Chapter 6 The Teasing Yandere Boy 6
byChapter 6: The Teasing Yandere Youth 6
Once a dark thought takes root, there's no going back; every tangled thought feeds this budding sin.
Jian Qingming was starting to regret not having eliminated Jiang Ran from the start, if he'd known he'd cause this much trouble.
But it didn't matter. It wasn't too late yet.
Jian Qingming picked up his phone and made a call, instructing, "Handle this ASAP, and make sure there are no traces left behind."
---
When Qiao Ling woke up, he found that the guy who'd been sleeping on the floor had somehow crawled into bed with him.
The youth was fast asleep, clutching the blanket, his features much softer than when he was awake, without all that defensiveness and resistance.
His side profile was delicate and smooth, with lashes so dark and long they were enviable.
Even though Jian Qingming and Jiang Ran did look a bit alike, Qiao Ling found Jiang Ran's aggressive beauty way more intoxicating.
Sure, this was a mortal body, but the soul inside was the Supreme Deity's.
At that thought, a tingle surged through Qiao Ling. His mind started to drift, and he couldn't help reaching out to touch the youth's cheek.
The system gave a light cough: "Host, beauty is a double-edged sword. Don't forget who you're looking at!"
The more attractive, the more dangerous—who doesn't know that?
But lust is only human nature, and that was Qiao Ling's true self!
He reached out, hesitated, then reluctantly pulled his hand back.
Fine!
He'd just look, then.
But... Jiang Ran was seriously good-looking!
--
Jiang Ran didn't know why the guy kept staring at him, so he didn't wake up.
It wasn't until the harsh light outside streamed through the window and hit him that Jiang Ran finally couldn't help slowly opening his eyes.
But the next second, he caught a flicker of panic in the young master's eyes, which had been full of infatuation just moments ago.
He suddenly frowned and put on a fierce act: "Didn't I tell you to sleep on the floor? How'd you end up in my bed?"
His voice was soft, with zero intimidation factor.
Jiang Ran was now almost certain this young master was up to something.
If he really hated him, he'd kick him off the bed, not just scold him half-heartedly.
Honestly, from the moment he'd decided to climb into bed last night, he'd already made up his mind to test the young master's limits.
The youth sat up and apologized, "Sorry, young master, but the floor really isn't comfortable to sleep on."
Hearing that pitiful remark, Qiao Ling felt even worse.
That floor was cold and hard!
Of course it wasn't comfortable. Poor Jiang Ran.
Qiao Ling kept up a cold, heartless front, even starting to negotiate with Jiang Ran.
He said flatly, "Exams are coming up and I've got a ton of homework. Do mine for me, and I'll let you sleep in the bed. Fair enough, right?"
That homework shouldn't be a big deal for Jiang Ran anyway; the request was pretty optional to begin with.
But to his surprise, Jiang Ran flat-out refused.
"Young master, your grades can't handle another failing class. You'd better do the homework yourself."
The youth looked serious, with a hint of "I'm really doing this for your own good."
Qiao Ling: "..."
Well, thanks a lot!
Qiao Ling had always had this flaw since his days in heaven—he got dizzy just looking at words.
Homework gave him an instant headache!
The young master huffed indignantly, glaring at Jiang Ran with those clear eyes, which stirred a never-before-felt sense of satisfaction in Jiang Ran.
Jiang Ran slowly leaned in and said seriously, "But... I can help the young master review his lessons. Would you be willing?"
The youth's eyes had lost some of their earlier sharpness, bright like glass.
Maybe because he'd just woken up, Jiang Ran's voice was unusually soft and gentle.
His voice seemed to carry this special, seductive pull that made you fall into it without realizing.
Qiao Ling nodded and agreed right away: "Sure!"
System: "..."
At this rate, his host's soul had basically been stolen by some little demon.
With a perverted host like this, how was he supposed to cope?!
Just as Qiao Ling finished washing up and came downstairs, he saw a tall, proper-looking man in a suit sitting on the sofa.
Seeing Qiao Ling come down, the man walked over slowly.
The man had a mature face and looked a bit like Qiao Ling—it was his cousin, Qiao Huai.
Ever since Qiao Ling started living alone, he hated being disturbed, so the household staff usually left right after finishing their work.
Only Qiao Huai would drop by every now and then to check on him.
"Bro, what are you doing here?"
"Just came to see you and drop off some breakfast."
The Qiao family didn't have many heirs—just Qiao Huai and Qiao Ling in this generation, and Qiao Ling was an only child.
Coupled with his frail health since childhood, he was practically the whole Qiao family's precious jewel.
Qiao Ling smiled. "Thanks, bro."
Qiao Huai took a seat, looked at Qiao Ling, and asked, "So I heard you brought a young man home. What exactly is your relationship now?"
For the Qiao family, anything involving Qiao Ling was practically top priority, so everyone knew about his crush on Jian Qingming.
Not long ago, Jian Qingming stood him up, and it really upset Qiao Ling. Of course, the Qiao family knew about this.
But soon enough, he brought another young man home.
This left the Qiao family totally confused.
Qiao Ling sat down for breakfast and said matter-of-factly, "My boyfriend, of course! Doesn't my big brother know that I like..."
He paused mid-sentence, took a bite of his bun, and raised an eyebrow with a "you know what I mean" look.
Qiao Huai sighed. "I know that... it's just that Jian Qingming..."
The Qiao and Jian families were very close. If Qiao Ling said the word, the Qiao family would make it happen, no question.
And the Jian family wouldn't have any problem with it either.
As long as Qiao Ling was willing, even if Jian Qingming wasn't, Qiao Huai could have him dragged to Qiao Ling's doorstep.
But surprisingly, Qiao Ling turned it down flat.
"Brother, don't meddle in my love life. I can tell you for sure, I don't like Jian Qingming anymore.
Oh well! That's just how people are—they get bored with the old and chase after the new. I've moved on to someone else now."
Qiao Ling said it so casually that Qiao Huai actually believed him.
Qiao Ling said calmly, "Come to think of it, you guys always noticed when something was up between Jian Qingming and me. How could he not have noticed? Maybe... he had other plans all along. I'm done waiting around for him."
As soon as Qiao Ling said this, Qiao Huai furrowed his brows.
Waiting around?
So Jian Qingming was just stringing him along without ever committing?
Qiao Huai was five or six years older than Qiao Ling, so he didn't really know the rich kids in Jian Qingming's circle.
He never figured Jian Qingming for that kind of guy.
Qiao Huai left not long after, saying, "Then it's your call. If anything comes up, give your brother a ring."
Qiao Ling smiled and nodded, "Okay, I got it, brother."
