    Chapter 7: Let's Go!

"Good morning!!" Zheng Zheng's energetic shout filled the air.

His boisterous greeting amused both Xiao Lu and the cameraman. The cameraman, burdened by his equipment, could only smile, but Xiao Lu, unencumbered, crouched down with a grin and gently patted Zheng Zheng's chubby cheek as he happily sucked on his milk bottle. "Good morning, little one! I'm Sister Xiao Lu. What's your name, sweetie?"

The cameraman chimed in, "Didn't Mr. Wen just say it?"

Xiao Lu turned, fixing the cameraman with a death glare, then quickly turned back, her voice dripping with sweetness. "Hmm, what's your name, baby?"

With a soft "pop," Zheng Zheng pulled the straw from his mouth, flashing his tiny white teeth. "Zheng Zheng oh."

"Oh, Zheng Zheng! How adorable." Seeing Wen Yuchen head to the kitchen, Xiao Lu couldn't resist reaching out to hug Zheng Zheng, but the little one wriggled his chubby body, deftly evading her embrace.

"No hug, don't want," Zheng Zheng declared, refusing the cuddle.

Xiao Lu regretfully lowered her hands. "How old are you, little one?"

Zheng Zheng proudly held up his chubby hand, extending his index and middle fingers. "Two yeaws old!"

The child's sweet, milky accent was utterly endearing. His plump little fingers, when holding up two, had an adorably stiff thumb that stuck out, making the sight even more delightful.

Viewers watching the screen couldn't help but exclaim over his cuteness, many wishing they could "kidnap" the adorable child.

[Help, he's so cute I'm getting a nosebleed!]

[Wyc is nothing special, but his kid is truly adorable.]

[Just a kid. Typical of Wyc's offspring—still in diapers at this age and can't even speak clearly.]

[Hey, commenter above, you're really looking for trouble. You jerk, did you speak clearly at two years old? Come on, post a video then!]

[Heh, even someone like Wyc has fans now.]

[Haters, find a new insult. If you have nothing better to do, read a few more books. Zheng Zheng is only two. At this age, children have small bladder capacity, and their sphincter control is still developing. Some kids aren't yet able to hold their pee or sense when they need to go. Wearing diapers is perfectly normal.]

    [Wow, a science expert!]

[Language development for a 2-year-old typically includes: knowing about 50 words, using two- to three-word phrases, understanding simple instructions, and starting to imitate adult speech. About 50% of 2-year-olds have unclear pronunciation, such as saying 'apple' as 'appo' or omitting syllables. This is normal and usually improves with age.]

[So, in summary, Zheng Zheng's language development is normal. What's abnormal is the mindless hate from the haters. You must have been a difficult pregnancy for your mother.]

[Nobody cares about your fan drama. We just want to watch cute babies to relax. If you don't like it, click the top right corner and get out, okay? Life's already annoying enough.]

Xiao Lu reached out and gently touched Zheng Zheng's tiny finger, causing him to pull his hand back and press his lips together to stifle a giggle.

"Have you had breakfast?" Wen Yuchen asked, bringing the meal to the living room coffee table.

    "We've already eaten."

Wen Yuchen nodded, poured two glasses of water for them, and invited them to sit on the sofa.

Zheng Zheng, having finished his essential morning milk, thrust his little bottle at Wen Yuchen's face. "Daddy, wash bottle, sanitize."

Wen Yuchen placed the small bottle on the table, then picked up a flower-shaped bun. "Eat breakfast first. Today, Daddy heated up your favorite red bean buns, Zheng Zheng."

"Like!" Zheng Zheng's eyes lit up, and he scurried off to fetch his small chair.

He gripped the chair back with one hand and the edge of the seat with the other, grunting with effort as he shuffled it forward.

Xiao Lu watched, her heart itching to help him move the chair.

But as her hand reached out, Zheng Zheng cried out anxiously, "Zheng Zheng do it mysef! Zheng Zheng move!"

Xiao Lu, rejected for the second time, looked genuinely heartbroken.

"Zheng Zheng likes to do things himself lately. Sometimes even I get turned down when I try to help," Wen Yuchen explained, offering comfort.

    Xiao Lu nodded, understanding perfectly.

After breakfast, Xiao Lu continued with the show's schedule. "Mr. Wen, we'll officially depart at 9:30. Next, we need to pack our luggage. It will be livestreamed the entire time."

"Okay," Wen Yuchen agreed with a nod.

[Strange, Wyc has changed his tune. There was a show before that did a surprise luggage check, and he was squawking like a wild duck.]

[Yeah, why is he so normal this time? No drama at all.]

[Hmph, he's not causing drama *now*. Just wait until all the guests are together. Then we'll see if he makes a fool of himself.]

Wen Yuchen was actually quite cheerful and could even be wild with close friends.

This time, he wasn't intentionally trying to project a cool, composed image; it was his first time being a celebrity, and with a live broadcast, he was simply stressed.

