    Chapter 66: Side Story

Chen Zui accepted Lu Mingye's invitation to his home, where Lu Mingye had prepared a candlelit dinner. The setting was exquisitely romantic, and Lu Mingye himself was dressed provocatively—a black fishnet top that contrasted sharply with his pale skin. His toned body was tantalizingly visible through the mesh, especially around the chest, where it teasingly appeared and disappeared with his movements, drawing Chen Zui's gaze.

Chen Zui couldn't help but steal several glances.

He handed a bouquet of roses to Lu Mingye: "Thank you for having me. I hope you like them."

A surprised smile touched Lu Mingye’s lips as he shyly accepted the vibrant roses: "Thank you, I love them."

He first gave Chen Zui a tour of the house. The two, in high spirits, soon settled at the dining table. Lu Mingye poured the decanted red wine into a stemmed glass and offered it to Chen Zui.

"I’m so glad you could come."

"It’s my honor to be invited."

Their exchange was filled with polite but ultimately empty pleasantries.

Chen Zui took the glass, elegantly clinking it with Lu Mingye’s, producing a clear "ding." Their gazes intertwined as they raised their glasses and took a delicate sip.

Seeing Chen Zui drink, Lu Mingye’s expression grew even more delighted.

As they chatted over dinner, Lu Mingye cut his steak: "I never imagined we would one day sit together and share such a peaceful meal."

After all, they used to clash whenever they met.

    Chen Zui: "Call it fate."

They didn't eat much, but the wine flowed freely. As dinner neared its end, Chen Zui's hand trembled as he set down his glass, nearly dropping the empty vessel. He felt dizzy and instinctively shook his head, only to find himself growing even dizzier. His vision blurred and doubled, and Lu Mingye across from him became indistinct.

Frowning, he tried to focus, only to see Lu Mingye casually swirling his glass, watching him with an amused expression.

    Chen Zui: "The wine…"

Lu Mingye chuckled: "The wine was drugged. But it’s too late for you to realize now."

He finished his own drink, and as he set the glass down, Chen Zui lost consciousness and collapsed.

Lu Mingye slowly approached Chen Zui, giving his cheek a light tap. The alpha remained unresponsive. He hummed contentedly—finally, Chen Zui was in his grasp. He had played along for so long just for this day, but every effort was worth it.

He lifted Chen Zui over his shoulder and headed towards the basement. Despite carrying such a large man, Lu Mingye’s steps were light and joyful—he had waited so long for this moment.

In the basement, he laid Chen Zui on a bed and opened a nearby box, revealing the outfit he had meticulously prepared for him.

Lu Mingye dressed Chen Zui piece by piece.

Chen Zui gradually regained consciousness, his heavy eyelids slowly opening to the sight of a mirror. The unfamiliar surroundings immediately put him on alert. He recalled what had happened before he lost consciousness—he had been outsmarted by Lu Mingye.

Chen Zui’s eyes darted around the room. There was only one tightly closed door and a single incandescent bulb. Beyond that, mirrors covered every wall and the ceiling.

His hands and feet were bound.

He tried to struggle, but the restraints were solid, impossible to break with brute force alone.

Chen Zui wasn't overly panicked, but he noticed that Lu Mingye had changed his clothes. And the outfit… he had been dressed in a maid costume—a very short skirt, a cropped top, and even a cute hair clip perched on his head.

    Chen Zui: …

Chen Zui felt that his physique made such a cute outfit look ridiculous, and he wondered about Lu Mingye's aesthetic. What was he thinking?

But what were all these mirrors for?

As he pondered this, the door opened, and Lu Mingye entered, clad in a bathrobe, exuding the air of a victor.

Their eyes met. Chen Zui, showing no sign of being a captive, even managed a smile. He moved his arm, causing the lace trim to sway: "Your taste is truly appalling."

If Chen Zui looked up, he could see himself in the ceiling mirror, but he dared not look, finding the sight unbearable.

What he didn’t realize was that, in Lu Mingye’s eyes, he was like a living aphrodisiac—an alpha with a lean, powerful waist, long straight legs, and sturdy arms exposed, an alpha among alphas, creating a stark, adorable contrast with the cute outfit.

Lu Mingye approached Chen Zui, fiddling with the frill on his hair clip: "Even more terrifying things are about to happen."

    Chen Zui’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Lu Mingye’s hand traced from his cheek to his Adam’s apple, suddenly tightening its grip. He released it only after Chen Zui’s face flushed red: "I know you despise me. All this time, you’ve been getting close to me for some ulterior motive."

    Chen Zui remained silent.

Lu Mingye: "But unfortunately, you’re in my hands now."

His hand moved to the skirt hem—when he changed Chen Zui’s clothes, he had only put this skirt on him.

