Chapter 92: This Is My Confession

Back at the hotel, the car had barely stopped before Gu Sai lowered his head and quickly pushed the door open to get out. The evening breeze blew past, cooling some of the heat on his face.

Xiao Song came around to the front, about to escort the two upstairs as usual, when his gaze inadvertently swept across Gu Sai's face.

Gu Sai's lips, which were originally light in color, were now noticeably swollen and reddened, the color more vivid and glossy. Even at the edge of his lower lip, one could faintly make out a faint mark from sucking or biting.

Noticing Xiao Song's strange look, Gu Sai pulled his collar up a bit higher. It was all Chen Wang's fault—the guy hadn't kept his mouth shut the whole ride.

Behind him, Chen Wang casually straightened his clothes and got out of the car. Though his arm was still wrapped in bandages, he looked completely refreshed, with a smug, satisfied smile in his eyes and at the corners of his mouth, like a wolf that had just gorged itself.

It hit Xiao Song like a ton of bricks!

This time, he finally used his brain and knew not to follow them.

"Um..." Xiao Song immediately stopped in his tracks and asked Gu Sai, "Brother Gu, tomorrow... do you want me to ask the crew for a day off for you?"

His gaze flicked between Gu Sai's swollen lips and Chen Wang's satisfied expression, the meaning obvious without a word.

Gu Sai's face flushed even deeper, practically steaming. He quickly waved his hands: "N-no need, I'm filming as usual tomorrow. I'm fine."

Chen Wang walked over and casually slung an arm around Gu Sai's shoulder, instructing Xiao Song: "In a bit, grab Gu Sai's apartment keys and go feed his cat. I'll text you the address."

"Don't worry, Brother Wang! Rest easy, Brother Gu! I've got the cat covered—I love cats!"

    "Good man."

Chen Wang praised him, then pulled Gu Sai upstairs. In the elevator, he could barely keep his hands off him. Gu Sai pointed at the security camera, telling him to cool it.

Chen Wang sighed. He barely made it to the room, then, like a wolf that hadn't eaten in three days, he kissed Gu Sai's lips fiercely.

Gu Sai wrapped his arms around Chen Wang's neck willingly. He accepted everything Chen Wang gave and responded eagerly in return.

This time, no force was compelling him—he willingly gave himself to Chen Wang.

    ...

Afterward, the two lay curled up together in bed, Chen Wang's hot chest pressed against Gu Sai's back.

    "Come out."

    "Give me a minute."

Gu Sai couldn't do anything about him, and worried about bumping his injured hand, he could only stay still on his side.

Chen Wang's hand roamed along his waist, pressing kisses to the back of his neck: "Gu Sai, do you like me?"

Gu Sai paused, then hummed in agreement.

"I knew it all along." Chen Wang's confidence came rushing back. He knew Gu Sai had always liked him, loved him, been crazy about him!

"Then why did you make me wait so long?" He sounded a little hurt, giving Gu Sai's shoulder blade a light bite.

It didn't hurt at all—just tickled a little. Gu Sai squirmed in his arms.

    "Chen Wang."

    "Hm?"

"Actually, I never believed it before."

    "What?"

Gu Sai grabbed his wandering hand and said softly: "You're amazing in every way—great family, great acting, handsome. I'm different. I don't think there's anything about me worth loving. I'm not good enough, so I never believed you could really like me."

Hearing this, Chen Wang turned Gu Sai over to face him. Looking into his eyes, he said earnestly: "In my eyes, there's nothing wrong with you. You're wonderful, you shine so bright. It's not just because I love you that I see you that way—you're genuinely good, and that's why I fell for you."

Then he took Gu Sai's hand and placed it over his own heart: "Feel that? It's beating for you."

    Gu Sai could feel it.

He wrapped his arms tightly around Chen Wang, burying his face in his chest: "Chen Wang."

    "Hm."

    "I love you."

Chen Wang's breath hitched, and he pressed a kiss to the top of his head: "Baby, can I take those three words as an invitation?"

Gu Sai said, "No, this is my confession."

Chen Wang froze, his heart suddenly racing. Those words moved him even more than an invitation.

What a little fox—seducing him without even realizing it.

    ·

Chen Wang got two days off due to his injury, but Gu Sai still had to go to work on set.

In the morning, he got ready at the hotel, put on the clothes Xiao Song had brought over, and prepared to head to the set.

Chen Wang didn't want to let him go, grabbing him at the door and kissing him a dozen times before finally releasing him.

Gu Sai chuckled. "Teacher Chen, I'm gonna be late."

Before, when Gu Sai called him Teacher Chen, it was polite and distant. But now... why did it sound so different?

Chen Wang nuzzled Gu Sai's nose and said: "Gu Xiaosai, call me 'hubby.'"

Gu Sai scrunched up his nose, refusing.

Chen Wang moved to strip his clothes off: "If you don't say it, you're not going anywhere. Worst case, I'll call the director and get you the day off."

"No way." Gu Sai clutched his clothes, hesitated, then whispered: "Hubby..."

Chen Wang was satisfied. The second he let go, Gu Sai bolted out the door into the hallway, then turned back to add one more syllable: "by."

    Chen Wang: ???

He wanted to chase after him, but Gu Sai was already gone, still turning back to flash him a grin.

But then, not looking where he was going, he ran into someone at the corner.

    Chen Wang's heart jumped: "Careful!"

He rushed over and rubbed Gu Sai's head. "Did you get hurt?"

Gu Sai shook his head and looked up, only to find that the person he had bumped into was actually Jiang Xun, the male actor who had previously collaborated with Mi Qi and been beaten into an M-shape by him.

Jiang Xun had an unlit cigarette dangling from his mouth and was holding a small cake in his arms, but it had already been flattened by Gu Sai's head-on collision, the Mickey Mouse design on it smashed into a cracked mess.

Gu Sai quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, Mr. Jiang, I didn't mean to. I... I'll buy you a new one."

Chen Wang said nonchalantly, "No need to compensate. He's built like a wall, so you bumping into him—I'm not even giving him grief over it."

Jiang Xun stared at him coldly without a word, the cigarette in his mouth trembling slightly.

"But..." Gu Sai still felt terribly sorry.

Chen Wang said, "It's really fine. Guys like him who love playing tough wouldn't dare make a scene. The driver is waiting for you downstairs, so hurry up."

Gu Sai apologized to Jiang Xun once more before being pushed into the elevator by Chen Wang.

After seeing Gu Sai off, Chen Wang turned around, and Jiang Xun was still standing there. He glanced at Chen Wang's bandaged arm and hand, then asked, "You crippled?"

"No!" Chen Wang shot him a glare. "Just a scratch."

Jiang Xun glanced at the elevator and asked again, "So, it's done?"

"Yeah." Chen Wang felt a bit proud, raising an eyebrow at him. "I move fast. If I like someone, I go for it. Unlike you—you're a hunter but act like prey. Fun, right?"
