Chapter 10 The Teasing Yandere Boy 10
byChapter 10: The Alluring Sickly Young Man 10
Qiao Huai opened the car door and said in a low voice, "Take good care of him these next few days. This kid's never taken a knife for anyone before."
Jiang Ran pursed his lips and looked down at the sleeping young man.
"I know."
This was the first time—and it would definitely be the last—that he let him get hurt.
After the two of them went upstairs, Qiao Ling ended up waking up anyway.
Probably because the wound on his arm hurt too much for him to sleep, the young man let out an annoyed grumble.
"Damn bastard, that was a nasty hit!"
It wasn't just his arm that hurt right now—his whole body ached.
Jiang Ran sighed helplessly and gently stroked the young man's soft cheek. "Then stop moving around. Let me do it."
Qiao Ling responded lazily, too drained to have much energy left.
His arm couldn't get wet, so he had to be extra careful during this time. Jiang Ran wrung out a towel and wiped his face for him.
Qiao Ling's brows stayed furrowed as he drifted in and out of a restless sleep, frequently wincing and gasping in pain. It wasn't until the second half of the night that he finally settled into a more peaceful sleep.
But Jiang Ran didn't get a wink of sleep all night.
He pulled the young master into his arms, leaning gently against him, occasionally lifting his head to check his forehead.
Despite the injury, at least he didn't have a fever.
Early the next morning.
Jiang Ran got a message from the police officer.

When Qin Qing came home that night, she still had that distracted, uneasy look on her face.
Jian Han noticed how troubled his wife looked and asked, "How many surgeries did you have today? You look exhausted."
Qin Qing looked at her husband's face, but in her mind, she kept seeing the boy she'd met today who looked so much like him.
She asked casually, "Where's Qingming?"
At that, Jian Han could only let out a helpless sigh. "How would I know where he went? I never keep tabs on him."
After Jian Qingming was found, the Jian family doted on him because they felt he'd suffered so much.
But before long, the couple realized the kid was extreme and vicious in his actions, sometimes completely self-centered.
He'd apologize quickly after doing something wrong, but he never actually changed his ways.
The couple had only scolded him a few times before he threw a fit and ran away, which made the elders in the family blame them.
After the elders passed away two years ago, Jian Qingming simply moved out on his own.
The couple didn't feel particularly close to this kid—the joy of getting him back had faded fast after he came home.
What followed was the struggle of not knowing how to deal with him.
And Jian Qingming was always bringing up how much he'd suffered in the orphanage, which made the couple's feelings toward him grow colder and colder over the years.
Qin Qing looked at her husband and said quietly, "I met a boy today who looks a lot like you did when you were young."
Hearing this, Jian Han just wrapped an arm around his wife to comfort her. "No matter what, Qingming is our child. You can't start thinking like that, Xiao Qing."
Qin Qing still wouldn't drop it. "But we never did a paternity test."
Jian Han sighed. "That jade pendant is one of a kind in the whole world. Who else could have it besides our son?"
There was no way two identical jade pendants could exist in this world—same jade, same carving, same look. How could that be possible?
Qin Qing rubbed her temples in frustration.
Deep down, she had a nagging feeling that something wasn't right.
Before, she'd never seen that young man, so it was fine. But ever since she laid eyes on Jiang Ran, she couldn't shake the unease.
Qin Qing had already made up her mind—since she'd started doubting, she might as well find out the truth.
Once she got the results, she could finally put her doubts to rest.

Because of his injury, Qiao Ling was stuck at home.
He was more than happy about not having to go to school.
But Jiang Ran staying home with him made Qiao Ling feel a little guilty.
He put on an angry face and tried to chase him off. "Don't think you can just stay home and live the easy life while I'm injured. Go to class—don't you have exams to study for? Don't you want that scholarship?"
Jiang Ran didn't react much and just said, "I can study just as well at home. Young master, want some fruit?"
Qiao Ling: "..."
"System, am I not fierce enough with him? Why doesn't he react at all?"
System: "Don't @ me, I'm already numb. Host, look at how spoiled you've got him!"
Qiao Ling felt wronged in his heart.
He gave Jiang Ran attitude every single day—how was that spoiling him?
"Heh, you let him sleep in your bed, and you say you're not spoiling him? Just you wait—one day he'll be walking all over you."
Qiao Ling's eyes flickered, his heart struck like a bolt of lightning.
Had he... broken character?
But he'd been mean the whole time!
Jiang Ran carefully peeled an apple, sliced it, and handed it to Qiao Ling. "Young master, have some fruit."
Qiao Ling reached out to take it, but then he remembered what the system had said...
He mustered up his courage and pulled his hand back just as Jiang Ran let go.
The apple fell to the floor, rolling around a few times before coming to a stop.
"I don't like apples."
See! How cold and heartless! And he wasted Jiang Ran's thoughtful gesture!
Jiang Ran blinked, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he asked, "So what does the young master want to eat? I can help with that."
Qiao Ling looked at the smile in the young man's crystal-clear eyes before him, feeling a knot of fear in his chest!
"System, did you see that? It's totally not me breaking character. I think Jiang Ran's got some weird kinks. He might... just be into people who treat him like crap!"
System: "..."
Qiao Ling asked again, "System, is Jiang Ran the type that gets more excited the more you bully him, that kind of... you know..."
The system finally snapped and yelled, "Host!"
"Hmm?"
"You know way too much weird stuff. Can you dial it back a notch?"
Qiao Ling figured the system didn't want to answer, so he dropped it.
Jiang Ran picked the apple up off the floor and set it aside. He slowly closed in on Qiao Ling, reaching out to brush the young man's soft cheek.
The young master's eyes were as clear as a rain-washed sky. Although he was willful, he was actually as innocent as a blank page.
He leaned in close to the young man's ear and murmured.
"If the young master has no interest in any fruit, then... what about me?"
Qiao Ling was completely flustered at this point.
What the heck is going on?!
He hadn't even made a move on him yet, so what was Jiang Ran doing?
The young master was a bit panicked. His dark lashes trembled uneasily as he involuntarily stepped back two paces and said, "I... I'm not a demon, so of course I don't eat people. You're quite the joker."
But Jiang Ran had no intention of letting him go. He wrapped his long arm around the young man's slender waist and gently placed a kiss on his forehead.
Qiao Ling felt Jiang Ran's breath was very familiar. The closer he got, the more he couldn't help but sink into it.
But... he had to maintain his scumbag persona and absolutely not be seduced by him.
Although Qiao Ling was stubborn with his words, his heart had already surrendered.
Who in this world could ever turn down the peerless, fearless Supreme Deity?
