Chapter 44 Gong Family Villa
byChapter 44 Gong Family Villa
Leng Xiyue tried many times, nearly out of strength, but thinking of her six children who depended on her, she wouldn't give up hope.
Exhausted, she simply closed her eyes.
It wasn't that she gave up struggling, but she was conserving her strength.
She didn't believe that the whirlpool would spin forever.
While the whirlpool spun, she could breathe freely; instead of futile struggling, it was better to go with the spin, maintain normal breathing, and conserve energy.
When the whirlpool stopped, she would have enough energy to leave the dark hole at the water's bottom.
Gong Family Villa.
Gong Xinyi returned to the city, not comfortable leaving the children in the small inn, so he brought all six to his villa.
Worried the children might be shy, he asked Jin Yu to stay with them.
Suddenly having seven more people in the house, including the rare sextuplets, the servants found it quite novel.
"Butler, arrange for the kitchen to make some delicious food for the children and then have them take a hot bath!" After instructing, Gong Xinyi, exhausted, headed towards the bathroom.
"Yes, young master!" The butler immediately went to make arrangements.
Passing by Jin Yu, he noticed her earthy and muddy appearance, frowning in disapproval.
This country woman really lacks manners; doesn't she know the young master has a preference for cleanliness?
"Stand over there!" The butler directed Jin Yu to stand in a specific spot.
Jin Yu complied immediately, hurrying to follow the instruction.
She had never seen such a luxurious villa or such lavish decorations before, looking around with immense envy.
This very act of looking around made the butler disdainful: truly a country person, unaccustomed to the world.
The six little ones were more curious than Jin Yu, looking here and there, crawling under the sofa and table, among various household items they had never seen before.
They too had come back from the muddy roads of Jin Family Village, their bodies covered in mud, leaving muddy prints everywhere they crawled.
The butler was extremely disgusted and quickly ordered the house servants to clean up.
"Uncle's house is so big!" exclaimed Da Ya sincerely.
Er Ya nodded her little head hard, "Yeah, and it's very beautiful, just as beautiful as the houses on TV!"
"Look, there are little goldfish here!" San Ya leaned over a huge fish tank.
She loved the little goldfish in the tank so much that she couldn't help but try to catch them.
The little goldfish swam fast, and she couldn't catch them no matter how hard she tried, her body leaning forward continuously.
"Thump—"
San Ya fell straight into the fish tank.
"Oh my, a child fell into the fish tank!" a maid shouted in alarm.
The butler and other servants immediately rushed over, trying to lift San Ya out of the fish tank.
To everyone's surprise, San Ya fell into the water and was overjoyed, swimming in the fish tank and chasing after the goldfish back and forth.
"Wow, this is fun, I want to play too!" Liu Ya followed suit and climbed to the edge of the fish tank, ready to jump in.
"Don't you dare jump!" The butler glared fiercely at Liu Ya, thoroughly exasperated by these children.
Startled by the butler's shout, Liu Ya immediately burst into tears.
"Why are you scaring the child?" Jin Yu quickly picked up Sixth Darling and started to comfort her.
"Who do you think you are? Yelling at me like that!" The butler pointed at Jin Yu, scolding her, then banged on the fish tank with his finger, yelling at Third Darling inside, "Get out! Come out right now, or I won't be nice to you!"
Third Darling, utterly disappointed, surfaced unhappily.
The butler yanked Third Darling out in one go, angrily spanking her, "Who told you to jump into the fish tank? Do you know how expensive these goldfish are? One costs over a million, selling all six of you wouldn't even cover the cost!"
Third Darling had never been hit by anyone in her life, and couldn't bear the humiliation of being spanked by the butler today.
She burst into tears with a loud "wah."
Sixth Darling was crying nonstop, and Third Darling kept on wailing.
Far from consoling the children, the butler was annoyed to death. He couldn't understand why his young master would bring back such unruly wild children from the countryside.
