Chapter 35: I’ll Help You Beat the Bad Guys
byChapter 35: I'll Help You Fight the Bad Guys
Qin Mo's expression remained perfectly composed, just shaking his head with a smile: "Of course not, isn't he with you?"
Ha, so you do know he's with me?
Qin Yan suppressed the urge to punch him: "Brother, he was taking too long getting changed, so I kicked the door open and accidentally smashed the mirror. I didn't expect him to run off that way, so I chased after him. He's gotta be here."
"A Yan."
Qin Mo grabbed his wrist, his voice stern: "This isn't a place you should be in. He's not here."
"Then what is this place?"
"That's none of your business." Qin Mo's eyes rarely showed a flicker of evasion.
Qin Yan just threw a tantrum: "Brother, don't treat me like a kid. I'm twenty. If you can be here, why can't I?"
"A Yan, stop messing around."
Qin Mo's face turned cold, dead set on not letting him in.
Qin Yan had already caught the scent of pheromones. He was now hyper-attuned to Su Zhiyu's pheromones, and even among the layered scents of different Alpha pheromones, he still picked up the familiar Omega scent.
Su Zhiyu's in danger!
Calm down.
Qin Yan gripped the table leg, forcing himself to calm down.
He'd initially thought Qin Mo had taken Su Zhiyu because he wanted him, but it turned out this guy was just a straight-up psychopath.
What a bunch of scumbags.
"Ah..."
Someone let out a piercing scream, a blood-curdling howl that echoed out.
Shit.
Fuck this.
Qin Yan wrenched himself free from Qin Mo's grip and followed the pheromone scent straight to a door.
The familiar scene from the show flashed before his eyes. Last time, he'd stepped in to protect the male lead, but now, he wanted nothing more than to kill the bastards inside.
Qin Yan had lost count of how many doors he'd kicked down.
In the enclosed space, a chaotic mix of pheromone scents surged like frenzied beasts, desperately darting around.
The nauseating stench spread, as if it would swallow the whole space whole.
Su Zhiyu was in even worse shape than last time.
His once-neat clothes were now in disarray, and he clutched a glass bottle in his hand—though it had long since shattered into sharp shards.
These jagged shards were clenched in Su Zhiyu's hand.
The tips had sunk into an Alpha's chest. That miserable scream earlier must have come from the wounded Alpha.
His clothes were nearly gone, his pants hanging around his ankles, and rolls of yellowed, flabby fat were exposed at his waist.
Crimson blood streamed down his obese body. He clutched his chest with both hands, face twisted in agony, and let out continuous cries of pain.
The other two Alphas were clearly shaken by the scene before them.
One was still frozen mid-motion, pants half-down, while the other was pinning Su Zhiyu down.
But Su Zhiyu showed no sign of letting go.
He gritted his teeth, ignoring his palm, which was bleeding profusely from the glass shards, and kept driving the shards deeper into the man's chest with all his might, as if hell-bent on killing him on the spot.
"Su Zhiyu?"
Even though he'd braced himself, Qin Yan's heart still skipped a beat at the sight.
Fuck!
Qin Yan charged forward, yanked the Alpha off Su Zhiyu, raised the table leg, and slammed it down without a second thought.
With a dull thud, the table leg snapped in two.
Just then, Qin Mo arrived and caught the ferocity and brutality in Qin Yan's eyes.
Unfamiliar. Unexpected.
Qin Yan ignored Qin Mo at the door, and ignoring the man's wails, he crouched down to check on Su Zhiyu.
Qin Mo clearly saw the fierce look in his eyes shift in an instant, replaced by deep regret and pain.
Yes, pain.
Even his voice became unbelievably gentle.
"Su Zhiyu, it's me, I'm here. Don't be afraid. Can we let go? Come on, let go, don't be scared."
But at this moment, Su Zhiyu was like a terrified bird, feathers bristling in sheer panic.
At the slightest approach, he'd lash out like a madman.
