Unable to hold back, Haibi started talking, brimming with excitement.

“I played with Suo Lunluo yesterday! When he saw the restraint straps, he rubbed his temples like he had a headache—I almost got scared.”

Haibi had returned home with the box feeling anxious.

He wasn’t sure if Suo Lunluo would indulge him in this, as their intimacy had always been traditional, at most more intense.

Mainly, Suo Lunluo seemed too cold and serious—he couldn’t imagine him doing this, ahhhh!

Haibi still remembered how he felt then.

He noticed Haibi’s hesitation and frowned slightly.

Concerned about the timid male’s mental state, Suo Lunluo walked over, placed a hand on his head, and spoke calmly yet caringly, “What’s wrong, Haibi?”

Haibi seemed captivated by the head pat, his nervousness instantly easing.

Eagerly, Haibi pulled him back home, closed the door, and proudly opened his backpack to take out a box.

Haibi looked expectant, “Suo Lunluo, let’s play with this tonight.”

Suo Lunluo didn’t know what the male was up to. He took the box, looked inside for a few seconds, then quickly closed it.

A look of surprise crossed his face, and he pinched the bridge of his nose helplessly, “Why suddenly play with this?”

Seeing he wasn’t upset, Haibi’s tail hook emerged and curled excitedly, “My friend had a great time with his primary consort playing this, and I want to try it with you too.”

Suo Lunluo was speechless, unsure how to respond.

Noticing Suo Lunluo wasn’t disgusted, Haibi grew even more excited and clung to him, “Please, please, Suo Lunluo, please play with me! I promise I’ll be gentle—I won’t hurt you.”

Suo Lunluo, worn down by his pleading, reluctantly agreed.

But soon, Suo Lunluo realized it was the most regrettable decision he’d ever made.

The male was clumsy—the restraints were sloppily tied, and he fumbled while trying to suspend him.

Suo Lunluo could see his reflection in the bedroom’s full-length mirror. The male had insisted on this spot, probably hoping to excite him.

It worked all too well—Suo Lunluo had never felt more like sinking into the ground.

    He swayed unsteadily.

Like a wind-chime, the accessories on him rattled noisily.

Suo Lunluo balanced on one foot, relying on the hand at his waist to steady his swinging body.

He felt too embarrassed to speak, his body heating up. The clumsy male behind him didn’t know how to stimulate him properly—his soft, smooth tail hook merely shrank and coiled around his thigh.

Unable to use his hands to adjust, Suo Lunluo’s voice trembled slightly, “Haibi, not there…”

Haibi was hopelessly clumsy—rash, impulsive, always missing the mark, then hitting him when his limbs were already sore.

All the temperature-sensitive bands on Suo Lunluo’s body turned red.

His skin was marked with clear, red lines from the restraints.

The next morning, a sore Suo Lunluo looked at Haibi’s pleading expression, and all his frustration melted away.

He sighed helplessly. Haibi expectantly touched his opening, asking cautiously, “Did it feel good?”

Suo Lunluo didn’t know why the male sounded so wronged, but he sighed softly and indulged him, pretending it felt good as he hugged the delighted Haibi, “Mm, primary male is very skilled.”

Haibi’s tail hook rose high, filled with sudden confidence, its soft tip affectionately brushing against his thigh.

    “Then I really believe it.”

    Suo Lunluo chuckled, “Mm.”

Haibi was in high spirits all day, eager to share, but Miao Qie never showed up.

After finishing his story, he leaned back on the sofa proudly, “My primary consort praised my skills! Can you believe it—such an outstanding male said I was amazing!!”

The other two males saw through it but didn’t comment, simply agreeing.

And Miao Qie still hadn’t returned.

Xierlan wasn’t worried either—what could possibly happen to a male in this world? He casually headed back with Sexia to play the roles of a wayward youth and a stern guardian.

As for Miao Qie, there was indeed a reason he hadn’t shown up.

His intimacy with Ximodo was high, and with their frequent intimacy, Ximodo had become pregnant.

Holding the test report, Miao Qie’s mind went blank.

Although female Zerg had excellent physical recovery abilities, and he knew Ximodo’s reproductive health was optimal—a sign of good health—the thought of him getting pregnant again just three months after giving birth filled Miao Qie with obvious panic.

His hands trembled, a complex mix of emotions swirling.

He was going to be a father again… no, he’d gotten his primary consort pregnant again, ahhh!!!

Mino was still so young, and now another one was coming! What should he do? Could he be fair to both? What if he raised this new larva well, but Mino grew up unhappy?

And was Ximodo really okay with this?!!!