His hand suddenly grasped, and his gaze held a feigned pity as it settled on Chen Zui’s face: "How will it feel to be devoured by someone you hate?"

He was eager to find out.

Chen Zui looked puzzled, his jawline tensing under Lu Mingye’s touch.

For a moment, he couldn’t tell whether this was meant as punishment or reward.

What followed left Chen Zui even more bewildered. Lu Mingye discarded his robe, and the mirrors clearly reflected his every move. No matter where Chen Zui looked, he couldn’t escape the sight.

Lu Mingye climbed on top, his face alight with excitement.

He was about to do what Chen Zui hated most, and he eagerly anticipated his reaction. Staring intently at Chen Zui’s face, he slowly consumed what was in his grasp.

Through the ceiling mirror, Chen Zui witnessed the entire process—a truly shocking scene. After all, something so small had such a large appetite. Though the progress was slow, it was indeed fully consumed.

It was like a magic trick—it disappeared, but the trick wasn’t over. After a while, it slowly reappeared.

Chen Zui’s breath seemed to halt. His eyes shifted from the mirror to Lu Mingye’s face. The alpha pursed his lips, looking as though it wasn’t easy, but upon noticing Chen Zui’s gaze, he immediately turned smug, as if saying, "See? You’re at my mercy now."

Chen Zui: …He seems to have misunderstood something.

Lu Mingye suddenly gripped his neck, a hint of ferocity in his tone: "How does it feel?"

After a moment’s hesitation, Chen Zui put on a humiliated expression, which greatly pleased Lu Mingye. Encouraged, he began to punish Chen Zui even more harshly.

The mirrors clearly reflected this "inhumane" punishment.

No matter where Chen Zui looked, he couldn’t escape the sight of himself being severely punished. Of course, he looked most often at the ceiling mirror—he needed to remember this humiliation. In the reflection, he could see how shamelessly the other tried to ruin him with moisture.

Chen Zui wasn’t one to wait helplessly. His bound hands moved cautiously, and when Lu Mingye wasn’t paying attention, he loosened the ropes. He didn’t make a move yet—his feet were still tied. It wasn’t time to counterattack.

He was waiting, waiting for the moment when Lu Mingye would be too overwhelmed by his victory to notice. That would be his chance to turn the tables.

Fortunately, that moment didn’t take long to arrive.

Lu Mingye reaped the rewards of victory and temporarily halted the punishment.

The mirror on the ceiling clearly showed how tightly he was being choked—truly heart-stopping.

As the victor, Lu Mingye was so excited that his face turned red.

This was the moment! The moment Chen Zui had been waiting for to seize victory from defeat. Without any hesitation, he clamped a hand on Lu Mingye's neck, restraining the off-guard opponent, while his other hand swiftly freed his bound feet.

By the time Lu Mingye snapped out of it and realized what was happening, he was already under Chen Zui's control.

Lu Mingye struggled, but the Chen Zui behind him was like a wall, a mountain.

He couldn't break free at all.

To keep Lu Mingye under control, Chen Zui hooked an arm under his knees and lifted him up like carrying a child to the bathroom—this way, his feet couldn't help him escape.

Chen Zui carried Lu Mingye to the mirror: "Who's the loser now?"

    He asked.

Now the defeated one, Lu Mingye's face twisted in fury.

Chen Zui relished his anger. Remembering the punishment he had just endured, Chen Zui felt his own anger flare. Naturally, he wouldn't let Lu Mingye off—he would pay him back tenfold, a hundredfold.

    "Look in the mirror."

    His tone brooked no argument.

Lu Mingye almost instinctively looked toward the mirror, and then he saw...

Chen Zui was far more cruel than him.

He struck him hard with a stick.

Blow after blow, one after another, hitting him until he couldn't help but cry out. Yet, feeling deeply humiliated, he gritted his teeth and held back—an alpha must not lose face even in defeat. He refused to believe Chen Zui could actually kill him.

Chen Zui indeed couldn't kill him, but he had to let out this fury.

It was a long, drawn-out punishment.

    The next day

Lu Chen, having finished her summer study trip, returned home: "Dad, Papa, I'm back~"

    "I got you presents~"

Now in third grade, Lu Chen had a very lively and cheerful personality. She was incredibly kind-hearted and always eager to help others—no one knew whom she took after.

Two sly ones gave birth to a little sweetheart~

Chen Zui and the other immediately crowded around, enthusiastically accepting the gifts.

    A chorus of "Wow~" followed.

Lu Chen happily put her hands on her hips, proud of her gift-selecting skills.

"Dad, what did you do at home? Did you miss me?"

Chen Zui and the other exchanged a guilty glance. They hadn't done much—just got carried away role-playing and put on a show.

They unanimously skipped the first question: "Of course we missed you."

Lu Chen: "I missed you too."

Ao Tian: "I missed my big niece too!"
