Chapter 52 Stay Stay Stay
byChapter 52: Stay, Stay, Stay
Gu Shiying gently kissed him back, igniting desires Fu Huan had long suppressed and dared not act upon.
He was waiting for Gu Shiying to be ready, but he had no idea how long that would take.
Restraint was one thing; longing was another.
As Gu Shiying closed his eyes and kissed him, Fu Huan’s innermost thoughts echoed ceaselessly in his mind.
"Gu Shiying, I want you, I want you."
[Gu Shiying, I want to be with you.]
[Gu Shiying, I want to share happiness with you.]
Fu Huan didn’t utter a word, yet Gu Shiying heard everything, without even needing to discern truth from falsehood.
Gu Shiying’s return kiss held a little more force.
He couldn’t help but reflect—had he truly been neglecting his boyfriend’s needs? Aside from kissing, they hadn’t done much else.
His response made Fu Huan pull him even closer, deepening the kiss as Gu Shiying let out a soft sound. But just as Fu Huan was about to go further, he paused abruptly, as if he’d touched a high-voltage wire, and put some distance between them.
Though Gu Shiying felt a little nervous, a spark of anticipation also flickered within him. No matter how loud Fu Huan’s thoughts were, Gu Shiying had his own judgment—he knew he harbored desires for Fu Huan too.
But Fu Huan still stopped, just as he had back in the dorm. His eyes were red with restraint, yet he couldn’t bring himself to take the next step.
Gu Shiying didn't press the issue: “Hmm?”
Fu Huan gently stroked the back of his head: “Want to watch a TV series or a movie?”
Gu Shiying nodded: “A series, I guess.”
Good movies weren't released every day, and there weren't many he'd wanted to see lately anyway.
Fu Huan scrolled through his phone, opened a streaming app, and picked a twelve-episode mystery series: “How about this one?”
Gu Shiying loved mysteries: “Yeah, the ratings are pretty high.”
Fu Huan cast it to the TV, and soon the classic opening scene of a mystery drama appeared—a dark sky, two fishermen excitedly reeling in their lines, thinking they’d hooked a big catch, only to pull up a large leather suitcase with a lock of black hair sticking out. The two screamed in terror.
Gu Shiying jumped too. He was already sitting in Fu Huan’s lap, and now he buried his face in Fu Huan’s shoulder.
Fu Huan: “You’re so easily scared, yet you love watching this kind of show?”
Gu Shiying retorted, pouting: “It’s the director’s fault for making it so gross. If it showed a complete body, I wouldn’t be this scared.”
Fu Huan kissed his lips and patted his back: “Alright, it’s all the director’s fault. How could they make such a scary show?”
Gu Shiying: “Exactly. Good thing we didn't watch this during dinner.”
Fu Huan was also glad that during dinner, they’d only focused on each other, without needing background entertainment.
The show was suspenseful, and Gu Shiying watched with great interest. They watched three episodes straight, and before they knew it, it was time for bed.
Gu Shiying yawned: “Let’s stop here.”
Fu Huan: “Okay, go shower first.”
Gu Shiying: “Should I go first or you?”
Fu Huan: “You go first. I’ll get your pajamas ready.”
Gu Shiying headed straight to the bathroom. Without even asking, he knew Fu Huan had already prepared everything for him.
There was only one bed in the house, and Gu Shiying wasn't shy about it. After his shower, he climbed right in, found a comfortable spot against the headboard, and started scrolling on his phone.
Perhaps because he’d opened ads for adult products for men before, his entertainment feed was now flooded with risqué videos of half-naked men—all clearly gay-oriented.
Gu Shiying: …
After scrolling through several videos, all featuring poorly dancing, half-naked men, Gu Shiying.
By the time Fu Huan came out of the shower, Gu Shiying had already sunk halfway under the covers. On his phone screen, a man with eight-pack abs was dancing jazz—with awful facial expressions and even worse dancing.
Fu Huan felt a surge of inexplicable anger. Still wet from the shower, he got into bed without even drying his hair.
He draped one leg over Gu Shiying’s thigh, pinning him under the blanket: “You like watching this?”