Driven by primal instinct, he bit and swung his hands wildly.
Smack.
Qin Yan took a solid slap to the face.
He wasn't angry in the least. Watching Su Zhiyu's terror, the pain on his face seemed to echo in his heart.
"Qin Yan..."
Finally, a trace of clarity emerged in Su Zhiyu's eyes, reddened with fury and fear.
Qin Yan almost burst into tears: "It's me, I'm here. It's okay, don't be scared."
With that, he carefully extended his arms and gently pulled Su Zhiyu into an embrace, as if cradling a rare treasure, patiently soothing him before slowly trying to pry open Su Zhiyu's clenched hands.
His once fair, jade-like hands were now bloody and mangled.
Just looking at them, he felt the pain down to the bone. Yet Su Zhiyu didn't make a sound, as if he couldn't feel the pain at all.
Qin Yan's eyes burned fiercely.
Why couldn't he just stick to his guns? It was just changing clothes—what was there to be afraid of seeing?
The familiar scent of rum quickly dispelled those messy odors. Su Zhiyu grabbed at his sleeve, and the fragile composure he'd been clinging to instantly settled: *You came to save me... that's good.*
Qin Mo, standing at the door, clenched his fists hard, his face dark as a storm cloud as he stared at the two of them in their intimate posture, as if his eyes were about to shoot flames.
"A Yan."
He couldn't help but interrupt.
Qin Yan snapped back to reality too. Fine—he couldn't go after Qin Mo right now, so he'd just have to clean up this mess himself.
Qin Yan pulled out the cleaning towel he'd taken from the banquet, quickly wrapped Su Zhiyu's hand a few times, and murmured soothingly, "Wait for me a sec."
Just as he was about to rise, Su Zhiyu grabbed him in a panic. "Don't—don't go."
"Don't worry, I'm not leaving. I'll go deal with the bad guys for you. You sit tight and be good."
Qin Yan pried his hand away, turned around, and his smile vanished completely, leaving only a sinister, demonic aura.
The one stabbed in the chest hadn't been hit in the heart—no life-threatening danger—but Qin Yan wasn't about to let him off that easy.
His icy gaze swept over, and that Alpha forgot the pain entirely, clutching his chest in terror and scrambling to get away.
"Still trying to run away?"
Qin Yan's eyes narrowed. He grabbed an expensive bottle of liquor from the cabinet and smashed it over the man's head. Before he could react, Qin Yan grabbed a broken shard and drove it deep into the gland on the back of the Alpha's neck.
"Ahh!"
A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the room. Qin Yan felt it still wasn't enough—he twisted his hand hard, grinding that damn gland to shreds.
Still not enough.
Qin Mo's pupils trembled slightly, and he suddenly felt a chill run down the back of his own neck.
The other two were shaking so badly their legs were about to give out. Before they could escape, Qin Yan caught them and did the same to them.
The gland was the foundation of an Alpha—if it was destroyed, that person was as good as done for.
Qin Yan moved fast; all three took him barely a minute total.
He tossed aside the bloodstained broken bottle, let out a breath, ignored the three groaning on the floor, and turned to Qin Mo, who was watching from the sidelines. He forced a smile. "Brother, you'll take care of this, right?"
Qin Mo: ...
Qin Yan didn't wait for an answer. He knew Qin Mo would clean it up anyway—as long as no one was dead.
"Su Zhiyu, I avenged you."
That bastard's gland was destroyed, and his junk was ruined too. If he could, he'd have taken their damn lives outright.
Qin Yan spat out a mouthful of blood.
Damn it—he'd bitten down hard enough to draw blood.
"Let's go." He bent down and scooped the man into his arms. As he passed Qin Mo, he paused briefly and added in an unreadable tone, "Su Zhiyu is mine. Brother, anyone who touches him—I won't let them get away."
Great story of Qin Yan and Su Zhiyu! Can’t wait to see how their relationship progresses 👍👍👍👍
