Chapter 63
by AdminChapter 63
Upon entering, Wei Xi realized that his second disciple seemed to be upset, staring at him intently with a dark expression like the bottom of a pot.
He guessed it might be due to discomfort, considering how he had felt like exploding from pain in that hotel on the mountain earlier.
Stopping in his tracks, Wei Xi asked, "Are you very uncomfortable?"
The second disciple didn't respond but slammed the door shut. He turned to look at Wei Xi, his gaze like two bottomless abysses. Then, he took two steps closer and pressed up against him.
Despite his youthful and handsome face, there was an inexplicable sense of oppression when he was devoid of expression. Under his intense stare, Wei Xi's heartbeat involuntarily quickened, and he instinctively took two steps back, his back now against the door.
A blazing yang energy radiated from the other person, accompanied by a familiar scent.
Wei Xi tilted his head slightly, gazing into his disciple's eyes. The room's dim lighting made the air feel especially warm, vastly different from the chilly, biting coldness outside. The only source of heat out there had been...
Wei Xi's gaze drifted downward, landing on his disciple's attractive thin lips.
They were illuminated by the light, appearing incredibly delectable...
Perhaps his gaze was too intense, for the next moment, the disciple slowly raised his arm—there was a soft click, and the lights went out, plunging the entire room into darkness.
Moonlight filtered in through the partially drawn curtains. Wei Xi gazed at his disciple, who had reached to switch off the light right beside his ear. The young man's eyes seemed to glow even more vividly in the dark, his deep black irises reflecting Wei Xi's silhouette.
Uncertain of the disciple's intentions, Wei Xi remained unguarded, instinctively whispering, "Lu Que?"
The disciple didn't respond but lowered his head, drawing closer to Wei Xi's face.
In one step, then a single fist's distance, and gradually more.
Wei Xi wanted to say he wasn't very hungry, but the moment his lips were sealed, his body betrayed him, involuntarily welcoming the encounter.
As his mind began to blur, Wei Xi's final thought was:
His disciple seemed to be taking the initiative in feeding him more often lately.
The room without light offered an inexplicable sense of security, as if anything done within its walls would remain hidden.
Their lips entwined, and the empty space seemed to ignite with a scorching heat. Wei Xi wrapped his arms around his disciple's slender, strong neck, sensing an indescribable anger in the intensity with which he was being sucked on, the biting force much stronger than before.
The slight pain on his tongue and lips was tolerable, even sending shivers down the spine of the one experiencing it. Wei Xi felt his waist and legs weaken, baffled by the changes in his body as he succumbed to the irresistible intimacy. At the same time, an uncomfortable sensation elsewhere seemed to intensify.
A flame seemed to ignite along his spine, burning him from within, causing him to break out in sweat. He couldn't help but clench his arms, pressing himself closer, letting out a long, muffled groan.
Suddenly, his body felt weightless, his feet leaving the ground. When he landed again, he sprawled out, dazed, his back sinking into the soft pillows.
*********Pure Lamp*********
Heavy breathing filled his ears, trembling just like in the mountains. Wei Xi felt like he had been on a thrilling roller coaster ride. Opening his eyes, his mind was somewhat blank, but the discomfort had indeed lessened.
Though they hadn't done much, he felt incredibly drained. He lazily stretched his waist and looked at his silent disciple, who had propped himself up with an arm, still gazing at him with lowered eyes.
Was it over?
Just as Wei Xi thought this, his legs suddenly lifted and were bent behind him.
This sudden movement jolted Wei Xi back to reality. Though puzzled, he didn't resist, instead asking his kneeling disciple, "Lu Que?"
Upon hearing his name, the disciple indeed paused, maintaining his position as he continued to look at Wei Xi. As their eyes met, Wei Xi realized that he had never truly understood the disciple's gaze. This second disciple was vastly different from the first, who wore his emotions on his sleeve. Those deep black eyes were always brimming with countless feelings. Right now, Wei Xi even sensed a hint of sorrow in them.
Wei Xi asked with his legs bent, "What are you doing?"
The other party clearly heard him but didn't answer immediately. After a while, he finally spoke, and the voice that drifted into Wei Xi's ears was unusually hoarse. "Wei Xi, do you have a heart at all?"
Wei Xi made an exclamation. How could he not have one? Although he had been a wandering spirit in the past, wouldn't he be dead without a heart now?
Feeling something amiss, he propped himself up to see what was wrong with his disciple, only to have his shoulder pushed down again.
"Lu Que," Wei Xi grabbed his disciple's thin yet surprisingly strong arm. He was also very strong and could have struggled, but he was afraid that he might hurt the other party if he exerted too much force, so he could only use his voice to inquire, "Are you still unwell?"
His disciple lowered his body without a sound, covering him again with eyes that burned like a bonfire.
Wei Xi felt at a loss under his gaze. "Lu Que?"
But his disciple didn't respond.
For a moment, Wei Xi delved deeper into thought. His second disciple's body had never been in good condition; after kicking a helmet with his leg the last time, he had suffered pain for several days. Recalling this, he finally couldn't sit still any longer.
This stubbornness wouldn't do. But he wasn't as articulate as his first disciple, obviously unable to persuade him effectively.
As Wei Xi pondered this, he immediately changed his approach: "Wait a moment, I'll go get your senior apprentice brother to talk to you—" to persuade you.
