Chapter 19 I Hate Sheng Ai
byChapter 19 I Hate Sheng Ai
During class, Sheng Xiyang found a seat at the back of the room, and Cao Jing and Feng Yue sat next to him.
The three of them seemed like the big three; as soon as they sat down, the students in front stiffened their backs and fell silent.
Sheng Xiyang had brought some books left by his original self from home. From these books, it was evident how much the original self hated studying—there were scribbles all over them, making Xiyang frown.
The classroom suddenly quieted down, and Sheng Xiyang looked up to see a man in a long robe enter.
It seemed that when a teacher enters, students immediately become quiet—a timeless truth.
The man had a stern face and scanned the classroom, his gaze landing on Sheng Xiyang.
After a few seconds, he snorted coldly and turned away with a flick of his sleeve.
Xiyang: "…"
Is this the script for someone everyone hates?
But thankfully, he had his brother.
Sheng Xiyang lowered his head and glanced through the book for a while before turning to whisper to Cao Jing, "Was there any homework before?"
Cao Jing was cleaning his ears, "What?"
"Homework," Sheng Xiyang thought for a moment and rephrased, "You know, assignments given for us to do after class."
"Tch," Cao Jing rolled his eyes, "I never do Old Liu's assignments, right, Feng Yue?"
Feng Yue nodded beside him.
Xiyang thought, then why are you here...
But Cao Jing still remembered something, "I hate his class. He talks about modern poetry and vernacular poems, so tacky. I don't like it. We have to write an essay after class. What did I write? A big monkey jumping into the sky."
Sheng Xiyang: "Pfft."
The classroom fell silent for a moment.
Sheng Xiyang immediately lowered his head, feeling the sharp gaze from the podium sweep over him.
He thought, I didn't mean to cause trouble, sorry, sorry.
But Teacher Liu seemed tired and didn't want to deal with the trio at the back. He simply reminded the other students to read their books carefully.
Sheng Xiyang kept his head down, his eyes on the book, noticing the heavy pen marks on the page.
The marks were dense, clearly indicating that the next page had been written on heavily, almost piercing through the paper.
Sheng Xiyang hesitated for a moment before flipping the page.
When he saw the next page, he was completely stunned.
The page was filled with messy handwriting, and the first sentence read:
"I hate Sheng Ai, I hate him, I hate him."
Sheng Xiyang froze.
He was shocked, staring at those words.
This was clearly written by the original self, but why...
Why would he hate Sheng Ai?!
Sheng Xiyang was hesitant to continue reading, fearing what might be written next. But he couldn't help himself, even though his hand trembled slightly on the desk, he continued.
The handwriting was particularly messy and hard to read.
It took him a while to decipher the next sentence.
"He knew all along that I'm not his real brother, yet he treats me so well. Is he trying to make me feel guilty and die?
Sheng Ai must want me dead. I'm so detestable, yet he's still kind to me. Hahaha, either he's crazy or I am.
I... I can't take it anymore.
Everyone hates me, but I'm not Sheng Xiyang.
I can't become Sheng Xiyang.
I just want to die."
Sheng Xiyang's eyelashes quivered as he continued reading.
The writing became increasingly illegible, but he pushed on until the very end of the page, where the last discernible sentence read:
"I'm not called Sheng Xiyang, my name is Lin Xiaonan."
