Chapter 15 Omega Male Star Sexually Assaulted on Variety Show

Qin Yan was momentarily speechless, not knowing what to say.

Su Zhiyu came down the stairs and walked straight up to Qin Yan. His jade-green pupils reflected Qin Yan's figure, small and insignificant.

    "Qin Yan."

Su Zhiyu lowered his eyelashes, looking at the man on the sofa, seemingly struggling with something difficult to say, unable to get the words out for a long time.

Qin Yan didn't press him, just tilted his head up and watched.

    After a long silence.

Su Zhiyu met Qin Yan's gaze and apologized with utmost seriousness: "I'm sorry for biting you. I'll make it up to you."

    What?

Qin Yan's face showed surprise. Compensate? He'd been holding back all this time just to apologize?

Seeing the expression on Qin Yan's face, Su Zhiyu nervously wrung his hands. He couldn't offer anything else, so he quickly added: "However much the medical expenses are, I can pay them."

The subtext: I can only pay money. Don't even think about asking for more.

    Qin Yan understood.

He found it amusing as he looked Su Zhiyu up and down, deliberately asking him: "Do you know how much I'm worth? Can your pocket money even cover it?"

    "..."

Su Zhiyu kept his cool: "I'll be able to pay it off eventually."

"Eventually... how eventually? Five years from now or ten? Do you think I need your pocket change?"

Qin Yan leaned back, his hands resting on the sofa, watching with amusement as the young man's face gradually turned pale and flustered.

    "I..."

"Tell you what." Qin Yan smiled slyly. "From now on, you'll have every meal with me. That'll be your payment."

Su Zhiyu looked up, puzzled: "That's it?"

Qin Yan raised an eyebrow: "Yeah. I find eating alone boring these days. Might as well have a vase keep me company. What, you don't want to?"

Su Zhiyu shook his head: "No, I'm willing."

Qin Yan's lips curved into a faint smile, not missing the way Su Zhiyu's neck and shoulders relaxed in relief.

This guy must have psyched himself up quite a bit before coming down to apologize. After all, someone like him—a pervert—would most likely seize the chance to squeeze something out of him.

But why would he even bother apologizing?

The previous Qin Yan had done far worse to him—beaten and scolded him when displeased, used his power to make things difficult for him and let others bully him. He never apologized for any of that, so why apologize for something so trivial?

"If there's nothing else, I'll head upstairs."

    Su Zhiyu turned to leave.

"Wait." Qin Yan stopped him. "Go eat breakfast first."

    "?"

"What are you looking at? I can't finish all this. I saved you some—go finish it."

    "Okay."

Su Zhiyu turned and headed toward the dining room. Qin Yan's tense back relaxed as he quietly pulled out his flashy pink guitar.

Su Zhiyu sat at the dining table and saw the hearty, spotless breakfast—still warm. He couldn't help but feel surprised. This clearly wasn't leftovers; it looked like it had been specially prepared.

He glanced toward the living room. Qin Yan was sitting cross-legged on the sofa, strumming his guitar. Though he couldn't see his face, the young man's focused, lively energy was unmistakable.

He remembered that Qin Yan hated music—absolutely despised it.

They lived under the same roof, and he'd never once heard him sing or practice. So how had he sung so well during that performance on the show?

And hadn't Qin Yan explicitly said when signing up that he would never sing or dance? So why did he choose singing for his first act?

Lately, Qin Yan had been playing the guitar nonstop. It was obvious he loved it, and he was really good.

But can a person suddenly start loving something they used to hate?

Su Zhiyu felt like he was missing something.

    What was it?

The servant couldn't help but remind him: "Mr. Su, the young master said to eat your breakfast while it's hot."

Su Zhiyu snapped out of it.

    Forget it.

Qin Yan's business was none of his concern anyway. He could like whatever he wanted, as long as he didn't lose it and take it out on him.

Once the show's preview aired, the program's popularity shot up, with Su Zhiyu getting the most attention.

Su Zhiyu already had some popularity to begin with—his refined, handsome features and cool, reserved demeanor made him stand out easily among the young, rowdy crowd.

His Weibo followers were growing by the day.

Su Zhiyu refreshed his Weibo and was about to close the app when an entertainment news alert popped up.

"Omega Male Star Sexually Assaulted on Variety Show"

Su Zhiyu's brow furrowed. His gut told him this trending topic might be about him. He clicked on it and, sure enough, saw himself in the photo attached.

    Meanwhile, in the next room.

Qin Yan had just gotten out of the shower when his phone rang. It was Yang Yichen, and he sounded urgent:

"Brother Yan, you need to check Weibo's trending list right now."

Qin Yan flopped onto the bed lazily: "What's up?"

"Just look. People online are saying you're abusing your power, that you made a move on someone during the show, forcibly marked an Omega, and even sent them to the hospital—almost killing them."

    "?"

Qin Yan bolted upright in bed, quickly opening Weibo.

——‘He dares to act this brazenly while filming a show? How did someone like him even get on the show in the first place?’

——‘Exactly. Omegas are already the vulnerable ones; running into an Alpha like that is like a lamb being led to slaughter.’

——‘Someone dug up that the victim Omega is Su Zhiyu, that cool, handsome guy.’

——‘Damn, my heart aches for my baby Yu Yu. Fuck, he finally gets a good opportunity and then runs into this piece of trash.’

——‘Has everyone noticed? This Alpha is that amateur on the show, named Qin Yan! He definitely bought his way onto the show. Now I’m starting to think his debut stage was fake too.’

——‘This scumbag should just go die, honestly.’

——‘Su Zhiyu is so pitiful. In the picture, he’s covered in blood. Did that bastard do this to him?’

——‘He was beaten. I’m a crew member on the show and saw it firsthand. If someone hadn’t shown up, he would’ve gotten away with it.’

——‘Holy shit, can he go into heat anytime, anywhere? Why doesn’t this piece of shit just die already?’

——‘Leak: Qin Yan has someone backing him. He was put on the show just to pick out partners, and his stage performance was all staged.’

——‘Anyone who bullies our Yu Yu can go die!’

——‘No way, I just became his fan and he’s already canceled? Damn, what a waste of that face. Can we all go throw sulfuric acid on him?’

    ……

Qin Yan skimmed through the comments section. Those cursing him made up at least 70% of the comments. Some were genuinely outraged passersby, but the majority were paid trolls.

It seemed like someone was out to get him.

On the other end of the line, Yang Yichen asked cautiously, “Brother Yan, what exactly happened? What went down after I left? Did you really… forcibly mark Su Zhiyu?”

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust his friend, but the original owner had been so awful to Su Zhiyu before. Although it was a bit far-fetched, it wasn’t beyond what the original owner would do.

“Brother Yan, even if you really hate Su Zhiyu, you shouldn’t have…”

“Do I seem like that kind of person?” Qin Yan cut him off, laughing in anger. “Damn it, I didn’t go after him first, but he’s coming after me instead.”

Yang Yichen asked in confusion, “Who?”