But before he could finish his sentence, the disciple suddenly seemed to be provoked by something, and the force in his hands intensified dramatically. "You're still going to find him?!"
Wei Xi: "What?"
The disciple's anger, seemingly sourced from nowhere, was pent up without an outlet, causing his breathing to grow heavy. "Isn't it enough? You're still going to find him now?"
Wei Xi, who had just recovered, was once again jolted by the disciple's sudden action, causing his legs to kick involuntarily and his scalp to tingle. "What?"
The disciple's voice was cold. "What do you want to find him for? To act like this?"
Wei Xi could hardly speak coherently anymore, trembling as he tried to recall what the disciple was talking about. However, he suddenly remembered his forgotten task. "R-Right, your senior apprentice brother… Once we're done here, I need to ask him to…"
The disciple's gaze, as he stared down, seemed to be tinged with killing intent.
Wei Xi narrowed his eyes, swaying his head as he finally managed to piece together his words in a stammer. "…Ask him to find something to hang our certificates we received today."
Upon hearing this, the disciple paused abruptly, his body stiffening slightly.
Wei Xi had already given up resistance. He was physically exhausted now and didn't think much about it. "I wanted to go earlier, but you almost made me forget."
Apprentice: "…………………………"
******
Suddenly, the apprentice fell silent. Wei Xi waited for a while before lazily opening his eyes. "Que'er?"
A creak sounded from the bed, and he felt a sudden weight on him.
Unable to endure the suspense, Wei Xi opened his eyes to see what was wrong.
In the darkness, the second apprentice was firmly pressed against him, his head buried in the pillow beside his ear, making it impossible to read his expression. He seemed quite weary.
But perhaps his gaze was too intense, as after a moment, a hand slowly lifted to cover his face. "Sleep."
Huh? Sleep now? How could anyone sleep at a time like this?
Confused by the apprentice's ever-changing, unpredictable attitude, Wei Xi was also physically uncomfortable. "Que'er?"
Seemingly anticipating his words, the disciple pressed upon him without lifting his head, his voice muffled from beneath the pillow, "Bear with it!"
He sounded quite angry, which made Wei Xi feel a bit displeased. What was there for him to be angry about? I had just started to feel better, and now you've made me like this. Now you're asking me to endure it? How could there be someone so capricious?
However, his second disciple's waywardness wasn't something new, and Wei Xi had long grown accustomed to it. Upon reflection, he realized that while he had just enjoyed some respite, his disciple had been consistently...
Eventually, he couldn't bear it and, with his eyes and nose covered, he lifted his hand to push away the obstacle on his face. "Que'er, are you still in pain?"
The disciple, still buried in the pillow, refused to budge. He simply grasped his hand, held it tightly in his own, and gave a low, muffled hum in response.
Fingers gently slipped between the gaps of Wei Xi's fingers, causing him to pause in his actions. Their palms pressed together, warm and comforting, making him reluctant to break away. He whispered softly, "Do you really not need Master's help?"
Shuo Zong's head, buried in the pillow, remained still. Holding onto his hand, his anger seemed to dissipate, replaced by a deep sense of deflation. "Not needed."
Hearing the lackluster tone in his voice, Wei Xi attempted to shift his body to see him. However, as soon as he moved, he was embraced firmly through the blankets. Though his disciple appeared tall and slender, he was surprisingly heavy. With long, thin arms wrapped tightly around his waist, Wei Xi was immobilized but, concerned for Shuo Zong's well-being, could only tilt his head to nuzzle the ear that hadn't fully disappeared into the pillow.
Shuo Zong grunted softly, their entwined hands swaying slightly. His muffled voice echoed from within the pillow, "…Don't move around."
His voice was low and husky, tickling Wei Xi's ears. Still preoccupied with the matter of the certificate, he continued, "Your senior brother…"
"..." The second disciple interrupted him with a firm tone, "Dead!"
Wei Xi had been lying quietly, but at the mention of death, he struggled fiercely, almost toppling his second disciple who was lying on him. "What?!?"
Shuo Zong: "..."
Shuo Zong fell into a silence that lasted about five minutes before he forcefully pushed the seemingly gullible idiot back down. With his face buried in the pillow, he looked at Wei Xi's incomparably intelligent expression and felt even more disheartened. "...He's not dead. I was just joking."
Wei Xi, now back in his original position, finally turned his head to see his disciple's eyes. Their gazes met, and the panic that had arisen from his disciple's words somehow transformed into confusion. The shimmering moonlight outside the window reflected in the disciple's eyes, which seemed to hold a story, leaving Wei Xi mesmerized for a while. "...What's wrong with you?"
His disciple stared at him calmly. This time, the silence stretched on even longer, so long that Wei Xi thought he wouldn't speak again. Then, as if nothing was amiss, the disciple gently tugged on his hand and said,
"Nothing's wrong. Go to sleep."
Perhaps the atmosphere was too natural, so Wei Xi didn't consider returning to his own room. He held his disciple's hand, lay down, and naturally nestled closer to the other person under the covers.
The other person in bed instinctively wrapped their arms around him, then paused. Feeling the shape and breath within their embrace, they opened their eyes, expressionless, and gazed at the dark ceiling above.
What was going on? Why were his emotions fluctuating so abnormally today?
Perhaps only the heavens would know.
