The rickshaw that nearly hit someone had long since been pulled away, and the street was bustling with people and various noises ringing in their ears.

Sheng Ai took a long time to release Sheng Xiyang's hand and asked him, "Are you hurt?"

"No," Sheng Xiyang stepped back slightly and whispered, "I just got a bit of a fright."

It wasn't the rickshaw that scared him, but Sheng Ai did.

Sheng Ai reacted too quickly; before Sheng Xiyang could even realize what was happening, he was pulled into his arms.

He forgot what he had said earlier and followed Sheng Ai, still clutching the few silver dollars. After walking several steps, he saw a little girl selling flowers not far away.

The girl was young, looking no more than twelve or thirteen, holding flowers in her arms and placing some by her side.

In that moment, Sheng Xiyang suddenly didn't care much about saving the silver dollars anymore.

He walked over quickly, and upon seeing him, the little girl smiled sweetly, "Brother, would you like to buy some flowers?"

The little girl had a round face, and for some reason, Sheng Xiyang found her adorable. He took out a silver dollar and handed it to her, "Give me one bouquet."

The little girl stared at the silver dollar for a long time, "I don't... have that many flowers."

"I only want one bouquet," Sheng Xiyang smiled and put the silver dollar into her pocket, "Big brother doesn't have that many hands either."

But the little girl felt troubled and hesitated to accept it.

After much persuasion, Sheng Xiyang finally convinced her to take the money.

She carefully selected the prettiest bouquet and handed it to Sheng Xiyang, a bunch of pure white lilies, "Thank you, brother. Please come again next time."

Sheng Xiyang took the bouquet and turned to go back.

Sheng Ai was waiting for him by the roadside nearby.

Sheng Xiyang handed the bouquet to Sheng Ai, imitating the little girl's tone, his eyes crinkling with a smile, "Please walk slowly, brother. Please come again next time."

He couldn't help but laugh after saying it himself.

Sheng Ai seemed to be stunned for a moment, then after a brief pause, he couldn't help but smile slightly.

He reached out to take the lilies from Sheng Xiyang, gazed down at the dewdrops on them, and quietly said, "Alright, I'll come again next time."

Sheng Xiyang looked at Sheng Ai and thought he seemed a bit happier.

Sheng Ai got into the car with the flowers and placed them on the back seat.

Sheng Xiyang followed him into the car.

Not far away, the little girl excitedly covered her pocket and hopped over to a spot between two buildings, calling out to a boy sitting there, "Brother, brother!"

The seventeen- or eighteen-year-old boy, dressed in simple linen clothes, sat in a corner where no one could see him, watching the little girl sell flowers all along.

She ran up to him and took out the silver dollar from her pocket, gently blew on it, and placed it in the boy's palm, "A big brother gave me this much just now."

The boy held the silver dollar and looked at it under the sunlight for a while, exclaiming, "Wow, rich people are amazing. They use silver dollars to buy flowers."

"Right?" The little girl squeezed in beside him, swinging her tiny feet, "Brother, can we have this much money in the future?"

The boy seemed full of ambition and declared boldly, "Of course we can. Once your brother finds a job and earns money, I'll buy you pretty dresses." He paused, "See that shop window over there? All those dresses will be yours!"

"Great!" The little girl laughed happily, "Brother is the best!"