But terminating the pregnancy was illegal!!!

Ximodo was also silent upon seeing the diagnosis.

He didn’t understand why he got pregnant so easily, but unlike with Mino, he felt neither wary nor panic about this new life.

It was the first time Ximodo realized he had such a fertile constitution.

Miao Qie carefully put away the paper report and reached out to touch Ximodo’s lower abdomen. Through a layer of skin and flesh, a small life had already implanted itself in the reproductive cavity.

Dropping his usual playful demeanor, Miao Qie turned serious for the first time. He looked up at Ximodo and said, “I’ll apply to my father right away to end my community service. If he doesn’t agree, I’ll push until he approves these few months of leave.”

Miao Qie and Xierlan often chatted while studying parenting knowledge, and Xierlan’s warnings made him clearly aware that female Zerg had increased needs during pregnancy.

He gently rubbed Ximodo’s abdomen, noticing the latter staring at him in a daze.

Miao Qie was massaging his belly with great care.

“I’ll be with you these next few months. If you still want to focus on work, that’s fine too. Female Zerg need twice the pheromonal support during pregnancy—I’ll stay with you until this little larva is born safely.”

When not being mischievous, Miao Qie was quite reliable. He withdrew his hand hesitantly. “Of course, Mino is also my larva. I won’t favor either. I missed a lot during your pregnancy with Mino—I won’t make the same mistake with this one.”

Suddenly feeling responsible, Miao Qie had an idea. “Let’s leave more for Mino in the future. We can’t let the eldest feel neglected.”

    Ximodo remained speechless throughout.

He often worried this was all a dream. He didn’t know if he was doing well enough or what this male Zerg truly wanted from him…

He could only do his best to cooperate, remaining rigid and ordinary. Aside from his abilities, military rank, and substantial assets, Ximodo truly didn’t understand what the male saw in him.

Just a month ago, he hadn’t dared show his affection in front of him.

Miao Qie had already started a communication request with his father, but before making the call, he replied to Haibi, who’d asked what he was up to.

After sending it, Haibi immediately called his own father, venting for three minutes before angrily ending the call. “Damn it, he told me to owe him for now!”

Miao Qie fumed briefly but quickly cooled down, happily pouring a cup of nutritious broth for Ximodo and settled down beside him. “Here, here, want me to feed you?”

If a pregnant female Zerg stayed happy, it positively affected both her health and the pregnancy.

In short, it was good for both mother and child.

Seeing Ximodo unresponsive, Miao Qie shifted right onto his lap. “Drink it, it’s for you. If you’re healthy, I’ll worry less.”

Back when he wanted to eat Xierlan’s cooking, Miao Qie had often competed with the other two males to serve and coax, learning quite a few tricks about caretaking skills.

Now, feeding his primary consort came naturally.

Ximodo hadn’t expected the male to care so much during his pregnancy. For some reason, an unfamiliar pang welled up inside.

Noticing him turning away with restraint, Miao Qie frowned.

He set down the bowl and spoon, cupped Ximodo’s face, and narrowed his eyes. “Ximodo, what are you thinking? No bad thoughts!”

    Ximodo was speechless.

Afraid his reaction would irritate Miao Qie, he whispered, “It’s nothing…”

Miao Qie protested, “You clearly look like something’s wrong!!! And you dare lie to me!!!”

He found Ximodo completely exasperating and smacked his calf with his tail—not hard, but with a hint of punishment.

“Don’t hold back! If you have a mouth, use it!”

Miao Qie stopped hitting him and instead slowly coiled his tail around Ximodo’s calf.

“I won’t hit or scold you. I’ll raise this little larva properly with you. What else are you worried about? My father even approved my few months of freedom.”

Miao Qie blinked, then suddenly it dawned on him. He looked at Ximodo quizzically, then as if struck by realization, asked, “You feel wronged, don’t you?”

Scratching his carrot-colored head, Miao Qie sighed but remained loyal.

“Fine, from now on, you can take it out on me as much as you want.”

It wasn’t like Miao Qie could let Ximodo hit him back—even if he agreed, the Male Protection Association wouldn’t allow it.

Plus, he was afraid of pain!!!

If Ximodo dared make him hurt, he’d bite his head off!!!

Meanwhile, Haibi received Miao Qie’s reply.

    He was flabbergasted reading it.

Stammering and dumbfounded, he shook Xierlan and Liposi beside him vigorously. “Heavens, Miao Qie’s primary consort is pregnant!”

Haibi stared in shock. “No way! What’s going on?!”

Xierlan was equally stunned—how could this happen so soon?!