Gu Shiying met Fu Huan’s intense gaze. Not only was Fu Huan’s presence overwhelming, but he also had Gu Shiying’s hands pinned down. The phone slipped into the gap between the two pillows.
“No.”
Fu Huan was burning with jealousy: “Then why is it showing up? Gu Shiying, care to explain?”
Gu Shiying hurried to clarify: “Really, I didn’t search for it. Brother Jian sent me a link, and the algorithm started pushing this stuff…”
Fu Huan: “What link?”
Gu Shiying: “…”
Crap, how was he supposed to explain that?
Fu Huan stared straight at him: “Hmm?”
Gu Shiying’s hands were pinned to the pillow. Today, he realized just how much stronger Fu Huan was—he couldn’t move at all, not even his legs. What was this guy fed to get so strong?
The only part of him that could still move was his head. He craned his neck forward and brushed his lips against the corner of Fu Huan’s mouth.
Gu Shiying whispered: “You wanted to know why I’ve been avoiding you these past couple days, right?”
Fu Huan had nearly forgotten: “Hmm?”
Gu Shiying kissed him again: “Don't you want this too?”
Fu Huan wasn’t sure if he understood correctly: “What?”
Gu Shiying shifted his hips: “Don't play dumb. You’re already like this.”
Fu Huan: “No, Gu Shiying, you still haven’t told me the reason.”
Gu Shiying kissed him once more: “This is it. Every time you kiss my neck, you just kiss me once. Why don’t you keep going?”
Fu Huan liked Gu Shiying taking the lead, but was this moving too fast?
They hadn’t been dating long—was Gu Shiying truly ready?
Fu Huan’s features relaxed: “I just thought it might be moving too quickly for you. Are you really comfortable with this?”
Gu Shiying: "Do I have to spell it out for you? Let go, I'm not sleeping with you."
Fu Huan ignored him: "Are you serious?"
Gu Shiying: "Fake. Since you clearly don’t want to anyway."
Fu Huan: "Yes, yes, I do, I really do, but I... I’ve never done this before. I'm afraid I'll hurt you."
Gu Shiying was getting impatient with his dithering: "Are we doing this or not?" Clearly, he wanted it badly.
There was no way Fu Huan would refuse. He didn’t even need to answer—his next move with his hands already showed how badly he wanted it.
Actually, tonight, he had just wanted Gu Shiying to stay, just to sleep, to hold him while they slept, not to take things further right away.
Fu Huan let go of Gu Shiying, moved to the other side of the bed, and opened the drawer, where condoms and lube were stored.
Gu Shiying suddenly felt like he might have bitten off more than he could chew.
He tried to pull away, but the moment he tried to get off the bed, Fu Huan grabbed his ankle and pulled him back, then leaned down to kiss the calf he had been longing for.
Gu Shiying was at his limit: "Fu Huan!"
He really did whatever came to mind, not a single fake thought.
Fu Huan braced his hands on either side of Gu Shiying’s head and asked in a low voice, "Regretting it?"
Gu Shiying wrapped his arms around Fu Huan’s neck. Sooner or later, this was going to happen—might as well get it over with.
"No regrets, but..." Could you not be so aggressive? It’s a little scary.
Fu Huan only wanted to hear the first three words. He cut him off before he could finish.
Gu Shiying sighed inwardly. It was too late to regret now—Fu Huan had completely unleashed himself.
Strangely, as Gu Shiying trembled under Fu Huan’s kisses, he could no longer hear Fu Huan’s inner thoughts.
Gu Shiying was kissed until his whole body shook, tears welling in his eyes. He didn’t have time to wonder why he couldn’t hear Fu Huan’s thoughts anymore. Fu Huan was gentle, not making him uncomfortable, but he was also firm, not letting him retreat, guiding him step by step into sinking into passion together.
The temperature in Beijing had dropped sharply, but the heating hadn’t been turned on yet. The room was warmed only by the air conditioner.
Despite the falling temperatures outside, the retro-style room wasn’t cold. Instead, it grew warmer as the air conditioner continued to heat the space.