Calm on the surface, he was sweating bullets inside.

Wen Yuchen retrieved a 32-inch black suitcase from the top of the cabinet, along with a small carry-on bag.

He opened the large suitcase and efficiently tossed in a few fabric items.

Xiao Lu asked, "Mr. Wen, what are these?"

Wen Yuchen replied, "Two sets of bed linens. When traveling far, I prefer bringing my own bedding. It just puts my mind at ease."

Xiao Lu nodded. "Exactly, exactly. I like bringing my own too when I travel. I always feel uncomfortable using outside ones."

[Even though you know they've been washed and sterilized, just thinking about others sleeping on them feels weird.]

[Right, right, it's hard to get past that mental block.]

[Turns out I'm not the only one like this.]

Xiao Lu asked, "Are these clothes for Zheng Zheng? Isn't it a bit much?"

Wen Yuchen replied, "Not at all. Zheng Zheng is very active. Sometimes he needs two or three changes a day. He can get his clothes dirty in ways you can't imagine."

Xiao Lu asked, "A little pillow? Is this Zheng Zheng's comfort object?"

Wen Yuchen replied, "Comfort object? Kind of. Zheng Zheng must sleep with this pillow. Zheng Zheng, we're not taking the scooter; it won't fit in the suitcase."

Xiao Lu commented, "The little pillow looks like it has some weight to it."

Wen Yuchen explained, "It's filled with buckwheat hulls and cassia seeds."

After saying this, Wen Yuchen scooped up Zheng Zheng, who was lying in the suitcase. "Go, get your diapers and formula for Daddy."

This little troublemaker had been a nuisance while he was trying to pack.

Zheng Zheng bustled about, tossing his diapers and formula all at once into the suitcase.

Wen Yuchen took a deep breath and dutifully continued packing.

Xiao Lu exclaimed, "Wow, Zheng Zheng's diapers and formula don’t look cheap. Are they expensive?"

Wen Yuchen replied, "The formula and these diapers cost around seven or eight hundred yuan. Zheng Zheng is still young—what goes in his mouth, and what's for his private parts. I can’t afford to be careless."

[How much?! Seven or eight hundred yuan for one can of formula and a pack of diapers? I don’t believe it.]

[He’s not lying. That one can of formula alone costs nearly seven hundred. My child drinks the same brand.]

[Such expensive formula is highway robbery! What’s the difference between formula and regular milk?]

[I only learned the difference after having a child and doing my research. They’re worlds apart. Anyway, my baby loves it and won’t touch any other brand.]

    [Same with my kid.]

Xiao Lu glanced at the comments and then at the expensive can of formula, sighing, "Little ones are such money pits!"

    This sentiment resonated with everyone.

Once the suitcase was packed, Wen Yuchen lifted it and set it on the floor with a solid "thump," a testament to its considerable weight.

After all the luggage was pushed to the door, Zheng Zheng still wanted to bring his little scooter but was refused by his dear dad. The little one was now sulking with a prominent pout.

Xiao Lu couldn’t bear it. "Maybe let him bring it?"

Wen Yuchen shook his head. "The place we’re going isn’t close. Bringing too much stuff will distract me from watching him."

After speaking with Xiao Lu, Wen Yuchen looked at his little boy, whose pout was so pronounced you could hang an oil bottle from it, and held up a small insulated cup with a kitten lid. "Whose little water bottle is this?"

"Hmph." Zheng Zheng’s little cat ears flicked, but he refused to look at his dad.

Wen Yuchen continued, "If no one wants it, then I won’t take it. If another child takes it later, don’t cry about it."

Hearing about "another child," Zheng Zheng instantly forgot his anger and ran over, lifting his little face. "Zheng Zheng’s. Other kids, no take. No cry-nose."

"Okay, other kids won’t take it." Wen Yuchen pinched his little ears and added, "Then will Zheng Zheng carry the Kitty water bottle by himself?"

"Okay." Zheng Zheng let Wen Yuchen strap the water bottle on him. "Self carry, Kitty water bottle."

At 9:30, Wen Yuchen had Zheng Zheng tuck in his little ears and put on his small hat.

Zheng Zheng, being young, liked to keep his ears exposed. *Maybe I’ll sew on some cat ears to his hat another day,* Wen Yuchen thought, looking at the now-hidden ears.

Wen Yuchen’s group was already ready to depart, while the other groups were just starting their broadcasts.

Viewers, having had their fill of mocking (the haters) and admiring the baby (the normal folks) in Wen Yuchen’s stream, seamlessly switched to the other families’ live broadcasts.

The group stood by the show’s car.

"Let’s go!" Wen Yuchen, no longer as reserved as before, wore a slight smile, raised his fist, and struck a "charge" pose.

"Let’s go!" Finally allowed to be held, Zheng Zheng, in Xiao Lu’s arms, cheered along with an excited yell.
