Chapter 5: Show Me How

Chapter 5: Show Me How

"Why?" Leng Xi Yue was very puzzled.

"A VIP has requested your company for a drink," Wang Li said excitedly.

A VIP? Not her children's father, right? That's definitely a situation to avoid.

"Miss Xi Yue, please," Chen Yu extended his hand invitingly.

"Sorry, I don't drink!" Leng Xi Yue firmly refused.

"Then I will!" Wang Li was eager for the opportunity.

Clearing her throat excitedly, she burst into the private room, cooing, "Mr. Gong, Xi Yue here is our mermaid and doesn't drink. Li Li can serve Mr. Gong instead..."

"Get out—"

With a fierce shout, Wang Li was sent flying out of the room.

"Sister Wang!" Leng Xi Yue quickly went to help her.

The sight of those cold eyes inside the room made her shiver uncontrollably, not expecting the father of her children to have such a terrible temper, showing no compassion.

Lucky for her, their relationship was only a one-night stand; marrying him would have meant no happy days.

Wait, what did Wang Li call him? Mr. Gong?

Could it be Gong Xin... Yi?

Impossible, impossible, Leng Xi Yue shook her head, reasoning that as someone abandoned at birth by her parents, how could she be so fortunate? This man couldn't possibly be Gong Xin Yi; it must just be a coincidence that he also had the surname Gong!

"Why are you shaking your head? Dissatisfied with me?" Gong Xin Yi on the sofa coldly questioned Leng Xi Yue.

"I..."

Unsure of how to explain her shaking head, Leng Xi Yue, fueled by a sense of justice upon recalling how this man treated Wang Li, stood with hands on her hips and said, "You're right, I am dissatisfied with you! A grown man, strong enough to serve his country, yet here you are bullying a weak woman. What kind of hero does that make you, preying on the vulnerable?"

Wang Li, terrified, quickly covered Leng Xi Yue's mouth, whispering in her ear, "Stop talking, he's Gong Xin Yi!"

Chen Yu also approached Leng Xi Yue, warning in a low voice, "Better keep quiet if you don't want to die!"

Leng Xi Yue's eyes widened in shock. She hadn't misheard? This man was Gong Xin Yi!

She had secretly given birth to Gong Xin Yi's child? And six at once? If Gong Xin Yi found out, would she live to see another day?

My god, she must never let Gong Xin Yi find out about the six adorable tots, or she'd be dead.

Gong Xin Yi stood up, an imposing presence, stepping closer to Leng Xi Yue with each move.

Everyone was terrified by this scene, Leng Xi Yue herself panicked, involuntarily stepping back, her toes already subtly changing direction, planning to run away the moment Gong Xin Yi was distracted.

Sensing Leng Xi Yue's intent to flee, Gong Xin Yi stepped forward, his tone authoritative, "Firstly, I'm not a 'seven-foot man,' at least nine. An ancient foot is just about seven inches by today's measurements, I'm not that short!

Secondly, which eye of yours saw me not serving my country? The taxes paid by Gong Shi Group annually are unmatched, and the least amount donated to charity is astronomical.

"Thirdly, you didn't witness the cause of the incident. What right do you have to accuse me of bullying? It was she who harassed me first, and I merely taught her a lesson!"

Leng Xi Yue was left speechless by Gong Xin Yi's words, stunned for a long while, then incredulously asked Wang Li, "Did you really harass him?"

"I..."

Before Wang Li could answer, Gong Xin Yi coldly interjected, "She touched my hand!"

Touched, touched his hand?

Leng Xi Yue nearly laughed out loud, "That's called harassment?"

"Then what constitutes harassment? Huh?" Gong Xin Yi grabbed Leng Xi Yue's collar in one swift motion, "Show me!"

"I... I don't know how, I can't!" Leng Xi Yue stuttered, her eyes filled with fear.

This man is truly terrifying; she must stay far away from him in the future.

"You don't know? Are you sure you don't?" Gong Xin Yi kicked the door shut, pinning Leng Xi Yue against it with one hand, "Don't tell me you don't understand anything."