Fu Huan’s large, warm hands gently soothed his nervousness, whispering things into Gu Shiying’s ear that he usually couldn’t bring himself to say.
Gu Shiying felt like a small boat tossed by the waves.
It had been about half a year since he started being able to hear Fu Huan’s thoughts. In those six months, he had figured out his own sexuality and fallen in love.
Fu Huan was undoubtedly someone who knew how to be in a relationship and how to care for others. Every day with him was happy and full of anticipation for Gu Shiying, which was why he was willing to take this intimate step so quickly.
After their intimacy, Gu Shiying felt sticky all over and took a shower. He leaned against Fu Huan’s chest, zoning out for a while before falling asleep.
Fu Huan felt completely content. He pulled Gu Shiying closer into his arms and kissed the back of his head.
"Goodnight, baby."
Gu Shiying, not fully asleep, mumbled in response: "Goodnight, I’m exhausted."
Fu Huan let him rest on his arm and gently patted his shoulder. "Okay, I’ll let you sleep."
The night sharing a bed was no longer a sleepless one for Fu Huan. He slept soundly.
Tap, tap, tap.
Gu Shiying woke to the sound of a badminton racket.
Seriously, who the hell plays badminton early in the morning? Are they insane?
He struggled to open his confused eyes, seeing an unfamiliar ceiling and feeling the soreness in his body. All the memories came flooding back.
He tugged at the blanket. He never slept naked before, but now he had nothing on, his back pressed against a warm chest.
As soon as Gu Shiying moved, the person behind him reacted, his strong hands gripping Gu Shiying’s waist and tugging him flush against him.
Gu Shiying pushed his hand away and whispered, "Shameless."
Fu Huan’s warm lips pressed against his shoulder: "Who’s shameless? Since when do I need to worry about dignity when kissing my own husband?"
Gu Shiying rubbed his eyes: "Always with the smooth talk. Why is there badminton noise here?"
Fu Huan explained: "I forgot. It’s the weekend. The couple upstairs likes to play badminton in the morning. I usually go home on weekends, so I never noticed."
Gu Shiying let out an "oh": "So what do we do?"
Fu Huan: "I’ll report it to the property management later. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll find a new place."
Gu Shiying realized he was making plans for them to live together in the future.
He said deliberately: "Then I’ll just stay in the dorm. Moving is too much trouble."
Fu Huan, who had just gotten a taste, felt like this was a matter of life and death. He held Gu Shiying tightly.
"No way. How could you be so heartless?"
Gu Shiying: "Why not? Haven’t you gotten by just fine for over twenty years?"
"How is that the same? If you don’t live with me, you’re not leaving this room today." As he spoke, he pinned Gu Shiying down. "Will you live with me or not?"
Gu Shiying didn’t dare move. He was too sensitive there—if he moved, it would hurt.
"Fu Huan, let go."
"I won’t." Fu Huan even gave him a mischievous wink.
Gu Shiying glared at him: "You..."
It wasn’t exactly early, but they had just woken up. Everything was waking up.
Fu Huan laughed and threatened him: "Say it. Will you live with me?"
Gu Shiying’s limbs felt weak, and even his voice became uncharacteristically meek: "Fine, yes, yes, yes."
Satisfied with the answer, Fu Huan still didn’t let go. Instead, he kissed Gu Shiying’s neck.
A few minutes later, Gu Shiying melted.
Fu Huan chuckled softly: "That was quick."
The result of that comment was that Gu Shiying didn’t speak to him all morning after getting up.

-
Nan Shuyi was a free-spirited rebel who did as he pleased. He was constantly in the headlines for his antics, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him a playboy.
To rein in his wild streak, the Nan family forced an arranged marriage upon him.
The day before the wedding, he scoffed to his friends, "Pfft, as if I’d ever sleep with a guy in this lifetime."
On the wedding day, his arranged marriage partner sat before him like a Republican-era young master. He gave a slight, proper smile.
He said softly to Nan Shuyi, "Sir."
Nan Shuyi froze for a second, gathering his thoughts. He realized his ex-fiancée had been wrong—his life might not be so boring after all.
