Chapter 73: The White Moonlight Master (11)
byChapter 73: The White Moonlight Shizun (Part 11)
"Dig up this grave," Yun Jinqiu commanded.
"Yes, Shizun," Meng Youyi immediately produced a shovel from his storage bag.
The nameless, unmarked grave was swiftly unearthed.
Yun Jinqiu observed a black wooden box, its surface intricately carved with grotesque patterns. Shrouded in a sinister aura, it clearly portended no good.
"Shizun, this..." Meng Youyi cautiously retreated a step. "What is this object?"
The old woman also approached, her face etched with surprise.
"Good heavens, this thing looks so eerie..."

The old woman dared not look further, stumbling back a step. "What a calamity..."
Meng Youyi, however, showed no fear, even displaying a hint of eagerness. "Shizun, should I retrieve that bone?"
"No need," Yun Jinqiu shook his head. "That bone is merely the core of an array. I have already broken the array."
"An array?" Meng Youyi appeared perplexed.
Yun Jinqiu cast a glance at him and explained, "This array is designed to drain the vital essence from the living, and this village served as the sacrificial offering. The array's creator harbors sinister intentions, likely aiming to resurrect something. If I am not mistaken, that bone should be part of the corpse of the one they wish to revive."
Meng Youyi was startled. "Who would warrant such an elaborate resurrection?"
Yun Jinqiu shook his head. "Whoever it is, they are certainly not a good person." Moreover, the one capable of constructing such a treacherous array must have attained the level of a grandmaster. It's no wonder the disciples who came earlier to subdue demons returned empty-handed.
"Then, Shizun, what should we do?" Meng Youyi inquired.
"This array is ingeniously constructed, but the core we found is only a leg bone. To resurrect a person and restore their soul, one must bury the head and four limbs in five distinct locations: east, south, west, north, and the central position."
